SOS Hotel #8

SOS Hotel: On the Road

Rate this book
Did you think it was the end of our wild hotel adventures?
Yeah, us too.

The Big Bad is gone. Me (Zee, obvs), Adam, and Fancy-Fangs are long overdue some down-time. I’d also like a foot rub, a string of Tom’s hallucination-inducing cocktails, and endless hours of some much-needed personal time with my two favorite people between the sheets. And my pole.

Hello, happy ever after!

But it turns out, fate ain’t done with us yet.

Everyone’s favorite sunshine twink is great at unexpectedly unaliving folks who probably deserve it. What he’s not great at is keeping secrets. So when Adam packs our bags and springs a surprise vacation on us, it’s obvious—even to Lord Fancy-Fangs—that something is up.

We’ll play along and won’t ask questions, because it’s Adam. He’ll tell us what’s really going on… eventually.

But as we take the SOS HOTEL team on the road, and the weirdness stacks up (biker gang werewolves, psycho witchy influencers, wicked trolls and sinkholes), there’s one question me and Fancy Fangs can’t shake.

What the f*ck do dragons run from?

(We’re back! Ha, didn’t see that coming, did you. Yeah, neither did we. I still don’t get a book about ME, but the author allowed me to write this blurb, so long as I don’t f*ckin’ swear. Pfft. So buckle up b*tches, the ride ain’t f*ckin’ over yet. Do you think you’re ready? Think again, cupcake. The crazy just got crazier.)

Welcome to the SOS HOTEL ~ Where we’re definitely NOT on the run.

It hasn't even been that long since I’ve read the 7th book in this series. But damn did I miss these guys. Zee still holds all his amazing glory, Adam is his usual ‘normal human’ self and Fancy Fangs, as always, is the anchor holding them all down to earth. It was a little strange seeing them away from the hotel but I got used to it verily quickly. I found the small adventure in this one to be fun and interesting, like always. While on the road (totally not Adam running away from his problems) they decide to stay at a motel where they end up getting caught in the middle of a murder case. So, Adam (being Adam) volunteered them to try and solve the case for an angry group of werewolves. There’s also a new character introduced named Zander, and oml I love him!! He’s like Zee, not entirely matching his flare because no one can match Zee’s flare but he’s close enough. And I really hope we get a glimpse of him again. Another thing to add is that I will never get enough of Adam and Zee saving Victor's ass while he’s trying to be heroic and then they all end up having makeup sex. I just absolutely loved this book overall and this series has continued its streak of five stars!!

The prophecy was fulfilled. My heart saved the world. It was over.
But I guess even after you turn the last page and close the book, the story never really ends. The heroes go home and live their lives.

Well, if you thought it was over and that our favorite trio would live happily ever after quietly in their hotel, you were wrong. After a few weeks of relative calm, Adam is faced with a new threat straight from his past, a threat he cannot fight this time, so his only option is to run away with Zee and Reynard to keep the hotel safe. He doesn’t want to scare them, of course, so he tells them that this is an improvised vacation/mission from agent Leonidas… If you can call solving a series of murders and attacks on a werewolf pack miles away a vacation...

“Finally,” Zee exclaimed, tossing the cookies onto the boxes and strutting toward the door. “Let’s go and Scooby-Doo the fuck out of this furry whodunnit.”

I liked the murder-solving plot and the introduction of the werewolves and loup-garou. In French, a loup-garou is a werewolf, so it was interesting to read the author’s take on this mythical creature, and I like how she made the loup-garou appear creepier and more powerful than what I am used to, without being over-the-top powerful. I also like the fact that while most of the plot revolves around the gang trying to catch the loup-garou, Adam does not forget about the initial threat against him, and it is still an underlying part of the plot. It was not just a convenient excuse the author used to get the crew on the road; there is a legitimate threat against Adam and his loved ones, and I am curious to see how they will deal with this new problem.

Since Adam fled from the hotel, this book has a new setting, and it is refreshing. Adam, Zee, and Reynard are staying at a shady motel in a little town run by a pack of werewolves that do not take kindly to strangers, especially when one of their own is murdered minutes after the strangers arrived. When Adam promises to find the murderer, though, he, Zee, and Reynard find themselves roped into werewolf attacks and yet another situation that could have been avoided if Adam wasn’t so… Adam.

