Lotte

I think I could love him. The NHL beckons, so I know I’m going to lose him, and somehow knowing that makes a secret fling with Noah Peterson safe.

Like free falling when you know a net is in place, the reality of an end date gives me permission to let go.
To just … be.

And for someone like me, someone Who has lived their life in the shadows, that is a revelation.

Noah

A new year brings new challenges, new teammates, and new bunnies.

Throughout my college hockey career I’ve chased them as much as I have the puck. But something, someone, has changed the game.

And trust me, despite the blonde hair, blue eyes, and massive … ahh… heart, that someone is no Bunny.
She’s everything.

This college hockey romance was an absolute blast! It was my first book by Bindi Kennedy, and I absolutely loved it. The story was so easy to get into, filled with little tropes that I can never resist. Plus, Bindi’s dry sense of humor had me laughing throughout.

Lotte has Tourette’s, loves her routines, and prefers to keep to herself. Then there’s Noah. 100% golden retriever energy, completely obsessed with her from day one. But the best part? He likes Lotte exactly as she is—no expectations, no desire for her to change.

And the representation here is top-notch. Bindi does an amazing job representing people with disabilities and LGBTQ+ characters. This book showed real community, found family, and love in all the best ways. Everything was so well written, nothing left hanging, just a perfectly wrapped-up story that I devoured.

If you love witty banter, strong friendships, and a college romance with all the feels, this one is a must-read.

This book is absolutely adorable! I fell in love with Lotte and Noah. When Noah's sister, Claire, starts working with Lotte, she immediately takes her under her wing, offering unwavering support. Lotte, who has Tourette's, prefers to keep to herself and fade into the background, but Claire's kindness helps her open up and ultimately leads her to Noah.

Noah is just as supportive as his sister and is completely captivated by Lotte. He helps her see that she can be herself without fear, always standing by her side. While they face challenges in defining their relationship and figuring out their future, their journey is filled with heartwarming and tender moments. This is such a sweet, feel good story, definitely one to add to your TBR!

Thank you, Bindi Kennedy for the ARC

AHHH! Okay, I seriously loved this book so much! It was such an honor to be an ARC reader for Bunny Season and I absolutely cannot wait for the next book in the series! I obviously can’t say much because the book hasn’t been released yet but it is such an amazing read and there was truly no moments where I felt bored or uninterested in the story. It was fun and upbeat and everything I could ever want in a book. Noah and Lottie truly have my heart and I can’t wait for everyone to get to meet them. (did i already pre-order my paperback? yes. will i re-read it? yes.) More reviews of Bunny Season to come because there were so many quotes I wanted to use because it was truly that amazing. So super duper excited for this one to be released to the world and I will 100% recommend anyone to read it.

p.s. Noah Peterson is the standard!!!!

3.5 🌟For someone who’s doesn't usually do cutesy college hockey romance, this book took me by surprise. It was a nice refreshing change to what I usually read, you know, blood, gore, guts flying out everywhere, bodies hacked to pieces... you get it...

We follow Lotte, a girl who’s lived most of her life in the shadows because she suffers from tourettes syndrome, and Noah, a college hockey star who's used to chasing both pucks and girls. What starts as a fling evolves into something deeper, making both characters vulnerable, ultimately transforming the lives of both characters.

At first I was enamoured by how cute and adorable the main characters and the sub characters were, until the story became all about the boy wanting the girl so bad that he would do anything to get her out of her clothes 🙄🙄🙄

Lotte’s journey as a woman with Tourette's could've had more exposure, but whatever struggles she had throughout the story about feeling unloveable added some depth touching on themes like identity, fear of rejection, and living in the moment.

The banter and dialogue were so much fun, and the friendships within the story felt realistic. I was definitely charmed at first by how cute and light everything felt, and the slow burn chemistry between Noah and Lotte kept my interest at bay.

But, this is where the positives end....

The story heats up... FAST... and originally, I came for the cute, quirky, unconventional romance, but it ended up becoming smut, to the point where it felt like the plot was being sidelined just to get the characters undressed, taking away from the emotional aspect that I enjoyed earlier in the story.

This novel will appeal to those who are into hockey, college settings, and emotionally available jocks who fall hard for the girl. It's a very sweet romance, packed with a heavy dose of steam.

For the most part, I really enjoyed how this novel started, but I thought it lacked the balance between good old-fashioned high school romance and smut.

