The chilling story of the abduction of two teenagers, their escape, and the dark secrets that, years later, bring them back to the scene of the crime.

It’s senior-year spring break, and Noelle Meyer and Evan Sinclair have been kidnapped. Neither knows why they were chosen, only that they share a tragic past: Evan’s father got away with killing Noelle’s mother, effectively ruining her family when the death was ruled an accident.

Despite the connection that should have made them enemies, the teens instead unite to face their other common denominator—their abductors. Noelle and Evan survive one sadistic circumstance after another, eventually making a harrowing escape. But every happy ending comes at a price…

Years later, Evan, now a private investigator, revisits the crime when he learns it may be ongoing. He reaches out to Noelle for help, and they discover that the answers lie with a man known only as the Collector. To close their case and solve the ones that followed, Noelle and Evan must unmask this mysterious spectator—the only man who knows enough secrets to take their captors down.

...

Mia: While ATLR's is a complete standalone, it is set in Reno just as Bad Mother was, and there are a few (general) references to the case from that story. For that reason, I'd suggest reading Bad Mother first to plant yourself firmly in that world.

this book is creative and fascinating in the most immoral way possible.

i was a little worried going into this because the last MS romance thriller i read didnt engage me as much as i wanted to. but this one. wow. this one gripped me and didnt to let go.

the thing is, this is dark. perhaps a little too dark for my personal enjoyment. so i really wish the romance aspect of the novel was more prevalent to help balance out the depravity of the story. and even though it ends on a positive note, my overall reading experience was quite heavy and i felt like i needed some major cheering up after finishing this.

so definitely not a book for everyone. if you want something similar, but lighter in tone, i would recommend MSs other book, “once we were starlight.” but if you find sick and twisted stories interesting and enjoy searching for answers and hoping for justice, then this is the story for you!

DNF. This was too dark for me. I like psychological thrillers, but this was marketed as a romance & I did not know I was signing up for something so disgusting as reading about continuous rape or people’s body parts getting cut off. It bothered me a lot that it was rape of a virgin too. That made it more disturbing and really disgusting. This was a failure of the marketing team as mentioned in other reviews. They did not market this correctly or to the right people when it was being given as an ARC.

I think a big issue with this book was also how it dives right into the disturbing stuff. There is no character development or backstory, so I have no attachment to the characters. It felt like the movie SAW.

I know they eventually get away, because I skipped over 10 pages to where they got away & even at that part I still did not want to continue.

If you like super dark & twisted- you’ll probably enjoy it. Personally I prefer my thrillers to have twists and turns, but I don’t want to hear about teenagers being tortured. Maybe I’ll eventually try again, but probably not. I just expected something different.

So, you know that feeling of dread you get when you are really not liking much at all about a book but you want to know what happens at the end so you're basically torturing yourself?

I can't even say how many times I put down my kindle and verbally complained to the book gods saying 'OMG this is so MF boringgggg' - literally. So much I hated about this book.

Okay, so it's been an extremely long time since I've read anything from Mia Sheridan, I think the last book I read was Archer's Voice back in 2017. I didn't even know she wrote dark, thriller, suspense type books. When I clicked this as one of my choices for October Prime First reads I was completely under the impression that it was a romance novel.

After hearing some feedback, it was my understanding that this book was being referred to as Saw meets Hunger Games. A dark-romance, thriller, suspense, mystery novel. Well, hello- right in my wheelhouse. But no.

╰┈➤˗ˏˋ Our two main characters Noelle and Evan have both been abducted and wake up to find themselves locked in cages in a dark room. Sworn enemies because Leonard Sinclair - father to Evan is responsible for killing Noelle's mother after she allegedly broke into his home, being a scorned and obsessed woman after Sinclair broke off their affair.

Not only are the two MC's abducted, they quickly discover that it isn't random. Forced to play a game of 'this one loses a body part or you allow yourself to be "rented" ' in order to survive, they are being watched. They don't know by who or how many, but decide to band together , take the punishment that is doled out and attempt to escape whole and together.