“Maybe he doesn’t like strangers.” It probably wasn’t every day a dashingly handsome Scout-leader vampire, a seven-foot-tall demon in glossy heels, and an average human wandered into his yard.

The sass and snark between Zee and Reynard continue to be delightful, especially now that they have admitted their feelings to each other. However, I also feel that the trio regressed a little bit in this book when it comes to trust and how they treat each other. While it is made clear that Zee and Reynard trust Adam with their life, at times, they are also back to treating him like a “regular” fragile human, even after seeing his immense power in the previous books. It is a minor detail, but overall, it felt more like what they had in the 5th or 6th book of the series (but with less tip-toeing around each other of course).

On a side note, Zander could be an interesting addition to the Hotel crew, and I am curious to see if he will make an appearance in the next books or if he will decide to stay at the hotel so he can talk more about vintage vibrators with Zee. He is a very colorful and intense character who would be very easy to love, and it would also be nice to have some “fresh blood” in the gang.

I think the author is planning another two books in this series, and I can’t wait to read them. As always, this series is engaging, entertaining, funny, and a quick read, making it the perfect comedy relief that can be read in a day or two only.

And I thought things would calm down now, and I really hoped that the new villain wouldn't be so evil. Damn.
Anyway, I ended up giggling stupidly again.
What I liked most was how Zee and Victor just go on the trip without knowing why. Just because Adam says it's necessary. And then there's the thing with the cookies... and Zander's special collection... gosh, it's all so ridiculous.

“I packed our bags,” I said, forcing a grin. “We’re going on vacation.”
“We are?” Zee straightened, suddenly interested. “Oh, fun. Where to? Did you pack Carlos?”
Did I pack . . . uh . . . “Carlos is . . . who?”
“My favorite dildo.”
🤭🤭🤭

“Adjoining rooms.”
“Your skinny asses can take those skinny beds. I’m too fabulous to ever sleep in a single. And I have wings.”
“Thank you for the reminder. We surely hadn’t remembered your impractically large appendages.”
“Are we talkin’ about my wings or something else?” When Victor didn’t laugh, Zee headed over to him. “Sassy Daddy is sassy.”
🤭😍🤭

There are naked men, and then there’s Victor, whose nakedness is both so rare and mind-numbingly gorgeous that none can resist it.
“Sweet eye-fucking porn,” Zee tried to cover my eyes. “Adam, look away from the masculine perfection so I can ogle him in private.”
I laughed, and swatted Zee’s hand away. “Hey, no way am I letting you enjoy the show without me.”

Ugh, this series is so much fun I caaan’t 😩

Since everything was wrapped up so neatly in the last book, it took me a minute to settle into the new setting outside the hotel, ngl. But my favorite trio once again delivered with their charm, snark, badassery, and unwavering love for each other.

And honestly? I think Zee might be one of my favourite characters of all time. He’s just so damn fabulous, funny, loving, and brave - ugh, just perfect. I ADORE HIM 😭

After a few thoughtful beats, Zander asked, “Is it French?”
“Uhm, maybe?” I wasn’t sure why the language was important, and Zee shrugged when I looked to him for an answer.
“Don’t you speak French?” I asked Zee.
“Moi? What the fuck gave you that idea?”
“You just said moi? That’s French, Zee”
His face got all gnarly with denial. “No it’s not.”
“Yeah, it is.” Wasn’t it?
“No, it’s not. It’s Zee. I speak Zee.”
Was it Zee or French? Now I wasn’t sure.
😂♥️

The murder investigation was an absolute blast and the new baddie that’s introduced in this book scares the shit out of me, ngl 😅

Also: I hope we haven’t seen the last of Zander!

This was just as silly, ott, insane and hilarious (tho Jenny’s gen z lingo made me cringe, but I think it was intentional lol) as the rest of the series and the perfect little escapist read! Can’t wait to see which adventure will find them next… in Minnesota of all places?!

I genuinely thought the last book rounded of this series really nicely, so it did take a while to get into this one because it felt like everything had already been wrapped up.