Lotte keeps to the shadows, it's just easier that way. She lives her life by routine, in safety. She knows how her life will play out, safely. That is all thrown out the window when she meets Noah. Hockey jock and team captain, attractive to a level that no one has a right to be and the dynamite that is sure to blow all of Lotte's plans to smithereens. But he'll be off to play NHL, there's an end date in sight, so a secret fling is perfectly safe...right?

I was over the moon to get to read this. I've been a screaming fan of Bindi Kennedy's since I first read Secrets in Love. Before that book, I'd never laughed out loud at a story, and I'm not even exaggerating here. Yet 3% into secrets, I was laughing out loud, not once, but twice. From that moment on, I knew that I'd love every single word that Bindi put to paper, and this one was no exception.

I loved this because it's so sweet, it's funny, it's adorable, it's got some spice, but above everything else? It was real. And it made me feel seen. Lotte has tourettes, she has tics, she has attacks, she has anxiety, she has ADHD, she lives her life with so many things that make her feel less than. She can't see how the conditions that she lives with do not dictate who she is. She tries to hide in the shadows and not be 'weird'. This story brings light to the struggles that people who live with all different kinds of things, can find in life. I do not have tourettes. I'm 98% sure that I have ADHD as I've learnt a lot of things about myself in the last 2 years. I have anxiety. I have struggled with depression in my life. And Lotte? She's me. I see myself in this character who is so perfectly flawed, perfectly human and who is such a wonderful soul. Kennedy tackles these themes with a level of knowledge that one can only have if they've experienced it themselves, and she tackles these themes with tact and grace. And I feel like I've learnt so much more about what others go through, and I feel like I've learnt a lot about myself.

The story is fairly formulaic and that is perfectly fine, and I am here for it. It's a sweet story and I found myself unable to put it down. I also want to point out here, my favourite genre to read is horror. I'm a horror fan through and through, and this book, this was my first five star read of the year. While I was pretty sure I knew what was going to happen with different parts of this story, it still managed to surprise me which is fantastic. I loved riding the rollercoaster that is Lotte and Noah. Getting to watch their relationship evolve as well as the relationships fostered with Claire - Noah's sister - and Claire's wife. One thing that I really loved about this story is that Noah didn't try to fix, change or "save" Lotte. She didn't need to be fixed, or changed, or saved. She was more than enough as she was, she just had to realise this for herself, and I feel like Noah helped her do that.

This is a very character driven story, and that's the kind of story that I tend to enjoy the most. I found the characters in this absolutely amazing, if you hadn't worked that out already. I actually messaged Bindi as soon as I finished this book because I had to tell her how I felt. And one of the main things that I said was, I saw myself in Lotte so much. Different things that she did, the ways that she would deal with things going wrong. That is me. And I feel like that's why this story touched me so much. In the last 50 pages of this book, I smiled, I laughed, and I cried. I spent the last 50 pages of this book with tears sitting in my eyes because I felt it. I felt everything that Lotte felt. For a book to be able to move me in such a huge way, it's everything. I feel like this book may help people realise that they are perfectly enough as they are. You don't need to hide who you are, you don't need to change who you are. You are enough.

All in all, this was an absolutely wonderful read, and I love that it was my first read of the year, not only that, but it's my first 5 star of the year. If you're in the market for a sweet story with a bit of spice, a story that has good representation, and damn good read, give Bunny Season a go. I'm hanging for the next one.

I did exactly what Lotte did on page 9… I slipped into Bindi’s DMs like a creep to rave about how much I was loving this book!!

My exact words “It’s so raw and emotional! I was not ready to be rocked by a sports romance book so early in the year haha”

That haha was definitely an attempt at covering-up-my-tears haha #awkward

I loved the vulnerability in Lotte’s character. She had been dealt such a hard hand but she handled herself with grace and allowed herself the chance to fall and be caught. The Tourette’s Syndrome was a first for me - I haven’t seen it represented in books before but I do know a person with Tourette’s who suffers from similar tics and I thought it was really handled with sensitivity and care for those living in Tourette’s.
My heart cracked into a billion pieces when Noah said it was the least interesting thing about Lotte. Have I said I love Noah yet?!

Noah’s golden retriever personality balanced the scales beautifully and his instant adoration for Lotte had me ugly cry yelling at my poor husband “would you pick hockey over ME?!” Much to his confusion having never even held a hockey stick in his life. But I digress.

