Such a fun and fast-paced read! Fans of Firefly and classic Westerns take note: if you've been looking for a heartfelt story with a daring hero striving to do the right thing when the deck is stacked against him, look no further! Quintus Fox gets hired for a job that sounds too good to be true. Evil corporations are conspiring against him even though one of them is the corp he's working for. Ancient treasure, a thief who seems to always be one step ahead, and a mysterious Operator thwart him at every turn. It would have been a stereotypical sci-fi novel but the author has filled it with interesting characters, a fun plot, and engaging conversations. Am purchasing book two.

interesting read
And so begins the series. Good read, enough action to keep one entertained, some character building, and a good finish. Looking forward to the next one.

Enjoyed it a lot. I hadn't realized there were short stories that set up the character / universe, but it stood well on its own and I'm looking forward to the sequel!