I did like the introduction of the werewolves, and also the new Lost One species which I can't remember the name of 😂, and I liked the crime solving plot for this book, but it did feel like Adam, Zee and Victor had regressed a little? Zee and Victor are still treating Adam like a fragile human for starters...

The new nemesis for the next batch of books in this series is Adam's brother, so that will be an interesting showdown in future books as they are considered to be pretty much indestructable, but as this book was mostly set up for the overarching long term plot it didn't grab my attention like other Adam Vex books have. I think the same thing happened with the previous ongoing plot though so it wasn't entirely unexpected, but I'm sure the following books will pick up the pace and grab my interest again.

I am looking forward to seeing where this extension to the series goes, but I think the novella format works against the series when it's mainly setting up future events because there's not enough detail, and also not much really happened to progress the character's from where they were at the start of the book to where they were at the end.

"The werewolves hadn’t mentioned anything about his house being pink. “Maybe he doesn’t like strangers.” It probably wasn’t every day a dashingly handsome Scout-leader vampire, a seven-foot-tall demon in glossy heels, and an average human wandered into his yard."

Just when you think the boys are settling down to their happily ever after, Adam has a moment and they're on the road in a rusty pink rental minivan. And definitely, absolutely, not on the run.

Prepare yourself for biker gang werewolves, Fang Daddy in baggy brown cargo pants, Zee being fabulous and so many Oreos!

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I highly recommend this series of novellas as a palate cleanser amongst all the dark and angsty reads out now, or just as a light-hearted hilarious escape from reality. Adam, Zee and Victor are hilarious together and their crazy escapades are good for the soul!

We all hoped for a happily ever after for our favourite triad (or threesome, like Adam often says). It turned out, troubles never end for them and now they're on the run: Adam needs to escape to keep his lovers safe, while Zee and Victor pretend to get along with the idea of an impromptu vacation, but they're actually waiting for Adam to confide in them.

Obviously, they're like magnets for murderous creatures and volunteer themselves (well, Adam did) to help a pack of werewolves to discover who killed their friend.

I liked Adam's honesty about his own nature, about he could have been a monster without Zee and Victor's love.
I also adored their intimacy and their dynamic when they're alone: they really can get to each other what they need.

This ends with the usual cliffhanger, we'll see what the author has in store for them in the next book.

In the two weeks since I’d eaten Gideon Cain in full view of the world’s press, the SOS Hotel had been at full occupancy. It turned out live villain-eating made for great publicity.

Did we really think we'd seen the last of Adam and the SOS Hotel? *raises hand* I did! So when Ariana Nash announced the series was getting a continuation arc I was both hesitant and excited. We capped off the original 7 books after a long fought, epic journey - was I really ready to jump back into the zany shenanigans from this trio?

Yes. Yes I was.

Zee draped an arm over Victor’s shoulders. “This little dumb act allows me to walk the fuck all over you and get away with everything and anything I like. Or had you not figured me out yet?”
“Hm.” Victor had definitely figured that.

These guys and their connection <3 I loved how in the early stages of the book, Adam says It speaks to their connection that the trust is 100%. And, this book answers the time old question - what happens when a demon, a vampire, and a human walk into a werewolf bar...

Sudden movement snagged my senses. A cool hand slammed over my mouth, and Victor purred in my ear. “It’s me, my dear. Do not fear.”

PHEW is it just me or is daddy Victor in top form in this book? I admit - out of the 3, during the original series, he was my least favorite. I had a few faults with his early-in-series character choices that I never really forgave him for, so he didn't quite give me that daddyvibe the other characters (I'm looking at you, Zee) felt he did. But in this book? Daddy Victor is here ladies and gentlemen! All I need is him to purr 'my dear' in my ear and my life will be complete.

Overall - I'm excited for what this new series continuation might bring us and will be looking forwards to SOS Hotel: Icy Reception in late April!

"𝚃𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚒𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚠𝚘𝚛𝚜𝚎 𝚏𝚞𝚌𝚔𝚒𝚗' 𝚖𝚘𝚝𝚎𝚕 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛 - 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚗 𝚠𝚘𝚛𝚜𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚗 𝚘𝚞𝚛𝚜. 𝙸'𝚖 𝚕𝚎𝚊𝚟𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚊 𝚘𝚗𝚎-𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚛 𝚛𝚎𝚟𝚒𝚎𝚠."

