Ginger Scott's beautiful writing made Rebel so much more than just a college sports romance. Cameron and Brooklyn went through an emotional journey. That is heartbreaking, life altering and raw. Rebel was packed with sweet, sinful and heart wrecking emotions.
Cameron Hass is a pariah in their elite college and Brooklyn is practically royalty. She went through intense physical and psychological trauma when her friend died in an accident. She is recovering but it is slow. Cameron has always been her friend and he has stepped up. But for her senator father, this association can be problematic. Brooklyn sees behind the mask of class clown but can everyone see Cameron as what he really is?
Oh my heart. This story is filled with emotions upto the brim. Cameron doesn't show his scars to everyone. He prefers to hide behind the smoke of his joints and sarcasm. Everyone thinks he is reckless and careless but he just wants to live and feel something beyond his complex life.But he is in deep for Brooklyn. He knew she may be untouchable but his heart didn't listen to it. Brooklyn is very different from what you expect from a rich politician's daughter. That accident shocked her and she is scrambling to get her pieces together. She feels her heart is at risk from the campus heartbreaker but it's hard to resist his charm and mischievous attitude. She is kind and brave and compassionate. I adore how she always believed in Cam and supported him through everything even if it meant doing her own rebellion.I loved their beautiful friendship. And then the author strikes with her signature angst! They had to fight against the lies, the manipulation, the prejudice and the judgment but they stayed strong through it. Though at times it felt happiness is impossible and my heart was dying a thousand deaths, the ending was so epic and fitting.

The second book in The Boys of Welles series, this is an emotional, YA, friends-to-lovers, forbidden romance with wonderful characters, an engaging, heartfelt story and lots of feels, and I loved it.
Cam was introduced in the last book in the series as the friend and roommate of Theo. He is the fun-loving, pot-smoking daredevil who didn’t seem to take school, or life, seriously. But, of course, there’s much more to him than we knew. His family history is sad and twisted, and he’s doing his best to get through school while dealing with his complicated personal life. And seeing who he truly is and what he has had to deal with, I felt so much for him.
His complete opposite, Brooklyn is a studious and driven perfectionist. Her father is running for senate, and she’s always been the picture-perfect political daughter, with plans to one day follow in his footsteps. But a devastating car accident changed all of that. Brooklyn survived the crash that killed one of her best friends a year earlier, but she’s been left physically scarred, and questioning everything. Now, she’s trying to finish up senior year, and she’s feeling a bit lost and alone, and Cam is there for her.
The relationship between Cam and Brooklyn is gorgeous. They’ve been friends for years, and for all of that time, he has secretly loved her. We get to see the moment where Brooklyn’s feelings begin to change, when Cam offers to help her in her continuing recovery, and she starts to see something new in her old friend. It’s sweet, flirtatious, full of chemistry and all of the excitement and tingles of that first big attraction, and I loved watching everything change for them.
But what is a happy time for the two of them quickly becomes dramatic with others in their life clearly unsupportive of a kid with Cam’s reputation being with the school’s golden girl. His whole life he’s never felt good enough, and now he’s getting it right up in his face. And the most vocal of all is Brooklyn’s father, who openly disapproves and doesn’t want Cam anywhere near his daughter.
So we get this ‘us against the world’ dynamic, which makes everything about their relationship more intense, and I loved watching Cam and Brooklyn love and support each other through all of the challenges that they are facing.
Ginger Scott writes the most beautifully emotional YA romance. I felt so much for these characters. I cared for them, I loved them together, and I was desperate for them to find their happy ending. Their story is written with so much heart, with scenes that I could see playing out like a movie, and that had my heart pounding, bringing so much emotion.

There are deeper themes that come up throughout the book that bring additional depth to the story, and I thought they were addressed really well. It’s dramatic, but sweetly romantic with moments that had me laughing and smiling, and it finishes in a great place, and I was left happy and satisfied.
There are hints of something going on between the two remaining characters in the friend group, James and Morgan, and I’m really excited for their book coming out next.
I loved this one.

