I HATE THE HEROINE AND THE HERO IS JUST TOO MUCH FOR ME
So she has loved him all her life and he wants to get married before they have intercourse but the heroine what's to sample the goods. She is not on birth control so they try other things. Oh and get this they want to do the whole Bondage Dom/sub thing and this is the best part, they are both virgins!!
Okay here guys but correct me if I am wrong but oral and anal are still sex right!?
I mean did I miss the memo here!?
WOW JUST NO MORE FOR ME HERE! Done with virgins who are not for reason that are stupid!!!
Boy did I love this read! The concept was intriguing to me.. The youngest cowboy in the McLemore clan Rory is holding out for his girlfriend Sommer to accept a marriage proposal before they have sex.
Rory comes from a line of hot blooded sexy males that have the town and its female population talking! He is no different.. However he wants to break the reputation which is proving hard to do.
Sommer is a stunner, simply beautiful with the personality to match her looks she is more of a fly by the seat of your pants type of girl and though she loves Rory with all her heart she can't stop doubting them.
Both of these characters are products of there environment.. Sommer doesn't want to end up like her parents, while Rory doesn't want to be yet another McLemore with a Jaded reputation.
I loved this couple they are awesome together despite their issues. Rory was a fierce protector of Sommer and vice versa I enjoyed the country life, the humor, the togetherness of the McLemore family. I can not wait to read the next book and find out more about this family and the town they live in.
It's rare when a man, a very sexy man, wants to wait to have sex until he's married but that's just what Rory wants to do. Sommer knows that Rory is the one for her but she wants him...in every way. Waiting for marriage isn't going to work for her. So they start doing everything except have actual sex and its HOT! Both Sommer and Rory are strong minded and butt heads a lot but they're made for each other.
The sparks coming from these pages are amazing! The fact that Andrea Smith can write another book about sexy relationships, sexy bad boys and sexy SEX and still keeps me wanting more is freakin awesome! Whenever I'm in the mood to escape into a great book I can always count on Ms. Smith to do it!
A gifted copy was provided by the author for an honest review.
What to say about this book: it's different. The good kind of different. I love those special books when author's skip the meeting of the two lovers and it shows them trying to deal with a real world issue that's about to put them in the ringer. It's not always about the lovey dovey hearts and flowers but the ever after where the hero and heroine have to coexists day to day with each other.
Sommer Kincaid has been in love with her boyfriend, Rory McLemore, for as long as she can remember, but now they're both at a stalemate: she wants to lose hers and his Vcard, but he wants her to marry him first. Talk about a dance that is never going to end. Som is ready to play dirty, but Rory doesn't want her to end up being just another product of McLemore shame gone wrong, so he wants a ring on his girl's finger and he's ready to do just about anything for it.
Overall, I freaking loved Sommer. Finally an author makes a tattoo artist who doesn't have any tattoos (except one small one)!! It helps me connect way more than I would have if Sommer had been someone so not me. When you think about it, these two are just babies compared to all the other hitched couples in their lives, so this is their chance at growing up. I'm giving this book 4 STARS out of 5 STARS.

I really loved this book! I was so excited when I got it. Thank you Susan Arden! This is book 6 I hadn't read the other books in this series, and I definitely will soon, but it stood on its own pretty easily. If I had to describe this book in one word it would be "Anticipation", thankfully I'm not restricted to only one word so I can tell you in many: this book was the epitome of anticipation and foreplay. Most times when an author teases me with the idea of an incredible sex scene, I start to get antsy and want to skip to the end but so much was going on I didn't want to miss a bit. Oh my gosh Susan Arden knows how to write a steamy character, I fell Head over Heels in love with Rory! I'm actually going to reread this book because I need more of him. A spunky sassy Tattoo Artist and Bad-ass Cowboy! Wheww that is one well mixed recipe for HOT! Most times I wanted to smack Sommer up the head, I mean who tells No to the man of their dreams! Where is the reasoning in that! It's Rory who has his head on straight in this relationship and when does that ever happen! Rory is the very impossible to believe "perfect guy", I attached to him immediately! The author made me believe in the great artistic soul of Sommer, I want so badly for her to succeed and I also wanted illustrations for her tattoo's but I guess I'll have to be satisfied with my imagination. I loved this book and can't wait for more!
