Escaping the chaos of my past was supposed to be simple. A fresh start in a secluded mountain town. No noise. No drama. No danger.
But Silverpine Ridge has its own secrets— Shadows that move when no one’s looking, Howls that echo through the trees, And eyes I can feel on me, even when I’m alone.
Then there’s Lucas Arden. A man who walks through the woods like he owns them. Broad shoulders. Storm-gray eyes. A presence that demands attention. He’s danger wrapped in denim and leather— And I can’t seem to stay away. Lucas says he’ll protect me. But his warnings are sharp-edged, His scars too deep, And there’s something wild in him that both draws me in—and makes me want to run.
The truth? The forest isn’t the only thing hiding monsters. And trusting Lucas might be the most dangerous thing I’ve ever done.
Elli moved to Silverpine Ridge for a quiet drama free life. Boy did she get that wrong. Lucas is the first person she meets, he has big secrets and a pack to protect. The last thing he needs is Elli moving on to his mountain. This is a quick read with a strong plot and characters.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I believe this book has a lot of potential. However, the book lacked important context to the plot line. It felt very rushed and it was hard to believe in the characters resulting in more smut than plot.