Their story is written with so much heart, with scenes that I could see playing out like a movie, and that had my heart pounding, bringing so much emotion.
He marches toward me. I drop my shoes to the ground just as his hands push into my hair and his lips cover mine. I cling to his wrists and stand on the tips of my toes to meet his kiss, and when we break, he leaves his head against mine.
“Thank you for not being ashamed of me,” he says.

Cameron & Brooklyn were *chefs kiss* from beginning to end.
This book was so good I read it in one sitting and I'm upset with myself for reading it so quickly because I wish I spent more time enjoying these two characters and their story. I truly didn't think I'd love these two as much as I did, I loved Theo and Lily in book 1 and was so sure no one would ever top them, especially because we don't see a ton of Brooklyn or Cam in book 1 but boy was I wrong. From the first interaction Cam and Brooklyn have in this story you can just feel the chemistry bouncing off the pages it's so intense and it only heightens as we continue on in the story.
Cameron is the school jokester, daredevil extraordinaire known for loving em and leaving em. Brooklyn is his opposite in every single way, she doesn't date, takes school incredibly seriously and would never be caught doing half the stunts Cam pulls on a daily basis and yet somehow against all the odds these two WORK. I got the giggles and had butterflies taking residence in my chest because these two had the sweetest bond, I can't even put into words how precious it was!! We realize pretty early on that Cam has got a lot of secrets, and it made me so sad for him because he had no one to share those secrets with, though there was one person he wanted to share them with. I loved Brooklyn in this book because she is the only person in the friend group to realize there is so much more to Cam than everyone gives him credit for, she saw the real him when no one else would and defended him regardless of what it meant for her, and for the first time Cam finally had someone who could put him first and if that didn't break my heart into a million pieces seeing those two fight for their relationship and their HEA did.
This was a beautiful love story about two people who couldn't be more different but against all odds formed a bond that turned into a love to rival all other loves.

Oh my gosh! Cameron and Brooklyn's story gripped my heart.
"My hands abandon her hair and move to cradle her face, pulling her mouth to mine. Our mouths fit together as if they've found missing pieces."
Cameron Hass has crushed on Brooklyn Bennett since the first time he saw her when they started at Welles. They are in the same friendship group, but Brook is suddenly aware of Cam in a very different light. When did he get so fit and buff and gorgeous? When he suggests a better way to rehab her injured leg, after a tragic accident earlier in the year, she finds herself spending more alone time with Cam and realising that he is so much more than the class clown and pothead.
"I want this...I do. I want this. With you. All of it. I want you now, and I want us."
I just loved these two so much! Their evolving relationship was beautiful and sweet. There was an adorable awkwardness and gaucheness between them that melted my heart. There was a forbidden aspect to their relationship because their social backgrounds are very different, but I adored how Brook didn't care. I loved how she stood up for him and pushed back against the naysayers. Cam is SUCH a good guy! He was so thoughtful and careful with Brook. He was so much more than he portrayed himself to be, and I just adored his whole demeanour and how he dealt with situations. Gah! Such a fab read.

Oh my goodness does Ginger Scott know how to write about angst and heartaches then pieces you back together. Believe in love and the the strength of good friends and family behind you to make you whole again. I hope that makes senses.
Anyways, this is the 2nd book of the Boys of Welles, the first book we read about Theo and Lily now this about Cameron and Brooklyn. Brooklyn is the daughter of a senator wants to follow in her father foot steps. Cameron is the risk taker, jumping off trains and what not. Butwhat they don't know is that their fathers are somehow linked. Unbeknown to them Cameron's family also has a hand in keeping a wedge in his happiness. My heart broke for Cameron and glad to see his friend an Brooklyn rally for him. To support him when he needed it. Also, I found it endearing how he secretly coveted his friend Brooky but didn't want to cross that line until he spent more time with her alone. Getting to know her better. I can't reave about this author enough. She is one of my one click buys no matter what. I know she will break my heart but will gladly piece it back together in the end.

