A heartfelt thank you to @erikawriteswithravens and @bookedwiththeemilys for the #gifted books!
I’m excited to share my thoughts on the first installment of The Lonely Raven Trilogy, and it was absolutely mesmerizing.
This story stands out with its unique premise featuring Fallon, who possesses “second sight.” The story expertly explores her life and the profound effects her abilities have on those around her. While the tale carries poignant themes of sadness, it is beautifully balanced by powerful relationships she develops that offer hope and warmth.
The characters are strikingly realistic, relatable, and captivating. The storyline is a thrilling blend of mystery, magic, and romance, and captured my heart. The sweet romance that blossomed between Fallon and Bret was truly heartwarming, and her instant connection with Bergen, Bret’s daughter, added another layer of charm. I also adored Fallon’s protective dog, Azul, who shows up no matter where Fallon is.
Set in the present yet intricately woven with flashbacks from Fallon and her brother Luca, the story provides essential context for Fallon’s abilities and reveals the complexities of her family's past. While Fallon’s gifts are remarkable, they also place her in perilous situations, especially if they fall into the wrong hands. The gradual unraveling of these mysteries kept me on the edge of my seat.
The ending left me desperately longing for the next installment, The Magic Girl, which was released on November 4, 2025. I can hardly wait!