⁀➴ˎˊ˗ ⚠️I want to highlight that this contains very dark themes including but not limited to r@ape, murder, torture etc. I never even do this because it is stated that the book is dark- however since I was under the impression that it was a romance, I'm thinking others may as well. I do want to say that the majority of these heinous acts are done behind closed doors and not on page- it is known r@pe occurs but there are no gory details.⚠️

Now, the watchers- we don't know who they are with the exception of 'The Collector' who is very intrigued with our two MC captives. This is very much a dark and devious game that is being played by very wealthy individuals. They abduct people, put them through all sorts of different mental and physical torture and place bets-on a winner I suppose.

This is about the first 20% of the book and so far-meh okay.

The next 80% of the book spans over the course of 7 years after the abduction, Noelle goes off to figure out her life, while Evan does the same. During this time they meet up from time to time having a strong trauma bond. Evan is now a P.I. and finally catches a break in the case 7 years later and needs Noelle's help. Together again, they dig for clues to get to the bottom of who kidnapped and tortured them, why and how many.

For me, I don't hand out 1 star ratings like candy, it means I couldn't find anything about the book I liked - to the point I hated it. I liked the premise of this book, but that's it. And for me, that's not enough.. anyone can have a great idea.. For this one, the execution sucked.

╰┈➤˗ˏˋ The most interesting character exits stage left around 20% - I found myself wishing I would turn the page and it would be a chapter for the collector , but alas it wasn't.

I was so disconnected from the two main characters , and I think that is because Sheridan didn't deliver early on. This was definitely a case of the story is all telling and no showing. It always felt so surface level to me- even being held in a cage. It was just going through the motions , I never felt connected to the characters or the story.

There was way more internal dialogue going on than actual dialogue. Super frustrating, the miscommunication trope is heavy.

⁀➴ˎˊ˗ The romance is agonizing and not in a good way, so frustratingly awkward and weird.

Instead of a third act break up because the two were not together, we get third act bullshit.. all the sudden the FMC is 10x more annoying and the miscommunication is more present... I think Sheridan was trying to create tension but it was heavy eye roll worthy.

Overall, when I read a suspense thriller I expect to be hooked .. and to have twists and turns to keep me entertained. I didn't get any of this... It didn't even feel like a thriller to me to be honest, it was some weird mash up of trauma romance that was so awkward and disconnected, and not because of the events they endured together, but because the characters are just poorly written - complete with the random tossed in

Put it this way, I was at 90% last night after speed reading the majority of the second half and my daughter came home from work and wanted to watch Harry Potter together and I tossed this to the side with 10% left without a second thought.

⁀➴ˎˊ˗ I was not moved to keep reading this. The ending was such a lack luster let down. There was no shock value.

The writing was poor- I think I saw another reviewer post that the word breath was used close to 200 times in the first 20% - imagine how many breaths were released that they didn't know they were holding in that time. LOL. I can't.

╰┈➤˗ˏˋ I think there's probably a ton of people that will enjoy this, but I've read too many books far too similar that are much better executed and for me this one just didn't deliver.

I've heard this is being called Saw meets Hunger Games?

╰┈➤KITTY KATS CRAZY ABOUT BOOKS

📚 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄 𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐒 📚 Is a dark full length, stand-alone suspenseful romance book, spoken in dual POV's.

When Mia started dropping those little teasers about this book, I knew I had to read it! It’s darker than she’s ever gone before, but not dark enough for my disturbed little heart that thrives within the dark tales authors weave.

It didn’t really delve into the darkness, for me it was glossed over, yes she was a virgin who was rented out, raped, but it wasn’t in vivid detail.

Captures had a choice either a body part was severed from the other captive being held beside their cage or that person too was rented out and something horrendous was done to them within a separate room, yet again, it was glossed over, we could only guess at what had happened.

For some this would be dark, for others it could’ve gone darker, a lot darker.

