Claire Briscoe has her life down to a hard work, structure, and zero distractions. She just got promoted at her law firm, and a cross-country move is calling her name. Love? Spontaneity? They can both sit all the way down—Claire’s got goals.
But a last-minute seat mix-up on a Valentine’s red-eye throws her plans off track. Enter Deion a fine, smooth-talking celebrity chef in a smedium shirt who somehow manages to irritate and intrigue her at the same time. With his quick comebacks, pop culture references, and sly digs at her “power bob,” Deion has Claire laughing when she least expects it—and thinking about him long after the plane lands.
Seven hours of banter, chemistry, and a few sparks were definitely not in Claire’s plan. But sometimes, the best connections happen when you’re not looking for them.
Claire is a focused workaholic attorney 💼 and Deion is a fun spirited celebrity chef 👨🏾🍳. They seem to be polar opposites, but on a plane ride ✈️ to LA they find out they have much more in common than they think. A connection is built in an aisle 💺and window seat 🪟.
Deion sets out to show her how fun and intimate Valentine's Day can be💕❤️. Above all he helps her see that it is okay to let go and live, and I loved that for them.
I wanted just a little more in the ending, maybe a love confession or even OD on the Valentine's stuff she found cliche.
I still enjoyed this read and would read more about Claire and Deion.
This was a cute quick read. I love the chemistry between Claire and Deion and I would love to see their love story continue to evolve. This was a perfect Valentine story and I can’t wait for more
This was a very quick read, less than 100 pages but I loved it. I had a very clear picture of who Claire and Deion were and I felt their connection. It was a great way to start off the month of love.
Wow! What a cute, and fun read. This is a new author to me, and I was thoroughly impressed by how I received such a full story in 64 pages. Claire taking a red eye to L.A. to begin her new life and is annoyed when someone is sitting in her seat on the plane. She walks up to this man and tells him he is in her seat. Low and behold she got it wrong and booked the wrong seat. Let the fun begin.
Deion is fine, funny, and full of life. He is excited when he sees his beautiful seatmate. However, he can tell that she is suit, and he can’t wait to loosen her up a bit. At first Claire is not willing to talk to Deion as she is focused on her reason for the trip and getting some rest. But he easily breaks her down with his jokes and easy-going personality. He easily reads her by telling her that she is stuffy, focused, only thinks about work, and does not allow herself to enjoy life. Claire is annoyed by how he can quickly see through her but also intrigued. Claire thinks the worst of Deion, but finds that he is layered, and she "thinks" she may like him a bit.
These two made a connection on that flight that could not easily be forgotten. Would love to see more of them in the future. Really enjoyed this! 👍🏾👍🏾
Miss Nina is always gonna give us a good read. My only complaint is I wish it was longer 😭😭 a very short quick read. Claire and Deion are on the same read eye flight to LA when they meet. As much as Claire was quick to write Deion off, I loved how fast they connected during their flight. Deion was funny everytime he came up with a new nickname for Claire 😂😂 It was cute to see the two open up to one another like they’ve known each other longer. Shows they felt safe and comfortable around one another. Even though Claire was solely focused on work, the invisible connection she and Deion shared was stronger. I was happy their story continued even after the plane landed because I didn’t want their story to end just yet. Again a very short story but loved the epilogue gave us a time jump. This novella was done right in the sense of giving us what we needed without loose ends. While I could’ve read 100 more pages of the two it was done perfectly since it was fast pace.
First, the games played on the airplane were completely unrealistic. As someone who flies often, I couldn’t imagine anything worse.
Secondly, I couldn’t stand the MMC Deion. He was incredibly cocky for a man that makes peach cobbler for a living 🤣😭 Also, why couldn’t he refer to the FMC by her name instead of some dumb nickname? He barely even knew her! It was cute the first time he said it, but by the 10th time it got old. I rolled my eyes every time he called her “Claire in Heels” and am now writing this review with my eyes stuck in the back of my head. Other than those things, it was a cute story and I enjoyed the authors writing style.
Al bacio‼️…still miles high on a chef’s kiss ☺️😘 . Proves don’t judge a book by the cover ✈️ , it might me "as good as a kiss" 💋 & the flight to tropical HEA 🇧🇧😉‼️Deion & Claire were certifiably that Huxtable relatable, cute & funny couple 😄 😍‼️”Aisle Be Yours: A Valentine’s Novella” was a 💕good read & a great start to the month dedicated for everything sweet, sexy, romantic & love 😘.