The wacky trio we love so much is at it again and this time they are heading on a fun little, uhm, vacation!? More books in the SOS world are a gift I will never complain about receiving. Any time we get to spend with Adam, Zee, and Daddy vampire will always bring a smile to my face. These books are just so fun and wild. I never know what they are going to get themselves into next and On the Road is no exception!

"𝙾𝚑, 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚔 𝚢𝚘𝚞. 𝚈𝚘𝚞'𝚛𝚎 𝚝𝚘𝚘 𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚍. 𝙸𝚝'𝚜 𝚜𝚘 𝚗𝚒𝚌𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚙𝚎𝚘𝚙𝚕𝚎 𝚠𝚑𝚘 𝚟𝚒𝚜𝚒𝚝 𝚠𝚑𝚘 𝚊𝚙𝚙𝚛𝚎𝚌𝚒𝚊𝚝𝚎 𝚍𝚒𝚌𝚔𝚜."

Of course, these three can't go anywhere without sticking their noses into some business or another and this time it's the murder of a biker werewolf. They aren't exactly the friendliest bunch, except for one who is a bit pink obsessed and oblivious AF. Zander was actually adorable, and you can guess how well he got along with our resident fashionista and troublemaker Zee!

The reason for this little impromptu "vacation" is something I did not see coming and I'm positive neither did Adam. This new baddie is not going to be an easy defeat aka an easy morsel for Adam to eat. I'm not too worried though. These guys may end up in the weirdest situations, but they always figure a way out of them in the end.

I am just in love with this crazy trio and if I had a say in it, this series would continue forever 😍 Adam, Zee, and Victor are on the run - and they run into trouble, of course. There is a new villain around (after Gideon Cain was dealt with in the last book), and I can't wait to know where all this is going ...

I love these characters and this world and the ridiculous shit they get themselves into. I will love them forever, this was an excellent continuation of their time together, and I hate myself a lot for still not getting around to the xmas novella yet.

Seriously, this is just a fun, sweet, wild series. You get the good shit without all the bad shit and everyone is happy at the end. If you hate fun, you’ll probably hate this, but I mean, good cake is still good cake in the end. Even if you don’t like cake, it’s still gonna slap if it’s delicious, and this still slaps even if you’re boring and don’t enjoy fun things in a world that’s burning.

4.5/5. More Tom would’ve been great, but I get it. I’m just his biggest fan🥲

Gimme all the visits to these 3 please!

Leaving the hotel and going on an adventure was a great change of scenery and have us the opportunity to see the wider world and how they were affected by the Lost Ones coming through.

Adam takes his loves away to protect them, the hotel, and those he leaves behind from a new threat. Wow, this one is going to be wild to deal with. We thought Gideon was bad!

I'd love for a little more Tom in the next one, but I loved them solving a mystery, the sweet moments between them, all of them learning to communicate as a throuple, everything!

Curious to see where the next adventure goes.

I’m so happy that the SOS Hotel crew are back at it again! This time, the gang are taking a holiday (read: on the run) after Adam’s evil brother turns up and Adam decides that avoiding the situation is paramount.

Their little jaunt leads them into a spooky forest, complete with biker gang werewolves, creepy mist and more Oreos than you can shake a stick at! On the spur of the moment, Adam agrees to go all Sherlock and solve a murder… so obviously what on earth could go wrong??

These books are so lighthearted and fun (even the murdery parts!) and I really enjoy the dynamics between our 3 MCs - seeing Zee and Victor being cuties together is a vibe!

Not too long ago, I finally read SOS Hotel. In its entirety because the "last" book had just released. And I adored the hell out of it. So, naturally, I was low-key heartbroken when I finished it. But then the amazing Ariana announced there'd be more coming! Y'all. The sound I made when I read that was not human.

Honestly, I wasn't even worried if I was going to like this as much as the rest. Because I knew I would, and I did! More of the same wonderful things that made the other series so great. Great, funny writing. Amazing banter. A story that has me laughing, swooning, fanning myself, and also bite my nails at times. And of course the fantastic characters.