For me it missed that emotional attachment I was hoping to seek when it came to our heroine, I wanted to feel her fear, but yet again it was just out of reach.

Though it kept me captivated, the twists and turns came at me full force, one after the other that I didn't see coming.

Our heroine and hero find themselves waking up in the dark, in cages, though she's been there a bit longer than he has, their kidnapping isn't as random as they thought. But who's behind it? And why? These two were sworn enemies due to Evan's father shooting and killing Noelle's mother years previously during a breaking and entering of his father's property. The courts cleared his father.

This was similar to SAW, the parts where the captives woke up chained etc, theses two woke up in cages, streamed live to only the contestants, clever little gifts handed to them on their dinner trays, if they were clever enough they could aid them in escaping, but for others they weren’t so lucky.

We don't know who the watchers were but one man sticks out above the rest and he goes by the name 'The Collector' was he there to aid the kidnappers or was he playing his own sick game?

This definitely had me playing that guessing game, even though it fell a wee bit flat for me in parts I still overall enjoyed them teaming up and working together as a unit to solve the puzzle of their abduction..

✎𓂃“We leave here whole. We leave here together”

☆PSA!!
This book is DARK. It is SICK. It is INTENSE. I mean, we’re talking trigger warnings flying left, right, over, under, out my ass and back. These trigger warnings are there IMMEDIATELY:
↠Human Trafficking
↠Rape
↠Sexual Assault
↠Torture
↠Captivity
↠Kidnapping

Nothing is described in huge detail sexual assault-wise, basically things are said matter-of-factly or alluded to, but they exist and the horror is still real. If any of the above things are too much for you, def don’t read! 🙅🏻‍♀️

☆Quick Summ:
Noelle Meyer (ayooo love when I see my last name lol) and Evan Sinclair, are enemies for a very good reason: Evan’s father murdered Noelle’s mother and got away with it. But during their senior year of high school, these two are horribly forced to work together to find a way to escape their abductors. They’re caged. They have to make disgusting decisions to inflict torture on themselves, or on the other. It is completely DISTURBING, but Noelle and Evan will forever be linked by this shared experience. Years later, they work together to solve the mess of who truly abducted and tortured them.

☆My Thoughts:
Mia Sheridan REALLY throws you into it right away. She really said, “imma do everything I can to turn you off in the first 20%”! The book begins with Noelle and Evan in their captivity, and while it was so beyond disturbing, I couldn’t stop reading. I knew there’d be an “other side” with a flash-forward at some point due to the synopsis, I just needed to keep reading to get there! Yes, it’s some unspeakable stuff. Yes, it’s not for everyone.

The other half of the plot deals with their romantic entanglement which I honestly enjoyed. It’s muddy and messy–everything these two characters went through BROKE my heart. But they find something in each other that is seemingly both unexplainable and comforting. I liked how they formulated a code to communicate with each other during their captivity, taking childhood songs and switching out words with what they were really trying to say. Clever, and prevented the sickos watching from figuring it all out.

There are a couple twists, and a HUGE trope at the 50% mark. Maybe I should have seen it coming, but my jaw still dropped. Others have commented that it felt unnecessary, but I felt it just added to the whole murkiness of Noelle and Evan’s lives.

I overall really enjoyed this thriller. Parts had me on the edge of my seat, parts had me thinkin I was a pro detective sus-ing out the villains LOL. 🕵🏻 Sheridan drops clues throughout that had me evil laughing like I had finally solved it all…and then NOPE I was wrong!

☆Pacing and POVs:
After sitting on this review for a bit, I feel like my initial 4 stars might be a little generous. Maybe a 3.5, rounded up? While the first 20% flew by for me, the rest of the book felt like it lagged a lot more. I’m not sure if it was the time jump, or that the plot wasn’t moving along fast enough, but I wanted that same, edge-of-my-seat thrill I had in the beginning throughout the rest of the book.

This is written in multiple 3rd person POVs: Noelle, Evan, The Collector, and two later captives Grim and Cedro. I’m not sure the last two were needed, possibly could have been told from The Collector’s POV to simplify.