I love the humour and sarcasm that is woven through this book, it brings much needed levity to the heavy topics and giggles and feet kicks in the sweet spots!

I fell in love with Bindi’s characters in trouble in love and recently just purchased the entire west village collection knowing I’ll love each and everyone in the series and I cannot.. again ugly cry yelling CANNOT wait for the next book in the Green Line Ice series.

10/10 Bindi is an author worth following and reading for love, laughter and did I mention spice? All of my love languages in the pages of a book!

“And as a hockey player, I am contractually obliged to be into hot. It’s basically the law.”

“But she is just a friend though. Just a friend. Definitely a friend deep in the friend zone.”

“We are talking full heart stopping, panty dropping dimpleage.”

“Fuck, with the way he’s drinking me in I can almost taste it.”

“You’re so deep under my skin I don’t know where I end and you begin.”

“Something twitches in my chest and it ain’t the Tourette’s.”

“He isn’t fixing me, he’s holding my hand as I heal myself.”

“I’ve been like this for hours, Lotte. I want you so bad my teeth hurt.”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My first read of 2026 annnd not just my first book by Bindi Kennedy, but my first hockey romance read *mic drop*, hah! But I can totally understand why this sub genre is so loved, I'm honestly 100% prepared to make hockey romances part of my personality now! I freaking ADORED this book, my goodness! Firstly, I loved Lotte’s character right from the get go, I really appreciated the insight into her tourettes’ syndrome, I felt like Kennedy portrayed Lotte as such a genuine, kind hearted soul who had been at it alone for so long, for a litany of sad reasons, and I just wanted to hug her! So I was so happy when Claire took her under her wing, loved Claire's character and how she just wanted to make Lotte smile, their friendship was everything, and it was so great to see Lotte slowly open up and let the idea of friends and maybe more, into her life.

I say, maybe more, because, enter Noah, ice hockey team captain and Claire's brother, and oh, my gosh. What literal golden retriever energy he had! He fell hard and fast for Lotte and I was here for it! I kid you not, he fell faster than a puck drop! (Sorry, not sorry 🤣🏒). Yet, Noah is ‘destined’ for Florida, for the NHL, which keeps the already simmering tension running deliciously rampant – let alone Noah's friend and teammate, Brady, and a certain Coach's Daughter and an opposing team player, Troye, getting themselves into all sorts of delicious drama!

Speaking of Quinn, I loved her friendship with Lotte, and am definitely looking forward to reading “Kitty Season”, which I know continues her story with her boys! But my gossshhh, Noah and Lotte were everything in “Bunny Season”, I could not get enough of these two characters, the push and pull, the delicacy between the two, the fact that both characters brought out so much in one another, both falling completely and not wanting the other to change and the SPICE, my goodness, the spice!! honestly, 100% understand the hockey romance novel hype, and as a hockey fan irl, it did not take much to convert me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

But our relationship is as fragile as Lotte is beautiful.

"You're mine. I'm yours. Exclusively." I'm speechless. Noah is not. "You can pretend all you like to be insulted, but I see the way you're practically panting."
"Am not." "Are too." Dammit, I am.

"We thought we'd do a mini one tonight as an apology for the kerfuffle I caused."
"I didn't think it was possible for you to be any sexier, then you go and say the word kerfuffle with a straight face and prove me wrong."

Lotte likes and hates being all alone after her grandmother passed away 5 years ago. She pretends to enjoy being unnoticed, unseen, and unloved. But all of that changes when her new colleague at her part-time job throws her a surprise birthday party. And who else helped to organize this surprise party? Boy wonder, Captain of the college hockey team extraordinaire, Noah.

This was a very sweet hockey romance. I loved the chronic/mental health rep and also how Noah researched it for himself to help Lotte however he could. I loved their chemistry and their banter. It was fast-paced, almost a little insta-love, so if you like that sort of thing, definitely check this out. I'd say mild plus on the spice, but that's very subjective, but it did feel like a natural progression of the story.
Recommend if you like hockey, skating, banter, insta-attraction, cuteness overload, no owd ♡

I attended a book launch last year for this one and I'm ashamed to say it took me almost a year to pull it off my shelf! I'm so glad I did, it was a very cute contemporary romance.
Both MMC and FMC were great.
One of the siblings in the story is a jerk and was let off with her shitty behaviour too easily in my opinion, which tells me I cared about the characters a bit more than usual.
Loved the representation of Tourette's and ADHD in our FMC, that's not something that I've seen getting explored often in fiction.

