Absolutely phenomenal!
This book is amazing! Fiona once again proves why she is a master of her craft with this tale of Keane and Elsie. Brought together with plans of revenge, things will slowly change the more time the two spend together. He will save her from a marriage she doesn’t want to Laird Gunn but she really doesn’t want to be his prisoner either. There are some very interesting moments between the two on their way to his castle and I love these moments play out. Returning home will have Elsie seeing a side to Keane she wasn’t sure existed and it is this man she will come to love. But there is trouble brewing with not only Laird Gunn but Elsie’s father Laird Munro. The two aren’t ready to give up on the alliance and power that Gunn’s wedding to Elsie would bring and it will bring danger to Keane’s doorstep. But Elsie will show her true strength when it really counts and I love how she stands up for herself! In the end, Lairds Gunn and Munro are defeated and it will leave Keane and Elsie free to find their happily ever after!

This is book 8 of the Morgan Clan series and is one of the best!! Having witnessed his father Laird Mackay being murdered before his very eyes by Laird Gunn, Keane sets out to get his revenge. The plan is to abduct Laird Gunn’s bride-to-be Elsie and kill her to make him suffer as Keane did when his father was murdered. Unable to bring himself to harm her but still wanting his revenge Keane forces Elsie to marry him instead making it impossible for Laird Gunn to marry Elsie and therefore thwarting the alliance planned by Laird Gunn and Elsie’s father Laird Munro through her marriage to Laird Gunn. This plot is well developed and keeps your interest as it weaves through kidnapping, revenge, broken oaths, lies and deceptions and romance. You won’t want to miss this one!!!

J'ai adoré ma lecture.
Je me suis attachée aux personnages.
Elsie a de la suite dans les idées et m'a beaucoup fait rire au début du livre. J'aime aussi la façon dont elle se découvre pour finalement oser tenir tête et dire ce qu'elle pense.
Keane possède un pouvoir qui apporte une touche comique dans les interactions des personnages principaux. Mais qui par la suite permet de sonder l'évolution des sentiments de chacun.
J'ai aimé le développement émotionnel entre nos héros et voir qu'une vraie connexion se met en place entre eux. Bien entendu nous avons le droit à 2 ou 3 scènes de smut (un peu rapprochées à mon goût) mais elles ne prennent pas le dessus sur l'histoire.
J'ai vraiment passé un bon moment de lecture.

Amazing adventure
What a wonderful story to read! The adventure was intriguing and exciting. The characters were awesome. It's A shame that some parents treated their children like livestock! I am so glad I didn't like back then for it to happen to me! Thanks for sharing your story.

Kidnapped but happy
Keane is avenging is fathers death. Elspeth is forced to marry a wicked Laird. What a great story over overcoming hatred and learning how to cope and be happy.