☆The Characters and the Romance:
Tbh, The Collector was the most intriguing. I loved seeing his POV as a puppet master throughout the story. He’s devious, twisted, sooo dark gray.

Evan’s father is a POS. That is all I’ll say about that!

Noelle and Evan’s romance made a lot of sense to me! They were enemies, kidnapped and thrown together, and went through the most horrifying things that NO ONE should ever know. They have a shared experience that is so messy–the only people who would ever understand is each other. Their feelings are caught up in using each other to forget, to feel, and then what is truly real. It’s wholly contradictory, but I loved seeing how they had to work on themselves individually and together! Unfortunately though, once they’re adults in the timeline, we have the dreaded miscommunication trope. Noelle, come on. Smh.

☆My Final Thoughts:
Again, take a good look at the trigger warnings if you decide to read this one, just to be better prepared. I came here bc my GR friend Sarai rated this high and I totally get it!! I feel like I have a black heart tho and nothing really phases me 🫠

☆Quotes:
✎𓂃“You’ve been rented.”

✎𓂃“Rental request. She was nothing more than a rental now. Like a car, or a bike, or a hotel room. A thing to use temporarily.”

✎𓂃“Werewolves have fangs. But they also have pelts. I hate your guts. Go fuck yourself.” (LOVED this poem Noelle wrote for one of her renters)

✎𓂃“If all the little snowflakes were candy bars and milkshakes, oh, if I the little snowflakes, were candy love and milkshakes, oh what a you that would be.” IYKYK 🫶

✎𓂃“All he'd known was that he both wanted to run away from her and the feelings she stirred up in him, and simultaneously couldn't bear the thought of letting her go.”

✎𓂃“He didn't function well with a broken heart, and Noelle Meyer was the only one capable of giving him one.”

Mia Sheridan, the New York Times bestseller author who wrote Archer’s Voice, the book that everyone begs me to read at least once a week, was not what I expected.

I promised a long time ago to read that book and, since I obviously didn't, I was properly excited. And the joke is on me because hear me out: I haven't read it (yet) because I was afraid it was too much for me.
So when I found out I was approved for the arc of her new book - described as equally twisted as her previous stories -, I jumped in it prepared for the most gross, devious, disturbing romance anyone could ever come up with.
What I’m hearing is the universe laughing at me, while I look at reviews other people wrote, wondering if we read the same book.

I can describe All the Little Raindrops only as what I’d have liked it to be: darker and faster.
The slow narrative would have been justified by unthinkable things I don't feel to write down, while this version is in desperate need of cutting down chapters.
On the other hand, the story is just… meh.

That said, I blame the marketing people: if you give an illusion of the book you’re commercializing, readers will not be pleased. The ones who know the author and her works may try again in the future, but new readers won't be so understanding.

All The Little Raindrops is dark. If you don’t do well with dark psychological fiction, more-so than your average thriller, then this is one to avoid. This goes into full blown horror territory right from its opening, reminiscent of Saw! The Collector and the sick, twisted games for the captives are very much like Jigsaw. This would be interesting if it was made into a horror/thriller movie or TV series. It’s written in a very gripping way and is fast-paced. Especially during the first quarter of the book where the main characters are held captive as teenagers. Even when the story slows down in parts as it progresses to the present day for the characters, it’s still engaging.

Two eighteen year olds are kidnapped during senior-year Spring break, Noelle Meyer and Evan Sinclair. They don’t know who is holding them captive, but they do know that a tragedy links them together. Evan’s Dad had gotten away with killing Noelle’s Mother, it ruined her family’s lives when her Mother’s death was ruled an accident.
Despite this connection, the two teens grow close to face their captors and plan to break free. This isn’t going to prove easy, as this sadistic group have cameras throughout their lair. The gruesome goings-on are being live-streamed out.
Noelle and Evan make a harrowing escape, but years later are still haunted by their horrific ordeal.
Years later, Evan is now working as a private investigator and revisits the case of his abductors, as there is evidence to suggest that this is still on-going. He reaches out to Noelle, and they soon discover that the answers lie with one mysterious man, known as The Collector. Will they be able to unmask who he is and finally solve the mystery behind who captured them? And why it is still happening?

tw:// rape; the scene isn’t detailed thank goodness, but the events leading up to it and the aftermath are discussed.