I loved every part of this and I cannot wait for the next installment!

You know, the SOS Hotel series wrapped up nicely, seemed everything was as it should be and I was happy with how it ended. But, am I mad it was brought back--and brought back super fast--for a side adventure? Umm, hell no! I love these guys! Adam's adorable, Zee is fabulous and fierce and Victor is the calm, level-headed one holding them together....unless you try to hurt one of his men. If you're dumb enough to do that, all bets are off!

So, in this wonderful mini-series, we learn one of Adam's brothers lived. And he's kinda mad Adam maybe was the one who tried to kill him. Oops? Well, Adam isn't about to let big bro attack his men and, as far as he can see, the best way to protect them is to run. And, the best way to protect their hotel is to get as far away from it as possible. But, as always happens with these fine gentlemen, trouble finds them, even in the middle of nowhere. And this time, it's werewolf bikers nipping at their heels. Do these three know how to party or what?

So, as always, such an easy, quick, fun read. Loved Zander, really hope he joins them at the SOS Hotel. He and Zee would definitely become besties. Speaking of Zee....his love of Oreos is something I can totally relate to. Though, while I love the originals, there are some flavors out there that are just so good! Lemon is amazing and mint is just so perfect, reminds me of Thin Mints from Girl Scouts....

Oops, got distracted by cookies! Guess I know why I love Zee so much! Anywho, if you loved the first series with these nutjobs, you should love this. I am definitely continuing on. I read the blurb and soooo can't wait for it to come out!

4.25 ⭐️

First of all, if you haven’t read the first seven books in this series, go do that now! This isn’t a standalone, and you’ll enjoy it way more with all the context.

We are back with our favourite chaos trio, but in a new setting, which feels like a nice change of pace.
After they saved the world, a few weeks of relative calm is all they get. Suddenly, Adam is faced with a new threat straight from his past. And now they are on the run…um…I mean, vacation. Much deserved vacation.
Of course, their “vacation” doesn’t stay relaxing for long. Just when they decide to stop and rest, suddenly, they’re caught up in a whole new mess. Let’s face it, these three just can’t stay out of trouble. And this time, it's the murder of a biker werewolf, and werewolves are not the friendliest group to tangle with.

The murder mystery is fun, and the introduction of werewolves and loup-garou adds a really interesting twist. I do love how the author puts her own spin on loup-garou, making them a bit creepier and more powerful than the werewolves. I also liked that while the gang is “having fun” solving a mystery, the author doesn’t forget the original threat against Adam. It’s always lurking in the background, and makes the tension feel even higher.

As always, the banter in the book is great and hilarious. That is especially true between Zee and Reynard. Also Reyzee is fire and I can’t get enough of them. I love that we get a short scene with just the two of them. ❤️
The dynamic between the three is, as always, really entertaining. I am constantly amazed how good the author is in balancing humour, action, and just enough emotional moments to keep things interesting.

If I had one complaint, it’s that the characters don’t really change much from the beginning to the end of the book. It’s a super fun ride, but it doesn’t feel like it moves the characters forward in any big way.
That said, the mix of action, sass, and suspense makes it a great, quick read. It’s lighthearted and funny, even with all the murdery bits, so…it’s the best, just like Zee. 😉

So amazing that our guys are back! What could a big bad dragon possibly be afraid of to leave the safety of the hotel and take his two closest lovers on the run for an impromptu ‘road trip’? There’s adventure and some crime solving and sizzling scenes of course. If you are like me and crave more Adam, Zodiac, and Reynard in your life, you wont be disappointed!!

Another Adam Vex book finished. Phew, I think the author has lost her touch here. Sounds like she should let the series die at book 7 once and for all, and instead writes three more. Hey, I get it, it's true that when something is lucrative, it's hard to stop, but seriously, I thought it was a fresh, funny, shameless series, with a bit of adventure, and now it's become more of the same, with jokes that sound worn out. Girl, this would make a good second season for any other show, but seriously? No comments. She's done too much and too little at the same time, it's amazing. No romance at all, or very little. There was some adventure, though. We've already made it clear that, at best, we've gone from absurd to pathetic humour. Please let this series die, the good ending was in the seventh book, where it didn't take itself too seriously, but now it's like the same trick over and over and over again. I don't want to give it one star but it doesn't deserve 3, I would give it 2.5, but this one was a hot mess. For all my gals and gays who love to see some of their favourite characters being lame, this one's for you

I was provided a free e-copy of the book by the author for review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thanks, you for this!