The emotions are rich, the drama juicy, the tension taut and the feels exquisite as this wickedly enticing read draws you in, grabs you by the throat and exerts just enough pressure to steal your breath but still keep you craving more. Brooklyn and Cameron truly make an intoxicating couple. The depth and layers to these characters are equal parts stunning and captivating and oh, how my heart ached for them as it melted. I am independently posting an impartial review.

Wow! I really enjoyed the first book in this series and was so looking forward to getting more of these characters and none more so than the real Cameron, the man beneath the class clown persona and ‘stoned’ happy go lucky prankster.
Well what an absolute treat this book is. I fell for this ‘bad boy who isn’t really so bad’ instantly! He has the most amazing kindness and caring nature. His life is full of secrets and embarrassments and yet he still manages to handle it all without going completely off the rails. Despite what others may think from his outgoing carefree personality and swagger, he’s an intelligent guy with a clear plan accompanied by a flirty wink!
So much is revealed throughout this story….expertly dropped into the narrative like breadcrumbs leading to the most fantastic ending….think of all those 80’s high school movies that had us swooning…when the misunderstood made it out and were actually cool! They then walked off into the sunset having ‘got’ the girl!! Cameron is my favourite kind of character.
Then we have beautifully broken Brooklyn, she is an total sweetheart! Absolutely sold on her father’s fight for political justice, she never puts a foot wrong as she strives for a future on a path set by her parents. Her trauma and pain is so much for her to deal with and yet she still pushes through and tries to hide all her insecurities in order to ‘conform’ to her upbringing. The very fact that Cam, of all people is the one to truly notice her and all her hidden layers , then to open her eyes to the real world, is proof that these two were destined for each other.
Cameron desperately needs the support and calming influence of Brooklyn more than ever as his world suddenly starts to crumble before his eyes….secrets are revealed and his only wish in the world is slipping away. Along with this Brooklyn starts to see more of the darkness hidden from her and she begins to find her own direction and truth which is so heartbreaking and yet freeing for her. With unwavering trust in each other and the strength a true partner brings they have found their true selves!
I was totally captivated by this whole book and couldn’t recommend these two wonderful characters more, their honesty and intimacy with each other was perfectly portrayed, they were definitely each other’s fiercest cheerleaders!….take a chance on these two….I’ll leave you with some wisdom in the words of Cameron Hass:
“Some people really suck. Others, not so much.”

This is book two in "The Boys of Welles Series", it is an interconnected standalone book that could be read alone but reading it as a series gives the story an added level. Ms Scott brings us a new level of teenage angst, so full of emotions and finding your direction that you will be drawn in from the beginning and held to the very end.
Brooklyn is a survivor of that horrible accident but she is still recovering both physically and mentally. She is know as being the perfect model student, but people don't know that she is struggling just a little with where she fits in. Sure she can be the good political daughter but why isn't she allowed to just be herself, a teenager. When she is visably trying to hide her struggles, Cameron seems to see her and want to be there for her.
Cameron doesn't fit with everyone at Welles and he manages to keep himself hidden behind his humor and sarcasm. Truth is he is torn between living in the past and find his future without consequences based on his fathers actions. His humor and sarcasm has gotten him a name and no matter how behaved he tries to be, he is still punished. Brooklyn somehow sees the boy behind it all. Taking the time to get to know the real Cameron.
Will they survive the people pushing them apart? Will Cam do what needs to be done to prove he is good enough for her? Will Brooklyn stand behind Cam even though it will bring issues? Can they find a way to hold strong and prove everyone wrong?