My only dislike was a personal ick, and it barely impacted my enjoyment of the book - I think pet names have to make sense in the context of the book, be used rarely so it isn't sickeningly repetitive, and be cute/sexy. Calling your crush/girlfriend 'Little D' (nothing to do with your obvious guesses though) and then 'Little One' wasn't it for me. Fortunately halfway through I was so invested I just started ignoring the MMC (shut up, Noah) when he'd say it and just keep reading.

It turns out, there is a way to accept a literary ick in a book and it's by accepting that in the human world you won't like everything people say either, so a fictional term of endearment I'm not a fan of probably isn't a big deal either and it CAN just be skimmed over.

As a standalone, it was great. The teaser to that upcoming book two though!! Sign. Me. Up.
Bindi is a lovely indie author and deserves all the success!

Where do I even begin…

I was lucky enough to receive an advanced reader copy of this book 🫶🏻
I took my time reading cos I just new from the first sentence I would love every second but once I hit half way I couldn’t help but keep reading and now here I am begging for book 2 to be completed asap!! 🩷

I love the representation of Tourette syndrome as it’s not something I’m super educated on and I really feel like I’ve learned something from this book!

The character development was on point and I am absolutely obsessed with Lotte and Noah’s chemistry! We all need a Noah 😍

There was also the perfect amount of spice 🌶️❤️‍🔥

This is an a must read, especially if you love a hockey romance!

Thank you to Bindi for the ARC

Bunny Season is the first book in Bindi's new Green Line series, and it was an excellent start to this new series.

Noah and Lottie were amazing characters whose development throughout this book was so well written. Lottie is a young woman who has been struggling with her tourette's syndrome and prefers to be in the shadows. Noah is a hockey player who has dreams of making the NHL when he is introduced to Lottie, and friendship begins, and as they get to know each other, Lottie's confidence will grow, and she will embrace new opportunities and form new friendships, but she wil still have some anxious moments,

Spice: 🌶 🌶

I mean, what can I say....it was definitely the title and cover that drew me in first when I saw it on my instagram feed 🤣. The next thing was hearing 'It's Wabbit Season' from Elmer go through my head 🤣🤣.

However, I can say this definitely has nothing to do with a rivals love affair between a rabbit and a bald hunter! It does involve Lotte, our routine loving, Tourettes repping FMC and Noah, our golden retriever hockey player.

This was such an easy read! Absolutely devoured in less than 24 hours and had me laughing from Chapter 1. The banter was brilliant, and I think it was Noah who really made this book. He was such a well written character, from how he adores Lotte for being unapologetically herself and how he researches her disability to support and care for her. I just loved it! Mental health is so relevant in today's society and also my personal life, so seeing Bindi write about with such ease and sensitivity made this book that much greater.

If you want loveable characters, fun banter, and love that makes you swoon, then dive head first into this one.

Thank you, Bindi, for allowing me to read this ARC ❤️ I look forward to reading more in this series 😍.

This was such a cute romcom read! I absolutely loved the banter between Noah and Lotte and all her witty comments. Had me actually LOL’ing!

The book follows Lotte who has a mental illness and has always remained invisible. No friends or family, until she becomes friends with the new receptionist. Who then makes introductions, and who better than with the captain of the Hockey team 🥵 with his own reputation during bunny season, Noah’s world changes when he meets the very clever Lotte.

I could definitely read this book again. And will recommend it. I cannot wait for the 2nd book ❤️‍🔥

I really enjoyed this hockey college romance.
I loved that the main character was a neurodiverse and felt there was lots of layers to the story. Lotte and Noah were really cute and I love how understanding he was the whole time.
I'm excited to read the next one as this had lots of teasers leading into it and now I obviously need to know.

Bunny Season is a quick, flirty read with just the right mix of college hockey chaos and emotional softness. Noah is completely gone for Lotte from the start—supportive, obsessed, and never trying to change her, just showing up in all the quiet ways that matter. Their connection builds slowly, with tension and tenderness woven into every scene, and I loved watching Lotte step into the spotlight while Noah made it clear she was the only one he saw. Short, sweet, and full of heart.

⭐️⭐️
I wanted to like this. The story idea was good, the inclusion of Tourette’s was interesting, and Noah was the typical golden retriever guy. However, it felt like the book was trying to be overly quirky. There was just too many things that bothered.