I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
Unfortunately this book fell a little short for me. The synopsis of the book sounded really good, but unfortunately I had a hard time getting into the book.
Rory and Sommer have been together since high school and Rory wants them to wait until they are married to have sex. When they finally start to explore each other in different ways other then sex, things get really steamy and sexy, which I really enjoyed. They had very strong sexual connection. I liked the sexual connection between them but I also wanted to feel the emotional connection which I did not get.
Rory was super sweet, respectful and a protector and wants nothing more then to break away from the stigma the brothers have put on there name. There are not many guys out there that would hold out for marriage like he did. He was so protective of Sommer is was really sweet he would do anything for her and wanted nothing more then to marry her.
I was not a fan of how the book ended. Even though I was not as into the book as I wanted to be, I wanted more of an ending. It left so much of the storey open.
Overall the book was ok, this is the first book that I have read in the series, it did get me a little interested in the brothers stories especially Stephen's.

The synopsis for this book caught my attention. This story is about the relationship of a cowboy and a tattoo artist. Sounds like complete opposites right? Did the relationship still make sense? Yes and no.
What I liked about this book: Rory I absolutely loved Rory. His character was refreshing. Having just read (yet another) book about a man-whore, I was so happy to stumble upon a male virgin. He may have been a virgin, but he still had most of the qualities I love. He was strong, honest, protective, confident, possessive and treated his lady right. To break out of the mold his older brothers have set, he doesn't want to run around sowing his wild oats before settling down. He only wants Sommer....and he wants to wait until they get married to have sex. Even though they don't technically have sex, the scenes were pretty damn steamy.
What I didn't like about the book: I wasn't a huge fan of Sommer's character. The story was told in the third person POV. I found it difficult to follow along. The plot was a bit far fetched and I had a tough time really getting into the story.
I skip a lot because I lose patience! After reading few chapters, I want to yell at the hero and heroine, "when are you going to have sex?" It's NOT like I always pick books with many spices, several of my favorites have no sex scenes at all, but this book gives me the impression that the couple's main problem is sex. From the beginning of the story, the struggle between Sommer and Rory is to have sex or not. Can you believe they are together over 4 years but the hero, Rory, refuses to have sex with Sommer before marriage! Of course nobody in town would believe Sommer is still a virgin because Rory is the super hot cowboy and his brothers were all manwhore before marriage. Sommer can wait no more so she keeps pushing Rory . . . but their struggle last too many pages that force me to SKIP A LOT! So, if you are as impatient as me, you have to reconsider before buying this book.

DNF 56%. I will flat out admit I have dragged my feet to read this one. The premise seemed a bit "Yawn" to me. So I decided to put on my big girl panties and give it a go. Well on the affirmative it wasn't the aforementioned "Yawn", it was more like "Why exactly am I reading this?"! I have enjoyed the prior stories in this series but I found Sommer the /h to be that girl you want to punch in the face. Yup, I said it. How many times can one girl have inappropriate interactions with men before the sense of self preservation you are born with kick in? After the plot line shifted to bets and debts to be paid with the local lone shark, I am done.
Disappointed. This could have been a great book with a great plot but it felt rushed in places and there were way too many mistakes in it. I liked reading from each of the main characters viewpoints but I wouldn't recommend.
