Coming home should have been simple, but with corruption choking the streets, it’s up to us to take the fight to them.
What I didn’t see coming was her.
The fiery nurse has me on my knees, her strength and spirit impossible to resist. I swore I’d never tie myself to one woman again, but she’s making me question every promise I’ve made to myself.
Betrayal, deception, and blood—more than I thought possible—now we’re fighting for our town all over again.
Kate grew up in Western Sydney, in Australia, and remains there today. She has always loved the written word, being influenced by the likes of Edgar Allan Poe, JR Ward and Anne Rice, she ventured into writing at a young age.
Finally taking the plunge in 2016 and publishing for the first time. Ever since, she’s been trying to bring the worlds she’s created in her head to the page for everyone else to enjoy as much as she does.
When she’s not writing, she’s looking after her bevvy of pets including snakes, lizards, axolotls, birds, a turtle and a dog with her husband Kyle.
Bad to the Bone follows Hawk and Morena whilst they try and navigate the fallout from the events of the last book Out for Blood. Ace being arrested might not be the biggest problem they need to work through when another MC club decides to set up shop down the road... to make matters even worse, Morena has a bucket load of secrets she's yet to unpack. Sprinkle in some unsavory side characters and you've got the recipe for utter chaos.
Kate did a wonderful job with the plot idea of this story; it was such a seamless transition into this book that you could stumble upon it as a standalone and know no difference.
Action packed, thrilling, mischievous and full of inappropriately timed spice, all in all it was a quick enjoyable read.
!!Tropes!! forced proximity, opposites attract, who did this to you, betrayal/redemption, rebellion against authority, revenge, found family, lovers to enemies to lovers, Motorcycle club, strong Fmc
"I felt everything in me break. Is this what they meant heartbreak felt like?"
If I could rate this book higher than 5 stars, I absolutely would! I loved it so much. The flow from the end of book one to the start of book two was absolutely seamless - even with the shift to a new set of MCs.
Our FMC, Morena, is strong willed with a beautiful heart. Her perseverance and commitment is something to be awed by. Our MMC, Casey/Hawk, is a total badass. Usually level headed, I love seeing him come undone by his woman.
This book was the epitome of amazing. The roller coaster of emotions from start to finish, was such a wild ride.
With tropes including female empowerment, revenge, lovers to enemies to lovers, this book will have you holding your breath, waiting to see what comes next.
"You're one of us and you will be protected at all costs."
FANTASTIC STORY!!! This is a great addition to the Ghost Rebels MC series. Hawk and Morena's story is not for the feint of heart. While theirs is a love story, it's full of trials and tribulations. This heart-pounding story is going to keep you on the edge of your seat. There are plenty of twists and turns that you won't see coming. Kate Bonham captivates you from page one. You won't be able to put it down.
The second book in this series and I definitely like this one more. The twists and turns and the characters. I'm definitely a fan of Hawk and Morena, love that its kind of opposites attract. Their chemistry is definitely strong. Also love that Morena is helping and stands up for herself. A good cliff hanger into the next book.
4⭐️ 4🌶️ ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT!! My anxiety spiked during this book and this series to be honest. Such a captivating story, I’m enjoying how this series is going. I really couldn’t read it quick enough haha
With quotes like these why wouldn’t you pick up this 2nd book in the Ghost Rebels MC series by Kate. If you want MC, Dark and spicy definitely pick up this series you wont regret it.
“Give me a minute babe, I need a fucking minute’. She giggles the most innocent and beautiful sound in the world and kissed my chest. ‘Take your time old man’
‘I’m not a blow up doll’. I laughed throwing his clothes at him. ‘I do need to have a break’ ‘And you call me old’

I said that the first book had started my latest reading obsession being MC Romance, and this one backed it up 100% A fantastic sequel and addition to the Ghost Rebels MC series that not only continues on from where book 1 left off, but propels you toward yet another amazing cliff hanger. I am absolutely loving this series, and Hawk and Morena's story was so full of twists and turns that it held me consistently in its grip. The level of depth that was developed for these characters in such a short amount of time was fantastic, and the character progression throughout was incredible, revealing small pieces of their past and the reasoning behind the things they do, little by little throughout the story! 100% recommended read, and I cannot wait to continue the series!