This was my October Amazon First Reads pick!
The relationship between Noelle and Evan is so interesting, do they really have true feelings for each other romantically or is what they are feeling only a byproduct of their shared trauma? This mix of genres was interesting but worked well, the author can clearly write! 4 Stars

4.5 stars! This was SO GOOD!!!! I’m predicting it now, this book is going to blow up. You really get two stories in one here. You have a twisted and brutal psychological thriller that is SO unique and well thought out. I loved it, I was hooked right from the start. Then you also have an underlying romantic thread that weaves flawlessly through the chaos of our main story. This book was near perfect and talk about a crazy ending. I couldn’t have predicted this one even if I had a 600x zoom magnifying glass to inspect each detail. Well done, Mia Sheridan! Only difficulty I had was that it was a tad longer than it maybe needed to be and some themes/particulars were a bit far fetched.

First and foremost, this book is dark . If you can't handle Saw and Hostel levels of demented, this one's not for you. Now that that's out of the way, I am obsessed. I was hooked from the beginning and Mia Sheridan had an impeccable way of keeping you interested in every aspect of the story. I don't even like romance and I found myself sobbing and rooting for these two! The pacing is wonderful and I was never bored. Everything about this was perfect. Highly recommend.

This book is an unforgettable, heart-wrenching journey that took me through a whirlwind of emotions, profound sadness, anger, and, eventually, hope. It explores incredibly dark themes, including kidnapping, rape, human trafficking, and torture, with sensitivity and raw honesty. The writing is so evocative and immersive that I couldn’t tear myself away, even when the story became almost unbearably intense.

Despite its heavy subject matter, this story is ultimately about resilience, healing, and the strength it takes to rise after being broken. The twists and revelations are masterfully woven, keeping me gripped and emotionally invested in every page. If you’re able to handle the triggers, I would strongly recommend this beautifully crafted and deeply moving book. It’s a story that will stay in my mind for sure.

This story is DARK. Like, truly dark. It dives into just how f*cked up the reality of the dark web is. I wouldn't necessarily classify this as a horror — but there are a lot of horror themes in the book that a lot of typical mystery/thriller lovers might not be able to stomach (which is totally understandable!).

The first half of the story is stomach-turning, however, you just have to know how it will play out. I was gripped in and rooting for our MCs.

There is a bit of a love story mixed in that adds a lot of depth to the story and their traumas. Many don't like a particular trope that happens in the middle (which I do have one qualm with in this story, but I don't want any spoilers in the review so I won't mention it), but I honestly felt it added a great deal to their narrative.

The chunk of the book dedicated to their relationship was a bit too long in my opinion though, and I think it took away from the thriller portion a bit.

I didn't have that edge-of-the-seat thriller vibe for the last half of the story, but when the pieces clicked together I was piqued and shocked. They connected things that I couldn't figure out myself throughout the book and I always give points for that!

The ending was well done and I feel this will be on my mind for the next few days! It wasn't the absolute best thriller, but if you can stomach all the trigger warnings it is worth a read!

Captivity! Cages! Dark Web! Torture! Depravity!

I went into this book blind and barely got through the first few chapters. Had I been reading it instead of listening to the audio I highly doubt that I would have been able to maintain it. This is definitely not a book for the meek or mild - it is jaw dropping - it is horrific - it takes a strong mental proclivity just to get through the beginning of this book. This to me is a real horror story. You can keep your imaginative vampires and zombies and Frankensteins that are called horror - to me it is the possible, the real, what could happen, what is happening, that is the real horror stories. This book is a horror story!

