Challenges
From the start Jada had it rough from the abuse at home, then the bullying at school then to find out she had an underlying illness that her mother just didn't care about. Ms. Carmella fueled with her hate for her daughter because of her father was out of this world; but after being diagnosed and in her last year of high school Jada had enough once her mother had finished beating her she crawled to her room and straight out of the window determined.
Mona Watson was indeed a real true best friend. Mona always had Jada's back always trying to boost her self esteem, standing up for her when she lost her voice unable to fight back when at school. Then there's Quincy his intentions were genuine but he was weak minded he loved Jada and attempted to be there for her but his flesh wouldn't leave Megan alone whom thought just because she came from money whatever she wanted she could have and she wanted Quincy and did whatever it took to come between him and Jada it worked not just once either she and her friends were just messy.
Just as the senior year was coming to a close Mr. Jim Sr finally found his daughter with the help from Mrs. Watson they were able to meet and build a relationship, as well as one of her bullies being her own half brother. Years later after college Jada and Mona stilled best friends doing their thing meets a successful rich basketball player that she has to interview, during those days of getting her story a bond between her and Brison formed. Not wanting to tell the whole story but it gets better as you read on, it's a must read to the point I hope Author Lashae writes more about these characters.

Surprise ending
I didn't see that ending coming. I was for sure she would end up with her first everything. I was happy she found the happiness she deserved. If anyone deserves happy, it's the two of them.