This is book two in "The Boys of Welles Series", it is an interconnected standalone book that could be read alone but reading it as a series gives the story an added level. Ms Scott brings us a new level of teenage angst, so full of emotions and finding your direction that you will be drawn in from the beginning and held to the very end.
Brooklyn is a survivor of that horrible accident but she is still recovering both physically and mentally. She is know as being the perfect model student, but people don't know that she is struggling just a little with where she fits in. Sure she can be the good political daughter but why isn't she allowed to just be herself, a teenager. When she is visably trying to hide her struggles, Cameron seems to see her and want to be there for her.
Cameron doesn't fit with everyone at Welles and he manages to keep himself hidden behind his humor and sarcasm. Truth is he is torn between living in the past and find his future without consequences based on his fathers actions. His humor and sarcasm has gotten him a name and no matter how behaved he tries to be, he is still punished. Brooklyn somehow sees the boy behind it all. Taking the time to get to know the real Cameron.
Will they survive the people pushing them apart? Will Cam do what needs to be done to prove he is good enough for her? Will Brooklyn stand behind Cam even though it will bring issues? Can they find a way to hold strong and prove everyone wrong?

In my humble opinion, Ginger Scott writes some of the best YA/NA romances out there today, and she's done it again with Rebel which is the second book in her The Boys of Welles series. (These are interconnected stand alone books, so you don't necessarily have to read book one first.)
This series takes place at the Welles private school and revolves around a group of friends who survived a horrific accident together. Rebel is Brooklyn and Cameron's story. Brooklyn and Cam have been friends for years, but Cam is reckless and Brooklyn follows all of the rules, so they've never really gotten too close. After Brooklyn's accident, she begins to lean on Cameron and sees another side of him. A side that she really likes. Although these two both attend Welles, they come from very different worlds and even their friendship is frowned upon, so imagine the reaction from family and friends when they start to get even closer.
This book really does pull on the heartstrings, and although it's Brooklyn that survived the accident, it's Cameron's story that really tugged my heart the hardest. He's reckless and a bit crazy, he's fun and charming, but he has such a vulnerability about him that you can't help but be touched. I loved the relationship that developed between Cameron and Brooklyn, and I appreciated the way that their story unfolded throughout this book.
If you've read the first book in the series, you'll enjoy seeing a little more of Theo and Lily, and we get some hints as to what's to come next with Morgan's book. I'm loving this series so far and I look forward to seeing how it continues.

WOW! Cameron and Brooklyn’s story was one hell of an emotional rollercoaster ride that captivated me. Their journey was gritty, raw and heartbreaking at times. It pulled on my heartstrings and had me sobbing into my pillow hoping that there would be a happy ending in this book somewhere.
The connection and chemistry that Brooklyn and Cameron have was undeniable and oozed off the pages. You knew that these two were just meant to be together and that they would help each other heal. I loved reading the progression of their relationship.
Really well written story with incredible characters and a storyline that is filled with emotional turmoil, angst, drama and a passionate love that will pull on your heartstrings and leave a smile on your face by the end.

Rebel is wonderful. A truly gripping opposites attract kind of romance that Ginger Scott delivers perfectly. Book 2 in the Boys of Welles trilogy, I can see why the author is firmly #TeamCameron because I am right there with her. Mr. Hass as the consummate class clown has so many more layers than he wants the world to see, saving those selfless moments for those he cares about most. Moments in which he gives Brooklyn Bennett the confidence to not only strengthen herself physically but allows her to stand up for what is right even when that battle may be against her determined father. Moments in which he saves his best for his beleaguered father, wishing circumstances could be different for him. And most importantly, moments in which he finally finds his own kind of bravery in order to set things right for not only himself but for his troubled and distant mother.
I've said it before and I'll happily say it again: Ginger Scott knows YA like no one else. She allows her characters to feel and react and love like the teenagers they are. It was such a joy to watch as both Cam and his Brooky fall for one another when their lives are so vastly different and yet can't seem to stay away from one another nor do they want to. Brooklyn's Senate-seeking father is the huge obstacle in their path to happy and I loved how Scott allowed both Cam and Brooklyn to deal with the fallout of their union even when it was hard. They even had friends, good friends for that matter, who give them a bit of grief that they would never make it and how Cam, in particular, could never be good enough for the well-heeled Brooklyn.
But the affection these two have for one another was all that either needed and I'm thrilled to say that when push came to shove and it happens more than once, both Cam and Brooklyn are clearly stronger together than they are apart.
There are a ton of laugh-out-loud moments as Cam and one particularly stubborn professor are at odds for most of the book and provide the levity needed when his world is at its darkest. But I loved that Cam never lost faith in Brooklyn to conquer her fears since the accident that continues to plague her nor did he lose faith in his dad even when he could only see him across a table. That his wicked sense of humor could soothe even the roughest of patches and keep his sanity with the whirlwind often going on inside his head. He is truly adorable.
There is an abundance of heartwarming scenes that had me choked up as we get a closer look into the life Cam has had to endure, and finally allowing Brooklyn into his chaos, her calming nature a true balm to his oft-times tortured soul. Despite all of their so-called differences, both Cam and Brooklyn are probably two of the nicest people Welles Academy has had the good fortune to teach. They are beautiful inside and out and the way they simply get one another is incredibly sigh-worthy and had me smiling hugely as the book came to an end.
With one more book left in this well-crafted and feel-good series, I can only imagine what Scott will have in store for us when Morgan and James get their story told next. With James a bit of a mystery, it will be very interesting to see how the seemingly confident Morgan will win his heart.
In the meantime, grab Rebel and lose yourself in the love story that is Cameron and Brooklyn. You'll be beyond pleased that you did.

