Unfortunately, this book didn’t work for little ol’ me. While it did have stuff that I typically enjoy, such as emotional depth, mystery, and a mafia backdrop. It just didn’t fully pull me in. I really wanted to connect with it more, but I struggled to fully engage with the characters and the story as it progressed. Whether it was the pacing, the character development, or my reading mood, it just didn’t click for me😩
Despite this not hitting, I still believe that people who love emotional stories, personal growth, mystery, and slow-burn would enjoy this. So if you're a reader who loves those, you should definitely check this out!🖤

I wasn’t expecting to be this hooked, but My Beautiful Rage surprised me in all the best ways. It started off with the usual mafia arranged marriage setup, but the emotional depth and intensity pulled me in way deeper than I thought it would.
Damien is cold, arrogant, and honestly hard to like at first. But what stood out is how much he changed. His character development felt real. He didn’t just say sorry he put in the effort to fix what he broke. Watching him slowly shift from distant to completely consumed by Rena was addictive to read.
Rena was everything I hoped for in a heroine. She’s been through so much, but she doesn’t break. I admired that she didn’t just forgive Damien right away she made him earn it. She stayed true to herself, kept her softness, but still demanded respect. The balance was written beautifully.
The chemistry between them was undeniable. There was tension from the start, and when it finally exploded, it was intense but never overdone. The writing was vivid and emotional there were moments I felt like I could see the scenes playing out like a movie. And once the plot twists hit in the second half? I couldn’t look away.
This book gave me everything I look for in a dark romance: conflict, growth, emotional tension, and a couple that leaves a mark. Damien and Rena were messy, raw, and unforgettable.

This was my first dark and mafia romance, and I think I might just have fallen for the genre!!!!
First of all, I need to praise the spice! And damn does it have spice! 🔥
Second, I need to praise the story. The story is very raw and brutal and yet extremely beautiful! I felt as shattered and as high as the character through the whole book!
And the way that, at times, the writing turns so lyrical is amazing!
I adore this story and the way it did not hold back from forcing me through the same rollercoaster Rena was put through!!!!

Just finished this ARC and lemme tell you one thing.
MARY JACKSON? She ate. Devoured. Licked the plane clean.
First of all… Damian. Sir. SIR. You had me ready to throw my phone across the room in the first chapters. THE audacity, the nerve, the arrogance. I was one snap away from PERSONALLY marching into MJ’s fictional world and slapping the shit out of you.
But then, ohhh the betrayal, I started falling for him. Against my will, im guilty as charged your honor. The way this man melted for his “tulip”? The character development was chef’s kiss. From ice-cold mafia king to “I’ll burn the world for you” husband material… yeah, okay Damian, you win. The arranged marriage tension? Delicious. The dark romance vibes? Perfectly broody with just enough softness to make me swoon. And Rena—our tulip—deserves every ounce of love she got.
But listen… I need Damian’s POV.I want to crawl inside that man’s brain and see every unspoken thought, every moment he realized he was a goner for Rena, every time he fought (and lost)the urge to be soft.

UMMMM??? Why did My Beautiful Rage lowkey devour me?? I went in expecting the usual arranged mafia vibes and came out emotionally wrecked in the best way. This book had me screaming, kicking my feet, clutching my Kindle like it was the last cannoli in the mafia boss’s kitchen.
Let’s talk about Damien first: certified menace to society™ in the beginning. He’s forced into marrying Rena and decides to make it everyone’s problem. But then?? THE GROVEL. Not just a “sorry, babe” moment—he put in work and I respect that. Watching him go from ice-cold, arrogant alpha to obsessed protector?? The growth had me sobbing and swooning simultaneously.
And Rena?? That woman is steel wrapped in silk. She’s been through hell and still holds her head high. I loved that she didn’t instantly forgive Damien—she made him feel it. The way she handled him and still stayed soft without being a pushover?? ICONIC. Their chemistry?? OFF THE MF CHARTS. The kind that sizzles in silence and explodes when the tension finally snaps.
The second half of the book?? PLOT TWIST CENTRAL. I was not okay. Family secrets, betrayal, intense suspense, and actual mafia chaos that had me gasping. And the writing? Vivid AF. I could see every dark hallway, every stolen glance, every emotionally charged whisper like it was a Netflix original.

I'm a total sucker for a good mafia, arranged marriage books so of course when given the opportunity I had to give this book a read, and I'm so thankful I did. When I was told this was Mary Jackson's debut book I couldn't believe it, her writing gave me seasoned author vibes. It's honestly a masterpiece. The perfect blend of tension, love, and spice. A top read of my 2025. I loved how raw, brutal, and beautiful Damien and Rena's story was. It had me going through all the emotions. The chemistry between these two is absolutely undeniable. Then slamming us with that plot twist had me feeling whiplash. All in all a binge-worthy read. And I can't wait to dive into the next book.

I love a good dark mafia romance and this ticked all the boxes and the spice was refreshing. The plot was nothing like I'd read before from others. Nothing was predictable for me and I went from hating Damian to loving him so much. He was clearly misunderstood due to his family's history and what he believed to have happened.