So why continue reading - or listening to this? I was mesmerized. From the very first this story grabbed me, the outcome screaming to be heard. Who would take on this subject? Who could make me feel this way? How will this story ever end?

This story not only takes you through that horrible beginning, but it takes you years beyond. It gives you the beastly beginning, then years of agony and understanding and repair, and then finally an acceptable ending. Taken as a whole, this for me, was a 5 star book. Appalling as the beginning of the story was it did come to an acceptable conclusion showing that only strength and conviction of both body and mind can lead you to freedom.

Again I caution you, this is not a book for everyone, only those with a strong constitution will be able to work their way through the beginning of this book. It does leave it's mark. Even after the ending you will be thinking of what you read - the horrors of the human race.

Not a review, but a trigger warning/disclaimer, which I think this book really needs. It's dark. And by dark, I mean, rape of a minor and people getting their body parts cut off. Think SAW with pedophiles. I think it could be quite triggering for some. There are a lot of good reviews, so it might be great for some, I just think people should be aware before going in.

All the Little Raindrops is a very hard book to swallow. The theme is not east. There are a lot of TW. So please be mindful.

Do I like it? Not really. The twist and turn on the plot is disturbing. Miss Sheridan gives her all into the story. The ending is abrupt. Not enought closure.

**ARC provided in exchange for an honest review**

All the Little Raindrops is about two abducted teenagers, Noelle and Evan, who team up despite a shared tragic past. After escaping, years later, Evan, now a private investigator, reconnects with Noelle to solve the ongoing case. They discover the key is a person called the Collector, who holds vital information about their abductors.

“They were like wounded warriors who had been through the bloodiest of battles together.”

All the Little Raindrops is a gripping romantic suspense that had me hooked with its twists and turns from start to finish. Mia Sheridan kicks off the story with a bang, plunging readers right into the action. I was totally invested in the characters and the plot, eager to unravel the mystery of Noelle and Evan's kidnapping.

“He craved her. He needed the solace only she offered. But she also triggered him in a way no one else could.”

As a fan of Mia Sheridan, I must say she knows how to create suspense, although I did feel that the romantic side could've been fleshed out more. Still, I thoroughly enjoyed the book and was excited to join the characters in their journey of discovery. Everything came together seamlessly in the end, a testament to the author's skill in crafting a well-rounded story.

Well... I liked reading this.

It might be very triggery for some readers. Horrible things are being done to our darlings in that place. And I kinda had the feeling that I've read the exact same kidnappy thing before from Mia? I suffer from Bookalzheimers, but wasn't that what happened in Where the Blame Lies? Well, obviously it's not the same story, but the same kind of kidnap vibe. But pff... I still loved reading this.
At first we get this very sad and dangerous and dark captivity part with Noelle and Evan trying to escape. Which they finally do. But we still don't know what happened and why?!
And then we jump a bit in time.
The haven't seen in each other in years.
But new things have come to light and now they're detectiving their way through the rest of the book.
I really enjoyed that. The second part a bit more than the first part - obviously - I didn't like to see them suffer!
I loved the detecting and mystery part and I loved the sweet private scenes.
Great story!

I wouldn't mind seeing this as a Netflix thing one day.

ALL THE LITTLE RAINDROPS was such a great book. Dark and intense and suspensy and dangerous and sad and heartbreaking and hopeless and sweet and adorable and exciting and mysterious and ... all the things!! GO READ IT!

This was my first Mia Sheridan book, and really enjoyed reading this. I had a hard time putting it down!! Two teenagers who have a traumatizing past connection are abducted and held captive. They have to work together to figure out how to escape, and who is their captor. They find out a lot of family secrets being kept from them along the way.

I saw that someone compared this book to Hunger Games meets Saw, and I would agree. This is more in the horror genre in my opinion, it’s pretty disturbing. It was very unique, and very twisty storyline with a romance subplot.