There’s a descriptive blowjob scene with a random girl and Noah is trying to recall the girls name throughout the whole thing (the MCs weren’t together but I prefer my books to not have detailed sexual encounters with random people).

There’s bad grammar and spelling mistakes, like “an I roll” when it’s supposed to say eye roll, “that’s pretty” and I’m pretty sure is supposed to say petty in its context.

I couldn’t stand Claire and the ending didn’t feel like a redemption for her at all. And Quinn was ok but she gave Lotte a “tea” that was really alcohol and that is just not cool to me.

Lotte pick off the seeds on her burger bun and tossed them onto her floor?! Why would you do that… She also apparently has been ice skating for a pretty long time but didn’t know what a Zamboni was? Also she’s gotta be the worst employee ever it sounds like she never shows up and when she does her friend end up behind the food counter just being an annoyance.

This could’ve been a really cute read but these characters were just doing too much I couldn’t truly like any character 100%.

Add on that I just remembered the nickname “Little D” for Lotte was terrible.

Honestly, this was a cute hockey romance book to read. I absolutely loved the representation of Tourette's and ADHD from Charlotte/Lotte. I also loved how she and Noah made each other better and helped them become better people. I was pleasantly surprised by Noah, as even when he was a player and manwhore, he was still a great guy and I loved how respectful he was of women.

Don't even get me started on everything he did for her. From getting her that job at her favourite cafe to taking her to all her doctor appointments, to even taking out books to research Tourette's, he was honestly such a gem of a man. He was such a great MMC and truly a golden retriever boyfriend. He definitely fell first and he fell pretty hard, becoming celibate soon after meeting Lotte.

I loved seeing the friendship between Lotte and Quinn. It made my hear warm up quite a bit and it was so refreshing for me to see a real strong friendship between two female characters. I also loved how the climax of the book wasn't as dramatic or absurd, that the eventual conflict of their story was actually super realistic and reasonable. Lotte has severe abandonment issues, on top of dealing with the fact that he dad didn't even want her, her story just made me tear up. Lotte is so strong for having managed thus far considering the loss of her mom and grandma, as well as her condition.

I loved especially that despite Noah being a reformed manwhore, there was no OWD drama whatsoever in this book. Besides the blowjob scene in the bathroom in the early chapters back when he was still single and more intrigued by Lotte, Noah was such a boy obsessed and was truly protective about Lotte, her happiness his priority. Though this book wasn't anything too crazy or new, it was a decent read and it did a great job of showing development, growth, and love between Noah and Lotte, and I loved the representation of Tourette's in this book.

Oh my gosh, this book was so so great! Noah and Lotte are absolutely adorable and oh-so-sweet to each other. I loved seeing them together. Their quick and close bond was so clear and beautiful to see. Their flirting definitely made me blush a few times.

I have to compliment Bindi on how truly realistic her dialogue felt. The whole time it felt like I was witnessing real conversations between dynamic and varied individuals. All of the hockey chirps and adorable moments helped a lot too.

This one made me laugh out loud so many times. It was funny from the first page. I was constantly telling my partner about the funny moments because I couldn't keep my amusement to myself.

There were a lot of fun and clever references throughout the book. It was like a fun easter egg hunt while reading.

There was the perfect blend of including hockey in an informed and purposeful way without including it too much for anyone who may not know as much about the sport. The reader can learn along with Lotte about the fun involved in the hockey world.

This book does contain a number of spicy scenes. If spice is not your thing, I do not recommend this book. That said, the spicy scenes truly contributed to the plot and character development. More than I've ever seen in a book before. Their sensuality and care towards each other during intimate moments felt legitimate.

This wholeheartedly deserves my first 5-star of the year, even though I was in a slump while reading it so it took me ages to finish, I adored every moment! If you love romances that will make you blush and laugh, this is the perfect book for you.

I received this book as part of Bindi's team. My review is honest and voluntary.

Lotte and Noah are goals... banter goals, awkward moment goals, sex in public places goals, actual ice hockey goals - but most importantly these two characters leap off the page, smack you in the face until you can't help but laugh and then burrow into your heart. Bindi has written the hell out of these two...okay, the whole supporting cast aswell.