I fell so hard for this opposites attract meets friends-to-lovers romance that tugged at my heart the whole time reading. Ginger Scott seduces with passionate prose, crafting complex and caring characters in this love story to savor.
I broke for Brooklyn and Cameron, an unlikely pair who take on their linked pasts together in this love story of strength and soul. A hero who doesn’t think he’s worthy but teaches the heroine to trust. A heroine who is just learning to fly but teaches the hero to hope. Ginger Scott continues to prove why she is one of my favorite authors. In her second book of the Boys of Welles series, Rebel, continuing the trilogy about the survivors of a tragic accident and their connections with boys of Welles Academy.
Brooklyn is another of the 3 survivors from the crash that had killed their best friend, Anika. "I'm the model Welles student...When your a Bennett your brand is perfection. I don't just meet expectations. I obliterate them." And then there is Cameron , "Cameron Haas is a lot more than some class clown who smokes a little pot...he's got depth. I've glimpsed it. It makes me curious."
Because of their family dynamics and disfuction, these two have had a secret crush on each other, yet feel they are not worthy. Both MC have family dynamics that are flawed. One has a father whom everyone wants something from, to one who lacks family, each MC being removed from being a stronger family bond by either actual prison to being a prisoner to their job.

Ginger Scott's writing, her characters, and her wonderful style of story telling all combines to create stories and characters that are hard to ever forget. This book could be a standalone since its mainly about Brooklyn and Cameron, but I highly recommend reading book 1, "Loner", to understand the dynamics of the girls, as well as the guys of Welles Academy. And as with all Ginger Scott's books, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND and give 5 stars to "Rebel".

The Boys of Welles series started off strong with Loner, but it got even better with Rebel. I loved this book. The Cameron-Brooklyn match up was perfection. I loved the mix of drama and emotions their story held. I was surprised at how many times I laughed. This was one of those reads that had me wanting to pick it up and read any spare minute I had.
Cameron was the wild child class clown type that everyone but authority figures adored. Brooklyn was the good girl who always followed her parents' rules. Cameron has crushed on her for years, and Brooklyn has just realized she maybe likes him as more than a friend. They were so sweet together. I loved the moments he was cheering her on in her physical recovery. Those were balanced out by the times she stood up for him. Their relationship was a good give and take and proved what a great couple they were despite their differences.
Rebel shows once again why Ginger Scott is a master of mature YA romances. Cameron and Brooklyn were exactly what I want all of opposites attract romance couples to be like. I cannot wait for the next book in the series to find out what's up with their friends Morgan and James.