I’ll start by saying that the writing style and format were quite different from what I typically read and I noticed a few mistakes along the way.
At first, I found the mmc to be absolutely vile and cold. I really struggled to like him at all! It also bothered me that the fmc seemed so naive and unaware of the world around her. But as I read on, I realized how wrong my earliest impressions were! I came to appreciate Damian’s redemption arc and his dedication to becoming a better person for her. He was completely consumed by her, wanting to do everything he could for her. Deep down, he’s a very hurt man who has faced significant challenges in his life. The story gradually reveals the reasons behind his behaviour.
Rena displayed incredible strength and I admired how authentically her emotions were portrayed. Even after experiencing betrayal and hardships, she managed to remain true to herself, which resonated with me on many levels. Both characters carry a lot of pain and that complexity really added depth to the story. Their trip to Moscow had my heart, but the events that followed left me shattered.
The emotional depth, family drama and secrets, along with the tension between Rena and Damian, completely hooked me!

This book took me by surprise in a good way. My Beautiful Rage is a solid mafia romance with all the drama you’d want in an arranged marriage setup. The slow burn hits just right, and the grumpy sunshine dynamic adds a nice tension that builds as the story unfolds.
Rena is soft but not weak. When Damien messed up, she didn’t just forgive him; she made him earn it. Damien started out as an arrogant jerk, but the man grovelled, and I loved every second of it. And that plot twist? Totally didn’t see it coming.

I’ll start by saying that throughout there are some mistakes and the style of speech threw me but I got used to the flow pretty quickly.
I found this story quite slow. It was all about Rena being forced into an arranged marriage with a mafia family as her dad wanted to make sure she was safe when he had died. Damian her husband started off as cold and could never love her but that of course changed the moment he would do anything for his wife.
There was minimal action so we don’t truly see the mafia side of things but only infer the family is dangerous. Rena does find out a pretty big secret half way through and it takes ages before anything even comes from it.
Maybe this mafia genre is not for me but ⭐️⭐️

This story was everything!! I story hit so deep that I can’t say it enough 🥺❤️ The couple have my entire heart man !! The struggles , the plot , the storyline basically everything made me feel for them deeply.🥺🥺❤️This story is a slow burn which I definitely worth it with tension , betrayal and so much more. The plot was really done well. I loved how it was well written giving depth to the characters int he book. There were almost times I cried l… I don’t have enough words to be honest. It was just mind blowing how it was related to day to day life and struggles of a marriage and love overall, the realness of this story with twists and turns was everything. ❤️ And reading stories like these make me realise how much I love and adore reading books🥺❤️❤️

Damian is hard to like at first (and honestly, I didn’t), but watching his walls slowly crack was one of my favorite parts. The chemistry is sharp, the drama keeps you hooked, and the writing has a dark, emotional edge that matches the story perfectly.
It’s not a light romance as it is intense, gritty, and sometimes emotionally heavy but that’s what made it stick with me. If you like morally grey characters, slow burn tension and love stories that feel earned, you’ll probably enjoy this one.

First of all, a huge thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review. This was actually my first ARC and I was really excited to dive in because the tropes Mafia Romance, Arranged Marriage, Grumpy x Sunshine, and Hate to Love are exactly the kind of stories I usually go for.
That being said, this one unfortunately didn’t fully work for me. I went in hoping to love it, especially since the setup had so much potential. The MMC starts off as a complete jerk and while I did notice some growth later. I personally struggled with the way he treated the FMC in the beginning. While she showed some emotional strength but she didn’t feel strong in the way I prefer. She was shy, compliant, and often went along with his decisions rather than challenging him or holding her own. For me, I enjoy leads who can push back and really make the MMC work for their attention and respect.
I did read up to 40%, but at that point I decided to DNF. Not because the writing wasn’t good but because I just couldn’t connect with the characters or the direction the story was taking. I also want to be fair and say that since I didn’t finish, I can’t give a full opinion on how the characters or story might have developed later on.
Overall, even though it wasn’t the perfect fit for me, the writing is solid, and while reading, I could sense that there might be a big plot twist later on. I hope other readers will enjoy the story as much as I imagine they will.

Okay wow, this was way more than I expected! We got family secrets, betrayal, chaos, and so much groveling it had me hooked. Honestly, nothing about the plot felt predictable, it kept me on my toes the whole way through.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I devoured it. There were so many plot twists that you didn't see coming. The authors writing style is so good. It felt like you were there with them, going through all of their ups and downs. Definitely a must-read if you like dark, mafia, arranged marriage, enemies to lovers.

Rena, though she’s amazing. She’s been through so much, but she’s still sweet and strong. I really admired how she didn’t just forgive Damien right away. She made him go through everything she went through, and it felt so deserved.
I ended up loving both Damien and Rena so much. They balance each other so well, and the chemistry between them was just chef’s kiss. Also the plot twist?! I did not see it coming. The second half of the book completely surprised me in the best way.
Overall, I loved this book and I’m seriously dying to get my hands on the next one. Definitely a new favorite!