The focused lawyer and the playful (and persistent) chef; I dug it. I liked how Claire ultimately made the first move and slowly let down her guard for Deion. And he was respectful of her possible hesitancies. I liked them together. :)
I’ve been on to many flights to count & never experience that but definitely knows it happens. This was a real romantic Valentine’s Day book that I enjoyed. Deion & Clare was just what each other needed! ❤️💺
This was perfect. You know how you can feel the tension building…and then the moment everything switches you start fall into it? That was this story. I loved everything about it! Yes it was short…but it was complete!
This was such a cute and well written novella 😭 . It made my heart happy truly. If you need just a quick read and a quick pick me up I highly recommend!! For reference this was my first read after i finished Parable of the Sower, and it definitely got my spirits back up LOL. (That book was amazing too, just heavy!)

My thoughts: This did not affect the rating at all; it's just something I have to get off my chest because I'm tired of seeing it. It said in the title that this was a novella, so I was extremely disappointed to discover it was 60 pages. Only 55 of them for the story. That is not a novella; that is not even a novelette; that is a short story. I know novella sounds prettier, but if you aren't gonna give me at least 100 pages, don't call it a novella. Most of her series books are novellas, sooo. Other than that, the story was very cute, spicy, but cute. I enjoyed the characters and their banter. I'm going to read the rest of these "novellas" that are probably just short stories.
Recommend to others: Yes. These characters were cool and to the point.
Memorable Quotes: “This is 15A, right?” I hold up my boarding pass. “You’re in my seat.” He looks up at me with a twinkle in his dark brown eyes, and I’m struck dumb. He tilts his head as if he’s only mildly interested; then, he hits me with a dazzling smile. And even his damn teeth are perfect. This adorable, fine-ass man is about to annoy me through this whole flight. “You sure?” I clench my jaw and tap my boarding pass with my finger. “Positive. I went out of my way to get the aisle seat.” He squints and reads my pass, completely unbothered. “Unfortunately, Claire-in-Heels,” he says, his gaze flicking to my black heels before coming back to meet my eyes. “Your seat is 15A, which starts with A, so it should be the aisle seat, but it’s the window seat.” I look back at my boarding pass and up at the diagram for the seats. Shit, he’s right. I huff and roll my eyes, annoyed with myself for this mistake. “You can sit on my lap if you want.” He pats his thick thighs, and a chill runs through me. My lips threaten to curl upward. Adorable and flirty–noted.
I wasn’t sure if I’d like this book because Deion came on too strong in the beginning. Thankfully he became a lot more charming. He still cracked too many jokes for my liking, but I connected with his caring side. He seemed so ready to take care of Claire. I loved how he helped her to relax and not take life so seriously. I enjoyed how their different demeanors easily coexisted without watering down either side. That made their chemistry feel really special. It was nice to see how things worked out for them both romantically and professionally. This was a feel good read.
Claire mistakenly accused Deion for sitting in her seat on the plane. He rightfully corrects her and this sparks some unnecessary tension between them. Claire being embarrassed, try’s to avoid talking to him but Deion has whole different agenda. After an 8 hour flight of conversations and sharing laughter both parties realise that there is more to their encounter than just sharing a row on the plane
Read to story to find out where this new found friendship leads
Can I have a windowwww seat!? Umm how about an aisle, but actually it’s mine but you can sit in it with me LOL. Imagine being accustomed to being in control but one mix-up on a plane changes everything! The banter between Claire & Deion was authentic and downright cute! Claire tried to fight those uncomfortable feelings but it was just something about Deion that has her intrigued & vice versa w/ Deion… he was drawn instantly to Claire-in-heels. Two people meeting unexpectedly, instantly click and the rest becomes history. This was such a cute, short, insta-love story!
Short and sweet. There was at least three sentences in this novella that were missing a period.
The following are all the thoughts I had while reading this book so it may contains some spoilers:
ch2-“That laugh catches me startles.” Huh??
See it be the little stuff that annoys me. In the epilogue are they in an Uber or driving themselves. First you mention Deion returns his hand to the wheel. Then you say he rounds the Uber on the next page.
At least three times there was a sentence missing a period.
This was a quick, read but don’t think that means it’s not full of story. I enjoyed reading how Claire and Deion meet (incredibly cute), how they agree to meet each other again and watching them get to their HEA. It’s short but the author packs a lot in the sexy sexy time 3aa well written and believable and you can’t help but root for them. I’m now going to look through the authors catalog as she has a number of books that might be just what I need as my next read!