This story is about Rory McLemore who is the youngest of the McLemore boys. He is determined to be different from the other men in his family because unlike them who were players who had their fun and then later settled down, he has only ever had eyes for one woman. Sommer and Rory have been together since they were teenagers. After four years of being in a relationship, Sommer wants to take their relationship to the next level, which to her means sex. Rory wants Sommer to be his wife and believes that by waiting he is showing that he is committed to her and escaping the reputation of the men in his family. Sommer comes from a home where she only really had her mother because her father ran out on her mom and started a new family. She very rarely sees her father. Sommer as a result has a hard time seeing herself married because she definitely does not want to end up in the same situation as her mother.
When events happen they make both of them question their beliefs, they begin the process of redefining their relationship. Most of all will two people who have deep feelings and are strongly attracted to one another be able to resist becoming physical and their feelings? Both Sommer and Rory have reached their breaking point. Will one of them give in. Will Sommer be able to break bad boy Rory down or will it be the other way around?
I loved the chemistry between Sommer the sassy spunky tattoo artist and Rory the hot, sweet, and protective cowboy. Rory's struggle to resist going all the way with Sommer made this story interesting. It is not typical in books that I have read for the guy to be the one holding back and the girl more vocal about going further. I did appreciate how since this book is written from the point of view of both characters that you got to see that what the two of them were putting out there was not necessarily what they were always feeling inside. I enjoy when characters have internal conflict because it makes the story more intriguing and makes me eager to find out what they will ultimately decide to do.
I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. When I realized I was on the last page I was a little sad because wanted to read more about the two of them. I did not realize when I was reading this story that it is actually book 6 in a series. This can be read as a standalone though, but after reading this one I am eager to read the other Bad Boy books and get to know the other McLemore men better.
I loved reading Breaking A Bad Boy (Bad Boys Book 6), all about Sommer Kincaid a ink artist and the girlfriend of Rory McLemore the baby of the bunch and a cowboy breeder at the family ranch. Rory has been trying to get Sommer to marry him for the last four years, and she keeps coming up with various excuses, but the bottom line is she wants to make sure they are compatible in bed, as much as they are out. Here lies the problem, Rory is the last of the line of McLemore brothers, and they have a very bad reputation of bedding everything and anything that walks, and Rory wants to stop that thinking and doesn't want to have his girlfriend have that bad rep! So they have a personal pact between them no sex until they are married, well this is making Sommer crazy, and in the end also making Rory crazy. The author has written six books all about each of the brothers & their sister and additional family members will be coming along in the series as it goes forward. The McLemore family is very close knit, all the brothers, live on the family ranch with their significant others and their children, each has their own home and a plot of land and each complement the other in there skills on the ranch. Matt & Stephen run the cattle operation & Bandon & Rory run the equine operation & Miller runs the financial part of the operation. Caroline, Matt's wife is the vet for the entire operation, so everything is kept in the family and run by the family. Of course they have lots of cow-hands and men that work for them, since they have a huge ranch, and each brother has their own crew of men that report to them, so it's a huge operation and they employee a lot of men from the surrounding towns. In this story it's all about Rory & Sommer and the ups & downs of their on again off again relationship! Read this book it will make you laugh, cry, sigh, shake your head, and cum a lot in interesting ways without actually having intercourse! I've enjoyed each and every book in this series and can't wait to read book seven. Give this family a chance, because I garentee you will fall in love and won't stop until you've also read about everybody in this amazing family. Enjoy!
Okay, soooooooo HOT!!! The story line was just okay, there wasn't much conflict and a lot of young indecisiveness but the sex scenes make up for that completely, and the writing was very well done. I like all the characters, Drew intrigued me the most) but I felt like I was walking into their lives without knowing anything about them. I'm not sure if that is because they have been introduced in one of the previous five books, but regardless of this fact Susan Arden made up for it by keeping me interested in what they are doing and not to mention hot a bothered!
My feelings on Sommer are that she is the ultimate woman, she is kind, caring, creative, self reliant and extremely talented. I for the life of me can't figure out why she couldn't deal with waiting for marriage to have sex seeing as she seems to want no one by Rory, and her constantly pressuring him is not very cool. Men can only hold out so long before they give in and it is shocking that Rory lasted as long as he did before even experimenting with Sommer, but I am very impressed.