Lotte (Charlotte) just wants to disappear, hide away and live her life in seclusion where no one can hurt, tease or perceive her as she navigates college, loneliness and her tourettes. What she wasn't expecting was Claire, a new coworker who thrives on a human project, and guess what - Lotte is the perfect project... oh, and to add to this dynamic, Claire has a younger brother. A brother who is captain of the Ice Hockey team, who's gorgeous, has a carousel of puck bunnies at his disposal, drafted into the NHL the following year and completely not for her.

But no one told Noah that, and from the first moment his eyes land on Lotte, he's a goner.

What follows is a gorgeous, heart warming story of two unlikely people falling head over heels for each other while having to navigate not only their own differences, but of the people around them. It's not all happy times with rainbows and kittens, and some scenes squeezed my heart in pain for what Lotte and Noah have both been through in their lives.
I honestly just love how Bindi wrote their banter, and Lotte's POV is hilarious and too relatable. I dare you not to fall in love with this book.

If you adore:

- he falls first
- college ice hockey
- friends with benefits
- spice
- mental health rep
- banter
- excellent older pop culture references
- coffee addicts

Then put this one on your tbr right now!

firstly i would like to thank bindi kennedy for providing me with an arc of this book to read and review!

i immediately fell in love with this book! it’s so hard not to when there’s so much great character representation. each character was written so well, and their diversity didn’t seem forced, but instead very natural and realistic. i loved getting to know each character more and more, and i fell in love with them all! the relationships that lotte is able to build not only with noah, but claire and quinn and others is so special. i absolutely loved watching her come alive and noah looking after her amazingly!

it was impossible to put this book down because the plot stayed interesting with some twists and turns thrown in to keep us on our toes! this book had me in a state of shock, laughing and giggling, kicking my feet like a giddy idiot, and crying and sobbing. i was sucked right into the storyline and taken for the best ride. however i do feel like the happy ending was tied up a bit too nicely for me. i would’ve preferred for there to be more to work through in the background of future books in this series, and to watch lotte and noah get their ultimate happy ending after a bit more time had passed.

overall, i really enjoyed this book and found it to be such an easy sports romance read! i cannot wait to read the published version and see how the edits make this story more polished and even better! and i can’t wait to keep reading this series!

4.5 stars - I am so incredibly grateful to have received an advanced copy of Bunny Season from the author! 🫶

Bunny Season is such a cute read and I loved everything about it! 💕 I read the entire story in one sitting and couldn’t put the book down until I finished the whole thing! 🥰 This is my first book I have read from Bindi Kennedy and I definitely plan on reading her other books because I loved this so much. I think it is incredible that this story features disability and mental health rep! ❤️ Lotte has Tourette Syndrome and this book does a wonderful job of showing her feelings and struggles with having this diagnosis. She is super shy and has spent her life hiding behind the shadows and is honestly so sweet and kind. Noah is simply amazing! 🥹 He accepts Lotte for exactly how she is and truly is the absolute best. Lotte and Noah’s chemistry is amazing and is simply *chef’s kiss* 👩‍🍳💋 I love the side characters and seriously can’t wait for the second book in the series. If you love he falls first, chronic and mental health rep, first love, hockey romance, rom-com, secret romance, friends to lovers, college romance, touch her and ☠️, and a story that will make you smile so hard then this is a must-read! 🫶

Wow, what a read this was! I loved this story so much, and I was so sad to let them go as I finished it. I couldn't stop laughing – it was hilarious! And seeing how diverse the characters were was amazing too.

I learned so much about Tourette's while reading this book. It's not just about tics; it's so much more than that, and the author beautifully explained it.

Now, there's no way for me to express how much I love Lotte. And how sad I was for her. Nobody deserves to be alone, especially not someone like Lotte. I love how Claire took charge and made sure to let her know she deserved to be loved, and that all the pink in the world wasn't enough. (Although she kind of messed up at the end. 😉)

Noah was such a puppy! But can we talk about how hot they were? I really didn't expect that, but it was amazing to have that duality.

Can't wait for book 2! Bindi, your story was so beautiful, and I can't wait to read more books from you.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Bindi did an absolutely incredible job with this book. Charlotte (or Lotte) is such a thought out and well developed character, and Bindi's writing is so incredibly thoughtful when developing a character with Tourette's and is a bit neurospicy 😆 What I particularly loved, is that was the least interesting thing about her and that she was an incredible lovable and sassy character by her own merit. Noah even says so too

One of my favourite lines from Lotte were:

'I slip into the office like a creep into a hot blondes DM's'

The sassy one liners from her were incredible! Especially when talking about hair cuts.

