I could have finished this in a day, but I took my time because I wanted to enjoy the process. When I reread the writer’s first book, Kathmandu: Bite Sized, I noticed new layers in the stories that I hadn’t picked up the first time. I figured Lalitpur: Bite Sized would have the same effect. I also read the stories in different sequences: first to last, last to first, and completely at random. Since I know the writer personally, I kept trying to guess which life event might have inspired each story.
Overall, it was a fun read. I really enjoyed seeing the cities I frequent through someone else’s mind. I loved the social commentary, and I loved reading stories that featured people I know.