Rory is the ultimate southern man, he is polite, kind, caring, hard working, protective and respectful. Not to mention he has only ever had eyes for Sommer, and isn't giving up or giving in until their wedding night, provided he can get her to say yes. God I love him and for a man that has no prior experience in the sack, he seems to be a natural born sex god! I absolutely loved this book and now that I have read book six I plan to go back and start at the beginning of the series, especially if the rest of the leading men are this hot!
What I didn't like about this book was the ending, it felt unfinished and left me wondering "what happens next?" and "How does their family react?". I just think that Arden could have ended the story less abruptly, but it did leave me wanting more and ready to read the series and the book after this, so maybe she is on to something.
Breaking A Bad Boy' is another fabulous story in the 'Bad Boys' series. Sommer is a bold, feisty heroine and Rory is such a sexy, principled cowboy. Light the touch paper and stand well back as this dynamite couple battle their way towards happy ever after.
Rory and Sommer's romance is the antithesis of Brandon and Mia's love story, not a collar in sight but there is plenty of scorching heat in this erotic romantic tale.
Rory wants to marry Sommer and won't give them both what they want until she agrees. Despite his edict about no sex before marriage this story about the youngest of the McLemore men and his ink artist girlfriend Sommer is erotic and brimming with sensual tension. Sommer persuades her honourable cowboy to love her every which way he can without compromising his values.
Ivy and Vince are notable secondary characters. Love to see more of their love story in another book.
In a story of rock stars, gangsters and a taste of Hollywood glitz there is danger lurking for Sommer and the town of Annona when organised crime rears its ugly head.
Can the infamous McLemore family loyalty save Rory and Sommer's romantic dream?
A sexy, page turning read and a wonderful addition to the Bad Boys series
This spicy western new adult was a smooth read. Sommer is a hard-working girl. She’s from a divorced family and taking care of her mom who has mental illness, and at the same time working. Her long-time boyfriend helps out, a strong Texan cowboy who loves her. It's not a huge part of the story, but love this portrayal of how they support each other and her mom in this situation. Mental illness is difficult for family members to accept, let alone outsiders. For a twenty-something child to be the one caring for a parent and being the main income earner is a hard to accept when you are young. Yet, Sommer does, with grace.
Rory comes from a big, generous family and it seems everything will be all right for them, even marriage is in the future. The biggest issue they seem to face is waiting for marriage for sex, but their lovemaking while still ‘not doing it’ is hot.
I didn’t think the story presented many twists until a third of the way in when a visiting band and a new guy in town running bets present opportunities for things to go right, and wrong. Rory and Sommer get tangled in outside problems that are realistic. My only complaint, without giving the ending away, is some of the ‘bad-guy’ issues are handled off-site and not directly by the H&H.
I received this ebook in exchange for a honest review. It’s a good read.
I was given a free digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I am a hopeless romatic that loves reading GREAT romance stories. Breaking A Bad Boy by Susan Arden definitely does not disappoint. This book is about a couple that really wants to be together but are waiting until marriage to have sex. Rory won’t have sex with Sommer until they are married (because he respects her soooo much!) and Sommer won’t marry Rory until they’ve had sex. Needless to say that this was an interesting dilemma! The characters were very well written and I loved Rory from the beginning. I really liked reading about how much he loved Sommer and how determined he was to show her he was different from his womanizing brothers. Sommer is a feisty tattoo artist and although I understood her reasoning for not marrying Rory right away I found myself upset with her for not giving in to a guy who was obliviously completely in LOVE with her. Susan Arden did an excellent job incorporating the serious subject of mental illness into this book. It was tastefully done and did not weigh the story down. This was my first read from Susan Arden and I will go back and read the books I have missed from this series!