Tropes: MC, Dual POV, Grumpy/Sunshine, Forbidden love, Who did this to you, Betrayal and redemption, protector/nurturer, found family, curvy FMC
Bad to the Bone by Kate Bonham certainly left its mark on me. Giving the book a solid 4.5 stars, this book was a thrilling blend of hard-hitting action and a character’s raw, transformative journey.
From the very first page, I was drawn into a world that feels gritty and intensely real. A setting that's vivid and unmistakable—a backdrop that pulses with both darkness and the possibility of redemption. The atmosphere is almost tangible, pulling you into every shadowed alley and spark of hope.
Morena and Hawks journey isn’t just about the adrenaline of fierce confrontations; it’s an intimate exploration of resilience and the bittersweet heaviness of past mistakes. There were moments where I found myself reflecting on personal challenges and the unexpected strength that arises when life pushes you to your limits.
Overall, Bad to the Bone is a compelling ride that reminded me of the beauty found in both our vulnerabilities and our strengths. It’s a must-read if you’re looking for a tale where every high is hard-won, every shadow harbors a glimmer of light, and every page leaves you pondering long after you’ve turned it.
My first book by Kate Bonham and won't be the last
Highly recommended for anyone in search of a narrative that challenges and inspires in equal measure.
Bad to the Bone follows Hawk and Morena as they navigate the fallout from the events in Out for Blood. Ace’s arrest is a major complication but it’s not their only problem. Another MC club is setting up shop nearby, and to make things even more complicated, Morena is carrying around a lot of secrets yet to come out.
Kate did an amazing job with the storyline. The transition from the first book is so smooth this could easily read as a standalone but the backstory helps and adds depth to the characters and subplots.
This book is packed with intense moments which tend to bring out the heat in this relationship. Hawk and Morena’s emotional journey will both frustrate and captivate you. The twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat, keeping me hooked. I’d highly recommend reading the first book, as the story picks up right where it left off. The characters are fascinating, and the twists are fabulous. Hawk and Morena’s “opposites attract” dynamic makes their chemistry more compelling. The cliffhanger at the end definitely means that book 3 is a must read!!
Even though it could be read as a standalone, I feel like you really need to read Out For Blood first to really capture the moment of when Hawk and Morena first meet. I love how book two easily picked off where book one ended, the two books blend seemlessly which made me realise book two would end like that, leaving me wishing and waiting for book three!
Getting to know Hawk and Morena as our MMC and FMC was a thrill, I love that she could put that boy into place. Morena is an amazing FMC, she’s strong, with an absolute heart of gold and is not afraid to show perseverance. Casey, aka Hawk, oh what a joy it is to see him unravel slowly by realising that one woman can be it for him.
I really enjoyed Kate’s writing in this book and I highly recommend anyone to read it, whether they be familiar or newly acquainted with her work or with MC stories. Because now I want all the biker romances I can get my mitts on! 😍
Do check the TW/CW for this series though, as some scenes can be heavy!
I received this as an ARC and this opinion is mine and mine alone.
I wish the star rating went up to 10 because I absolutely loved this book so much! To be honest, I didn't realise it was a second book to a series until I finished it so it totally can be read as a standalone but I can guarantee you won't be able to stop at this or not go back to the first on like I'm about to do! The story line was so good, each biker clearly has a story of his own and now knowing there are more books I'm giddy with excitement! Hawk, the MMC in this book is just a total heart throb, his biker cut can't hide his big heart and how much love he has to give and the FMC Morena is the lucky one on the receiving end of hawks intense love, he would literally go to war for her and in a way he did. The bond is so strong and there love is so refreshing. I just cant recommend this book enough. After reading bad to the bone I think I have definitely found another favourite author.