We all thought this was over, but our favorite trio is back!
Surprise! This is not the end.

After stopping Gideon Caine, Adam, Zee & Victor thought they could finally catch a well deserve break. Everything seems to be going well until Adam decided that the trio need a unplanned vacation, a road trip North.

Victor knows something is going on, since Adam is becoming mysterious and vague again. The vampire is patient with his lover and think that Adam will tell them once he is ready.

“Because there’s no reason not to tell us why, we’ll always support you, no matter what or how bad such a thing might be to cause you to run in the first place.”

Adam wants to save them from danger, by not telling them what is troubling him. I was a little bit disappointed with him, since he was finally opening up more in the previous book. Guess he didn’t really learn and continue to hide things from Zee & Victor.

Zee is still his fabulous self and doesn’t ask much questions.

The trio get caught in a werewolf pack murder mystery and Adam volunteer to help, since they are not seen as hero in the supernatural community. This is also a way to push away the problem of Adam’s dragon brother not really being dead, temporary.

Shenanigans, craziness & romance are still present. I am happy that there is a continuation of this series, even if the ending of the last book was satisfactory for me.

Once again this is one of those perfect stories to read right when you're feeling a little bit down or anxious or anything except perfectly fine. Of course, this book is also great if you're feeling great too. Really it's such a wonderful read with that special brand of silly and heartwarming ridiculousness, paired with beloved characters and humor. I would be happy if this series continued indefinitely with shorter stories detailing the escapades of my favorite trio.

Knowing what I know now about this book, would I still read it if I went back in time?
Definitely.

See below for the four criteria I use to decide whether and when to read a book

CHARACTERS: Although Adam is a little more tense in this book (for valid reasons), the three of them still have great chemistry, stellar lines, and wonderful humor. Some of the jokes from previous books make an appearance and being with these three feels like a warm hug right when you need it. I don't have much more to say about them that I haven't said in the previous reviews. If you loved them then, you'll love them here.

PLOT: Someone from Adam's past shows up and has Adam packing up Zee and Victor to go on the road (aka run away). While they're away, they stumble upon a murder mystery that takes up the majority of this shorter tale, before the big baddie returns near the end and sets us up for the final book in the series.

EMOTIONAL INTENSITY: There is no good/bad here. Sometimes I just want a low-investment entertainment read whereas other times a high-stakes 'I need a therapist to recover' is what I need.

1:5/low. While a little more angsty than the previous books in the series, this still has that special brand of ridiculous that keeps this as safe and entertaining.

CATHARTIC FULFILLMENT: Is the emotional journey worth it? Do I finish this book feeling that I've crested the wave of the climactic moment and everything has been settled, leaving me settled and fulfilled?

90%. I definitely didn't want it to end where it did, but it does make sense for setting us up for the next book.

Entertaining, sexy, formidable challenges again to face, and a wild ride for all involved. So happy to see them back!

Rating: 4.5🌈

No, our favorite triad, Adam the surprising non-human, Victor aka Fancy Fangs, and Zee the fabulous incubus, aren’t done yet!

After all the explosive and deadly events of Your Final Resting Place #7, where they vanquished the Big Bad and saved the SOS Hotel and Lost Ones as maybe the world, you’d think they’d be able to rest.

But Adam’s story isn’t finished. And his history is coming for him and those he loves.

So Adam does what he does best and runs. With Victor and Zee together on the road, destination unknown.

I really loved that their relationship has grown so that Adam trusts them with his highly problematic history and the danger that’s following them.

Of course, they encounter strange events and a few bodies with a murder to solve.

Entertaining, sexy, formidable challenges again to face, and a wild ride for all involved. So happy to see them back!

I absolutely adored the SOS Hotel series, and devoured each need addition as it was released. I thought the series was over – so imagine my surprise, and excitement, when I stumbled upon a new story. Obviously, the moment I stumbled upon SOS Hotel: On the Road, I jumped at it.