How have I not read this series before???
The only thing I didn't like was that I read the 6th book first so I wasn't properly acquainted with all those hot McLemore men properly and felt I wasn't quite in the loop. Never fear, this problem was quickly rectified as soon as I finished this book and my kindle is now fully loaded with the other 5 books!
This book was hot! It's such a contrast and a bit refreshing to see the boy holding out on the girl for change, poor Rory that girl was making it incredibly hard (no pun intended) for him though!
Rory was a perfect male lead, who wouldn't want to marry him. He was handsome, sweet, protective and he loved Sommer completely. Sommer, whilst I liked her spunk and independence she did frustrate me at times. I really enjoyed their chemistry and their journey.
The other thing I will say and I did someone else mention it and I have to agree, the ending was just a little abrupt and left me feeling in need of a bit more closure.
Arden has written a great book the kept me hooked and kicking myself that I have not read this series sooner!
I was given this book from the author for an honest review.
4.75 stars
Another great story from Susan Arden. I love the detailing of the characters emotional and physical feelings. The book was dual point of view, between Rory and Sommer. Their story didn't have much of a BDSM theme, but there was the alpha-male personality with Rory. I really liked Sommer's character. She wasn't the heroine that was needy or needed to be taken care, she was the one that wanted to stand on her own two feet, trying to make a name for herself with her artistry and clothing business. When she needed Rory, Rory was there to protect, console and defend. The chemistry between them was great too.
Can't wait to read the rest of the story of the McLemore brothers!
This was my first book by Susan Arden but i't wont be my last!!!
Rory was a breath of fresh air. It's not common for the guy to want to wait until marriage to have sex but that is exactly what Rory wants with Sommer his girlfriend for several years. Sommer keeps trying to convince Rory to forget about waiting but this cowboy is holding to his convictions.
Although this was the sixth book in the series and the first one that I read I didn't have any problems with following the characters. I will be going back and reading the entire series because this book was just that good!
***i received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review ***
This is the first book that I have read by Susan Arden and I can say that this won't be the last. I loved the story of Rory and Sommer and all of the things that she tried to do to get Rory to change how he felt about things. Of course this wouldn't be a good story without drama and that was most definitely in this book but it was not overwhelming. The one question that was on my mind while I was reading this was is Sommer ever going to break Rory and I can't say because that will give it away, now I have to go and read the rest of the books in this series because I wanna see how the other brothers turned out
I really loved Rory. What a gorgeous sweet bad boy. And Sommer is pretty feisty. This is always a fun combination. I loved this book so much I've gone and purchased all the others in the series and the Rule Breakers series. This is a new favorite author t hour for me. Susan Arden develops the characters well. And I've even met Rory's brothers in this book and you get a good fell for what they are like (even though I have started by reading these books out of order). There are several kinds of slimy bad guys, betraying family and friends, loyal family and friends and steadfast love - all parts of a great fun read.
Excellent read. Had everything I like Passion, some humor, a little suspense and a whole lot of cowboy. I loved how these two had been together for so long and that he wanted to wait for her to be ready to settle down. I loved how she kept driving him crazy by trying to get him to consummate their relationship even though he told her not until she was ready to marry him. i love the McLemores and their stories. When they finally consummated Oh man, the passion and the love,it was beautiful. I can't wait to read the next one.
Susan Arden is a new author for me. I started out reading Collared by a Cowboy and was hooked. I had to find the other Maclemore's and finish the whole series.
Breaking A Bad Boy is about Rory & Sommer. Rory is (twin) the youngest of the family and has been in love with Sommer for years. He wants to marry her and she had rather "play" than get married. There is a lot of lovin' and a lot of strong will romance going on here. I love how the family always comes through for each other. If you love cowboys & cowgirls, try this series out!
Really enjoyed this book. The characters are so strong in their beliefs. They make you hope everything works out for them. Will be reading more from this author.