This book is super emotional. Brooklyn and Cameron go through so much. What I loved about it is that even though they are very much from opposite social circles, they experience and have so much in common.
Brooklyn is extremely resilient. She has seen death and also been through some of the most horrific things. However, she is still there for her family and doesn't cry all the time. She takes time to heal and isn't perfect. And, she doesn't judge.
Cameron is also a huge teddy bear. I love that his struggles are real. He is vulnerable. He is a great example of you can have it all yet be empty on the inside. But, the way he cares for his family is awesome.
The romance in this book is really good. I love the opposite attracts trope and it is done really well. I loved that there was such an huge emotional build up. Even when the characters had the sexy times, you could see how the love was there. Also, the pacing was great. They didn't fall in love immediately but took the time. Also, none of the other characters healed the other but just supported.
I cannot wait for the next book in the series. It is awesome.

We met Cam in the last book (Loner).. he was a friend and roommate of Theo. Cam was the out-going, pot-smoking daredevil who was all about having a good time & not taking things so seriously.
Brooklyn.. is the complete opposite... A daddy's girl. A perfectionist in every way (school, her outfits, etc.). But every since the car crash that took the life of her best friend, it has left her scarred.
The two have been friends for years... and after the crash, the two become close. Brooklyn begins to see a different side to Cam. With undeniable chemistry, you can'y help but root for them.

More than just a School Romance
Sometimes there is more to a person than they let you see.
Cameron and Brooklyn know each other for years and attend Welles for the same time. And despite that fact they know seemingly really nothing about the other one. That doesn't also change the fact that they atre drawn to the other one. In more ways than just physical.
Cameron has secrets. More than one. But slowly he opens up to Brooklyn. And than things get uncomfortable. Not everyone loves seeing them together or loves just the idea of them as a couple. For different reasons. Friends, family....
I love the fact that they are to communicate always and mostly resist every try to seperate them. But they get hurt in the process. There are heartwarming moments as well as there are heartbreaking ones. Both are determind to become a better version of themselfs for the other one. And in this case it is a right decision.
I love the changes the characters make, the length they go for the loved ones. It is more than just a book, it has many little stories in itself that make a wonderful one in the end. I can highly recommend it. Sensitive, informative and emotional written. A page-turner.

Well I just have to start off by saying how much I absolutely adore Ginger Scott’s writing, she is not only so freaking talented but also happens to be one of my all time favorite authors . I can honestly say that I have never read a book of her I have genuinely loved . Rebel is the second installment in her ( The Boys Of Well series ) I honestly did not think it was possible to love this awesome series anymore then I already do but I was so wrong , in fact Cameron and Brooklyn just might be my favorite couple yet . Opposites attract, friends to lovers , angst, humor , heartbreaking and heartfelt moments, tragedy, twists and turns, witty banter , romantic, family , friendships, second chances , off the charts chemistry, sweet , cute , swoony , sexy , unforgettable and unputdownable. Rebel has all of the above in spades and so much more . I cannot remember the last time I finished a book in 24 hours but that’s exactly what I did . I started yesterday and read well into the early morning hours as it’s almost impossible to stop once you start . So settle in , keep the Kleenex close by and prepare for all the feels as you will laugh , you will cry and you will find yourself rooting so hard

Brooklyn grew up on the greener side of the grass. Her dad is a politician and she has not had much need for any material things. She is recovering from a leg injury due to a car accident and needs to work it out.
Cameron grew up with his mom. His dad has been serving time in prison Cameron's whole life. Even though Cameron goes to Welles, he has a lot of needs, such as a positive male role model and a mom who is more involved in his life.
When fate throws these two friends together, it seems Cupid wants to join in.
Opinion
This book is more than the typical wrong side of the tracks romance. It also is a friends to lovers and boarding school/high school romance. There is certainly something in this book to attract most romance lovers.
The flow of the story is perfect. The book also maintains a captivating story line. With references to the first book in the series and the same characters showing up as minor characters here, the reader's fascination with what happens next is answered. While the focus is on Cameron and Brooklyn, bits and pieces are revealed about both couples from the previous and next book in the series.