SOS Hotel: On the Road throws readers back into the wild world that I loved so much throughout the series. Although we are supposed to be at the happily ever after point of the story, new drama is thrown in to ensure more mayhem can play out. While some of the aspects felt like a repeat of what happened before – certain characters finding themselves in need of saving, certain characters keeping secrets – it was not enough to remove my enjoyment of the story. In fact, the simplicity and the knowledge of what is to come is part of the fun. It means you are guaranteed an entertaining read that will keep you hooked throughout. Add in that there was something new to deal with in this story – new supernatural creatures and new drama to battle – and I was hooked throughout. It made for the perfect quick read, and ensured I was happily invested in the world again.

All in all, this is well worth the read for fans of the series. This could have easily been an unnecessary add-on after the main story was finished, but if offered the perfect introduction to new events that allows fans a fun return to the world. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next part of the story.

Just when I thought Adam, Zee, and Victor had vanquished all of their enemies, a new threat popped up to kickstart a brand new adventure. This time Adam was the one running scared, and his flight took him on the road and into a new town that needed help from the heroes. I had a blast re-familiarizing myself with Zee, Adam, and Victor, and even though their quest took them out of SOS Hotel, that didn't dampen their energy at all. I thought the twists and turns of the werewolf murder investigation they got roped into were as zany and entertaining as ever, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing how everything played out. Relationship wise, Victor, Zee, and Adam were rock solid, even if Adam was keeping secrets about the real reason for their surprise "vacation". The three of them found plenty of stolen moments to reaffirm their chemistry, and I have to admit that I'm a particular fan of the way they tease and snark at each other all the time. By the time the trio were ready to wrap up their investigation and get the show on the road, Adam had confessed to the real reason they were headed as far away from SOS Hotel as their crappy van could take them. Looks like it's time to settle in for another wild ride, because this particular enemy has a personal grudge and isn't going to stop until one of them meets their end.

**I voluntarily read an ARC of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.

I would like to thank GRR for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.

✨✨✨✨✨✨M A N I F E S T A T I O N✨✨✨✨✨✨

🏩SOS HOTEL just keeps getting better and better!!! I LOVED THIS SO MUCH!!! Nash is such a talented writer and i'm always so very impressed by everything she puts out, but this series is pretty special and i sincerely cannot get enough of Adam, Zee and Victor!🐸

🐺SOS HOTEL: On the Road had me laughing so hard at times and giggling more often than not the whole way through. I'd highlighted so much joy that this installment locked 5 solid stars for that alone!✨

😈This was just soooooo much effervescent fun! Dynamic action, sweet and sincere love feelings, more supernatural mayhem, and ofc a murdery villain 2.0 that had me screaming for Book 9 before i was even done this one!🧛🩸

💓I can't get over how mint these characters are, still vibrant and hilarious after 8 books, continuously engaging, buoyant and endearing!! Looking forward to this series never ending, because it's such a boost of fun and flair and it never ceases to brighten my day with it's unique charm and hilarity! Supremely fabulous and i cannot wait to see what SOS MGMT gets up to next because i'm sure it'll be a riot and i'm here for all of it!🐲

Adam, Zee and Victor are back!
I’m so happy Final Resting Place wasn’t actually the end for them

When Adam’s less dead than expected brother Syros shows up, it inspires him to take his guys on an impromptu vacation…totally different than running away…💯

They end up heading north and seeking shelter at the No Tel Motel, not nearly as glamorous as the SOS Hotel. Which says something.

Because trouble always seems to find them, they end up wrapped up in trying to solve a murder in the local werewolf pack. And if that wasn’t enough the trouble they absolutely weren’t on the run from ends up following them

The boys are still working on their relationship, but they’ve come a long way - even if they do still struggle to remember Adam isn’t as helpless as he looks

While I missed Tom Collins - mostly absent from the story because he was left behind at the SOS - there were a bunch of new characters to meet, like the fabulous Zander, so their adventure on the road was still fun. There’s a sneak preview for the next book, and I think their new destination is going to be even more of a blast!

Thanks to GRR for the arc!