A character has my name, so I always love that. 🤣

Trigger warnings: abduction, captivity, rape, torture/torture of minors, dismemberment, blood. 🥵

✨ He craved her. He needed the solace only she offered. ✨

I’m in complete awe. All the Little Raindrops was unexpected in the most powerful way.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“To those who have crawled from wreckage and refused to live a meek life in the aftermath”

Little did I know the dedication serves a strong message for Evan and Noelle.

Heartbreaking. Brutal. Beautiful. A raw combination of all three that will leave you in such a surreal state.

All the Little Raindrops is a heart-wrenching but beautiful romantic suspense that will pull your heartstrings and make you connect with Evan and Noelle. Surrounded by mystery, the harrowing journey of Evan and Noelle speaks to the strength of human connection. While broken, Evan and Noelle prove that even in the darkest of times, hope and empathy fuel resilience.

“She was all that he saw. He loved that night only in the present, and it helped patch together his wounded soul.”

My heart weeped for Evan and Noelle, so deeply. But, what I love most about Mia’s writing is just how unique and brutally powerful her stories are. Evan and Noelle are wounded warriors, coming through their most heartbreaking and unspeakable battles with more than their emotional and physical traumas, with a connection to each other that nothing can break.

After reading this, I’m left raw. Full of all the emotions. I’m awe of Mia’s writing, Evan and Noelle.

Dark and harrowing, All the Little Raindrops serves as a reminder that love conquers even the darkest of experiences.

All the Little Raindrops is stunning and brutal story of survival, connection, refuge. A standout read for this year.

A very dark, twisted and emotionally intense thriller story. The beginning reminded me somewhat of the Saw movies.

Read carefully, there are many content warnings for this story, including violence, gore, rape, kidnapping and many more.

“But the purpose was always to see how much another person would be willing to suffer in order not to be the cause of someone else’s.”

“We leave here whole. We leave here together.” The mantra Evan and Noelle clung to in those most desperate of times while locked away in cages in a dark room. Meanwhile, all the sick perverted people watched them from the deep dark web menacingly - waiting for their chance to rent them.

Wow I cannot tell you how Fking good this book was! You’ll be hooked instantly as the story begins with the two main characters locked in cages. What happens next is nothing short of amazing suspense and horror.

This would have been a 5 star read - but it did get a little boring for me around and leading up to part two. The story does pick back up though so just hold on.

Wow them twists. Didn’t see not one of them coming. While this is my first time reading a book by this author - I quickly ordered her other thriller - I must say, PLEASE keep writing more thrillers because you have such a way with words. Such a way of building that suspense. If you like romance books she has a bunch that I bet are really good reads - if you like romance. I don’t prefer romance reads so I’m just assuming based off this book.

I’ll never be able to forget this book.

i normally go into books completely blind, but i’ve read mia sheridan before so i had some sort of an expectation… this book however, was so different from anything i have ever read from her. it was completely jarring. i wasn’t really expecting the depth of violence that this book had, so i would definitely read through all the trigger warnings before starting this book!!

i really liked the tone mia sheridan set at the beginning. i was immediately pulled into the conflict. the first half was strong, well-paced, with high emotions that kept me hooked. the storyline promised a great finish, but that’s where it fell short. the ending felt too dragged out, and some themes seemed too far-fetched. the romance was well woven in, but for two people who have been held in captivity, i just couldn't feel the chemistry between them.

3.5 stars. it has potential, but i won’t lie, part two was really boring.

An October 2023 Amazon First Read that I've only just found time to read. Thankfully, it was a freebie because it was way beneath expectations. A dark, hideous story that in my opinion was written more for the shock-value and not very well at that with a mundane and wearisome ending.

I've had an up and down relationship with Sheridan's books for awhile, so I was halfway prepared for what plainly exhausted, shocked and disgustingly disappointed me.

DNF @10%. Don’t like spoilers from others but be aware that a rape scene happens seemingly out of nowhere. Not quite what I’d expect from the plot line and certainly not fitting a title “All the little Raindrops”. I live and learn
