Rate this book
He'd do anything to protect her...even if it means disappearing forever.

When my brother’s best friend took me under his wing after my family was killed, the last thing I expected was to fall for him.
He was older, more experienced—and to keep people from asking questions, he was also my fake step-brother.
Catching feelings for the man who’d become my protector wasn’t supposed to happen.
Until it did.
And he fell for me too.
But I should have known better than to believe in fairytales. Because just six months after he proposed, Evan vanished into thin air.
Heartbroken and confused, it isn’t until a year later that I find a clue that brings me face to face with the man I once knew.
Only, he’s not the same man I fell in love with.
He’s cold. Powerful.
Dangerous.
And even though he knows me better than anyone, he acts as if we’re strangers.
Could the man I fell for be hiding under this new mask? Or did he die the day he disappeared?

Those journal entries made it impossible for me. I cannot fathom why we’re introduced to the full adult male lead as a person who writes “Yay!” in his diary, only to be presented with someone entirely different for the rest of the book.

Simply put... wow!

I opened up this book thinking I was going to read just a chapter or two before I went on to be more productive... and pretty soon I found myself drawn into this world of intrigue and dangerous secrets that I absolutely could not step away from. I had to devour this book from start to finish--- productivity completely forgotten, and I have no regrets!

I don't want to say too much and give away anything... this story is super complex with so many secrets coming out little by little as the story goes on and it's those secrets coming out that make it such an enjoyable read. There were so many things in this book that I'm not usually a huge fan of--- morally grey MMC, forbidden romance, etc... and yet, it absolutely worked, and I found myself loving absolutely every single second of it. While it was certainly quite different than my usual reads, Evan and Addie's story drew me in, and I couldn't get enough.

While this is the first book in the new Kings of Eden Falls series, you might recognize some familiar characters from the previous series (Eden Falls Academy). This can definitely be enjoyed as a standalone just fine though. It also had me very much looking forward to what will come next in the series... I can't wait!

Hide Away With You is a closed-door romance, but definitely leans more towards the PG-13 side of that. The kisses are quite passionate and descriptive but fade to black before anything beyond kisses happens on the pages.

**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.

Hey I loved seeing the other couples and what they were all up to now!

Also loved the storyline, very intriguing and interesting

My only problem was it seemed a tad bit unrealistic at times. anyway still liked it. I loved their love and how strong it was.

also though I felt like Ian liked her WAY too much 😭😭 like that was NOT platonic friend love that was totally flirting

also I wish we got more book time of them together as a couple. like that was very quick at the end it rushed through... we got no couple stuff like y'know couple banter and all that would normally be there. which was kinda disappointing.

still though loved them.

I was really excited to read this ARC of 'Hide Away With You', and Judy Corry did not disappoint.

This super sweet novel gave me all the feels and kept me on the edge of my seat.

I was somewhat conflicted because I knew who Addie would end up with, but I wanted her to end up with someone else. But that could be because I immediately fell in love with Ian's character.

It was a solid 4 star read. My only criticism is it was SUPER sweet (which I loved) but then it broke away from that feeling by introducing a particular word. It took me out of the story and threw me a bit.

My Favorite Quote: “Just rest your head against me and go wherever you need to,” Ian whispered in a soothing tone. I’ll be here when the song ends.” - Hide Away With You - ARC - Judy Corry.

Let me start by saying that the chapters that were made of Evan's journal entries.... were THE BEST PARTS OF THIS BOOK!
They were so fun and jam-packed full of juicy bits that give you butterflies! I just LOVE reading from the main male character's POV, and this journal thing was absolutely unique and amazing. I loved hearing Evan's thoughts and it was interesting, too, because it was from years ago, when Evan and Addison were first introduced and then getting to know one another! Usually authors on Amazon just write the whole book in chronological order, but Judy Corry thinks way outside the box with these journal entries of his and paints the picture from two timelines: past (Evan's POV) & present (Addie's POV). Seriously neat.
Evan slowly falling in love with Addie and having to check himself to make sure he wasn't jeopardizing their safety and well-being was just addicting to read. ☺️

Basically the first like 50% of the book is my favorite, and then when Addie gets to Italy, it gets kind of meh: cringey dialogue and the storyline kind of drags on.

There was a lot that went into this story and I really appreciate this book, but there were so many cringey parts that made me roll my eyes and think, "am I reading a YA book right now?"
Like, the storyline and is actually kind of deep and interesting, and the plot is intense, but then it's interrupted by kiddie/cringe dialogue & it's disappointing.
It's really hard to rate this book because while I liked the trope, the execution was a bit.