After reading Loner I have been really looking forward to Rebel, and, I am very happy to report, it is fabulous! Cameron and Brooklyn are seeming opposites, but as the book progresses we learn so much more about each of them and just how right they are for each other. Both have hidden parts of their characters, they have backgrounds that have a strong impact on their lives and they have the love and loyalty of their found family.
Brooklyn is still recovering from the accident and the loss of Anika. She has become a sort of guardian angel to her friends. Her heart is huge and her intelligence and commitment to her studies and doing the right thing, don't, seemingly jibe with Cameron's background and daredevil behaviour. Cameron is just wonderful. I loved him in Loner and it has been an absolute treat to get to know him better. The book successfully tells a love story that will warm your heart after knocking it about before getting to the happy promise of the future they deserve! Fabulous. 💖💖💖💖💖

What a delightful surprise Cameron and Brooklyn's story turned out to be. Cam is a young man of many layers and many secrets that I really enjoyed discovering. Cam is known as the school joker, the daredevil rule breaker whereas Brooklyn is the serious studious girl who never rocks the boat. I liked the premise of the storyline and the way Cam manages to get closer to the girl he has watched and waited for. Brooklyn grew on me more in this story especially as we get to see more of her personality this time. I loved watching their relationship develop and the support and confidence they gave each other. I have a pretty good understanding of the dynamics of the guys group and I am hoping the girls group is explored a little more in future books. There were so many layers to this story, some surprising revelations and major drama. The ending was perfect and manged to tie up all the threads of the story and deliver a beautiful love story.

This is the 2nd book in this series, and this is Cameron and Brooklyn’s journey. Cameron is a rebel, charming, mischievous, and campus heartbreaker. Brooklyn is the survivor of a car crash which she suffered physical and psychological trauma from, when she was in junior year, and she feels she is alone after the lose of her best friend, and her recovery is a slow process. Cameron may be a jokester and daredevil, but he is there for Brooklyn when she needs someone and is there every step of the way. This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster, with loss, grief, family, friendships, compassion, angst, drama, tension, secrets, healing, and love, which leads to a riveting and addictive page turner.

What an end to the story, I'm still chuckling at Cam's antics.
This book was a fantastic mix of heavy and humour. While Cameron came across as a bit reckless in the first book, I now have a better understanding of why he is who he is.
His story was not very pleasant.
He life has been a difficult journey, one that saddened me to read.
Brooklyn, I loved.
I loved her tenacity, her sense of justice, her ability to see beyond Cameron's playful facade.
Together, they manage to navigate some tricky situations. Yes, there were hard parts—parts that made me want to rant and rage about—but most of their story was about supporting each other during those rough patches.
While this book was low on the steam level, it was high on the affection meter. I absolutely adored their relationship and can not wait to get my hands on the next instalment of this series!

The cover and blurb grabbed me so I asked for an ARC copy and was granted. My first by this author but the story was so rich and consuming it will definitely not be the last.
What did I like? This is a great example of how power controls the world. One letter, one sentence, or just the wrong place, wrong time butterfly effect. Love each day to the fullest kind of book. Cam and Brooky were a crazy kind of love but it was their choices that made them stand tall till the end. I really enjoyed this book!
Would I recommend or buy? I think I was supposed to read book one first and it probably would have given me more background. The story and relationship between Cam and Brooklyn was simple and sweet. Despite outside attempts to rip them apart. I would recommend this book. Even without reading book one it was a great story. Four stars.

Wow, Ginger Scott does it again! She just us a way with words by creating worlds filled with characters you love and hate, and get sucked into the stories. Cameron has a reputation, but that’s not what he really is about and the only person he seems to open up to is Brooklyn. Brooklyn has been dealing with a lot since the accident and when she turns to Cameron, he makes her feel more than she does when she’s with anyone else. These two help each other out and have a push and pull between them that starts to blur. But what happens when their lives become tangled and secrets start to surface? Don’t miss out on Rebel, you will be hooked from the start and devouring this book to see what happens between Cameron and Brooklyn! I think Cameron just might by my favorite now!