I genuinely thought the first book had already pushed me to my limit. Like I was already yelling, pacing, fully emotionally invested. SCREAMING…… and then I picked this one up. Somehow it cranked everything up ten times higher. I was frustrated, yelling at the pages, questioning every decision, and yet completely unable to put it down.
These men?? Absolutely unbelievable. The lack of brain, the audacity, it was so infuriating to watch them just not learn. I kept thinking “surely THIS. This is where they start leading not to do this SAME THING”… and nope. The emotional rollercoaster was real.
I loved every single second of it. The chaos, the tension, the drama all of it had me completely hooked from start to finish.
10/10, no notes. Completely and utterly obsessed in this universe. I live there now
This flowed on so well from the previous book (lets hope the next book comes out asap as that cliff hanger was so good) I am left wanting more, so much more. I could eat up this motorcycle club universe up. Kate has written Hawke and Morena's story so well, it left me on the edge of my seat. I was also so heart broken, but then Kate put it all back together. You can feel the emotions from the characters coming off the page. Highly recommend diving into this series you will not be disappointed.
Tropes: Motorcycle club, graphic sex, rival clubs, possessiveness, dominance, who did this to you, betrayal, deception, revenge, found family, strong AF FMC
Triggers: death, mention of dv, gun fight, bikie war, drugging, fighting, harassment, weapons.
This book picks up right where the first one, Out for Blood, left off, with Ace being arrested. This time, we follow Hawk and Morena more closely, as they navigate the devastating events from the previous book and the new threats that emerge.
This book was a short, sharp shot of adrenaline, packed with themes of revenge, biker culture, corruption, and betrayal. There's definitely a lot of heat in this one! That cliffhanger ending has me absolutely hanging out for the next book. I'm really keen to see where the story goes from here.
Bad To The Bone is fantastic and so is Hawk and Morena! Their story is intense, emotional, dramatic and gritty. It'll consume you from the very beginning and holds you until the very end. The characters and their storyline are easy to fall in love with and their emotions quickly become yours from the "awwwww" moments right down to the "I want to unalive" moments and I felt every one of them. And finally, Bear and Orla are next and I can't wait!
4.5 stars! If you thought you loved Aces story - just wait til you read Hawks! I adore him, I will die for him🤣
After that cliffhanger in book 1 I Dived straight into book 2 and I couldn’t stop! I loved seeing Hawk get his redemption and his love story! But my gosh it’s not without its ups and downs! 1000% recommend this book and this series! And of course - I’m on to book 3 because yet again - another cliff I fell over 🤣
Loved this and yes Hawk was the resident foul mouthed playboy but Morena certainly brought him to his knees, I absolutely loved their relationship ❤️❤️❤️ A definite page turner and very entertaining. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎🖤
Book was great absolutely loved it! It was very similar to the way the book was for the first book. I could not put the book down though! It is a slow burn romance 💕
I loved the way Casey aka Hawk defended Morena. The character development was great and development from the first book as a carry on!
Wow, action packed from the start in multiple ways. An MC romance with a spunky FMC and a possessive MMC.
Notable triggers: • Assault (on page) • Sexual assault (off page) • Violence • Attempted murder • Death
This book has lots of spicy scenes and some during very interesting times. Hawk and Morena will both frustrate and excite you on their emotional journey. A lot of twists where twisting which had me on the edge of my seat. I do recommend to read the 1st book, as the story is continuous.
I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This story is fantastic! It kicks off from the first book with the MCs all mixing between the 2 books , great characters get plot line definitely loved the FMC. Will Definitely continue reading the series and unlocking the story behind the biker men and ladies !
Congratulations to the author for another fabulous book
This was another Great Book. I Love it. It was entertaining, playboy MC biker, nurse, spicy, going to jail, poison, unpredictable, wonderful characters, death, mom try to come back, trail, and so much more. The ending WOW!!! Going to read, the next book, NOW!!!
