As a fan of spy thriller movies/TV shows, I’m starting to read more spy thriller novels. Spy Notes is the best I’ve read in the genre so far. I was immediately immersed in the story - each chapter ending on a cliffhanger while building tension and suspense. I was surprised by the ending. I loved how Johnny’s alluring presence and personality traits prepare her to be a secret agent. And I was delighted on how the various countries Johnny travels to are described - like you are traveling with her. I also enjoyed the behind-the-scenes access on what it’s like being a publicist for a famous musician. I hope Spy Notes becomes a book series as I want to read more of Johnny’s stories as she grows from an amateur to a professional spy.

She is a musical agent helping a band with their tour and when not doing that she is at home with her family at Christmas. An undercover detective is found dead and she tries to solve the crime. It will not be easy for her so see if she can solve the crime

If you like who-dun-it type of mysteries, you will love this book. Barbados is a relaxing place for Johnny but when her friend needs help, she jumps in with both feet. As she travels the world for her job, following leads is easy enough, provided she doesn't trust the wrong person.