Noah 🥵 jeepers where to start with Noah. He did come off as a bit of a sleeze initially, but I may have been influenced by his sister Claire 😆
But he was such a headstrong, understanding and empathetic character it was so hard not to like him.

The whole story never lost focus with me, it was cute and intriguing, and also tugged at the heart strings.

From trying to bring out the best in people together, and not but judging and getting in each other's way, and building a community when you had none.

Congratulations Bindi! I cannot wait to have a copy in my hands.

I hope we might be getting more books in this series, especially with Brady 💕 he was gorgeous!!

I could not put this book down! It was sweet, funny, spicy, and had some heart breaking sad moments. Oh, and it was a hockey romance! I also love that it represented so many different topics: mental health, disability, LQBTQ community, and more.

Lotte is used to being not seen and staying in the background, hidden. She finds it easier to deal with her ticks this way, but everything changes when the new girl, Claire, befriends her. I love how strong Lotte is, despite what everyone else may think around her. She has been through a lot, but she is a strong FMC. She is also very sassy and bratty, loved every second of her banter.

Noah is the sexy and popular hockey player destined for the NHL. He is always moving from one puck bunny to the next, nothing ever really mattering enough to have them stick around. Everything changes when he meets a shy and gorgeous woman his sister works with.

The chemistry and banter between Noah and Lotte was amazing. He has a protective side for her and just wants to do anything he can for her. He ends up being a big golden retriever. Lotte doesn’t want to fall too deep because she feels like everyone leaves. My heart broke for her. No the plot twists, had me gasping NO a couple times.

“If only she knew I’d happily be the one to stay forever.”

Hockey girlies, this one is for you!!! If you’re looking for a sweet (but spicy) college hockey romance, I highly recommend reading Bunny Season by Bindi Kennedy. While this story focuses on the romantic relationship between Lotte and Noah, it also includes found family and disability representation.

Lotte is such an interesting character. She was diagnosed with Tourette’s syndrome at a young age and has lived most of her life alone. She tends to hide in the shadows and never changes her routine. Throughout the book, she has huge character development, where she becomes more confident and comfortable within herself. Noah is the absolute sweetest and also a very interesting character!!! He immediately falls for Lotte and does everything he can to get to know her.

Noah and Lotte together are the cutest. Their relationship is not the easiest and it takes time for them to figure things out. However, their friendship is absolutely beautiful and truly makes their relationship stronger. I loved the side characters and can’t wait to read the next book!

I freaking loved this book. Yeah, yeah, I know - pink cover, cutesy title, not that you'd expect from me, but I don’t care. It was everything!!

Lotte, the FMC, is just so easy to love. An anxious little bean with Tourette’s who’s spent her life sitting on the sidelines. And then along comes Noah, or more accurately, his sister, who strong-arms her way into Lotte’s life and drags him along for the ride. Suddenly, she’s got this ridiculously sweet, ridiculously hot hockey player looking at her like she’s the only person in the world. And the best part is, he doesn’t put her on a pedestal or treat her like she’s fragile. He sees her, fully, exactly as she is. But let’s not give him too much credit. He’s still a classic bloke who cannot shut up about her boobs.

The banter is epic! The chemistry is perfection, and the spice? OOooooh girl! Lotte is a DARK HORSE and I loved it! The representation was so well done, the humour was peak Aussie sarcasm, and it had the perfect blend of heart and heat. 10/5 stars.

Also - kudos to Bindi's daughter who drew this incredible cover! What a talented family <3

First of all, I cannot believe I haven't read any other books with mental health and disability rep. I am quite disappointed in myself for that so I need all of the recs. Please and thanks 🙏🏼

Now that is out of the way, this book was so sweet, so adorable, quite funny and honestly had my arms covered in goosebumps at certain parts.

This is a very character driven story which I loved. Lotte and Noah are a bit of a roller-coaster but watching their relationship evolve was everything.

But Brady, gah! Brady has my heart. It may be because he is aussie but come on, he is a lovable side character. The scenes between he and Noah where he needs to explain things he says to Noah, are everything!

The Fairy Floss scene... IYKYK.

Bindi, thank you so much for sending me the arc of Bunny Season. I had a great time reading it.

Bunny Season is available in paperback and on KU from February 13th.