TLDR: Evan's journal entries were the BOMB🩵 and this trope was interesting! Didn't enjoy the cringey dialogue from several characters, including Addison, but I'm still glad I read this book.

“I’d tasted what life could be like without Evan. I’d lived it this past year. And living half a life with half a heart wasn’t something I wanted to do.”

The Eden Falls characters are growing up and the hints of Evan and Addie’s story over the course of the YA series finally come to fruition in this brand new series by Judy Corry that can stand alone.

Evan has been Addie’s protector for years and I wasn’t expecting the danger and intrigue that persisted throughout these pages. In the ultimate effort to find Evan, Addie finds a journal, reliving some of the best times of her life, and piecing together clues, which leads to some perilous situations and I was interested in how it would turn out. With hidden identities and a treacherous family “business,” this brother’s best friend, he-falls-first story totally captured my attention and I flew through the book. These characters are rock-solid and their feverish relationship has the vibe of being forbidden and extremely swoony, which helps shape this fascinating mystery.

I’m eager to see where this series will go and I loved dipping my toes in a darkish, morally gray, mafia romance.

Content: The romance is closed-door and fades to black, but the lead up is PG-13 with passionate kissing/make outs and some innuendo. There is also some mild+ violence.

Hide Away With You completely took me by surprise — simply put… wow 💗

I picked this up thinking I’d read a chapter or two and ended up devouring it in one sitting. The story pulls you in with layers of secrets, intrigue, and slow reveals that make it impossible to stop reading 💗 Everything unfolds bit by bit, and that buildup is what makes it so addictive.

This was really something — morally grey MMC, forbidden vibes — and it worked so well. Evan and Addie’s connection was intense, emotional, and had me fully invested in their story 💗

It works perfectly as a standalone, but knowing this is the start of a new series has me very excited for what’s coming next 💕 The romance is closed-door, but the chemistry is still strong and satisfying.

⭐ 5-star read — gripping, emotional, and impossible to put down 💗

I’ve loved other books I’ve read by Judy Cory, but this one just wasn’t for me. While it was fade to black, there was so much more focus on the physical than other books I’ve read from her. The kisses were very steamy, and the kissing scenes lasted longer, with more innuendo and talk of desires than I’m comfortable with. I also just didn’t connect with the main characters in the second half of the book. The first half I enjoyed the dynamic between the two, but the second half fell flat for me. I also haven’t read many mafia books, so it just might not be my thing. I’m sure others could enjoy this book, but it just wasn’t my favorite. I might try the second book in the series and see if it was just a one off thing for me.

Addie and Evan’s love story felt meant to be 💫—the kind of once-in-a-lifetime connection that makes you believe in soulmates. Their chemistry was real, their history added weight to every glance and moment, and the emotional beats between them were heartwarming. 💔💕

📚 Tropes you’ll find:

Second Chance Romance ♻️

Small Town Secrets 🌲

Tragic Past 😢

Childhood Friends to Lovers 👫

Hidden Pain + Healing Journey 🩹

While I wanted to fall completely in love with this story, there were a few things that held it back. The biggest struggle for me was the lack of story development—especially around why Evan left. His decision felt rushed and under-explained, making a key emotional plot point hard to believe. 😕 And while Addie started strong, her character seemed to stall toward the end. Her lack of growth and self-awareness started to wear on me, and by the final chapters, I found myself growing frustrated. 😔

The abrupt ending didn’t help either. It felt like the book was building toward something big… and then it just stopped. No real closure, no satisfying resolution, and not enough exploration of the deeper themes it teased.

Still loving this and thinking about it. I’ve been waiting for this book forever and it did not disappoint. I think it’s my new favorite Judy Corry. 🥰Hide Away With Me is a beautiful love story wrapped up in a bow. It made my heart so happy. Evan and Addie’s story has been evolving over several books. Now, we get an entire book about them. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Where is Evan? Why did he leave? Who is he really? God Bless Addie. It’s been an entire year since Evan’s disappearance. Since his cryptic voicemail. Addie has just been going through the motions of life trying not to feel. It’s just too much. Everything was perfect. She and Evan were about to get married. Oh my…This book is intense. It was thoughtful, heart wrenching, lovely. You will be empathetic, curious, nervous, relieved, maybe crying-i did- and literally SUCH a great HEA! All of the Eden Falls characters are beautifully and carefully written. We know them. They have their own stories and places within one another’s lives (and their own books.) Even if you have not read about each of the characters you will definitely want to. I knew about Evan and Addie going in. I have not read all of the books but you don’t have to have read them all to enjoy this book. *I promise!* The writer has such a familiar feeling writing style. Like I said, it’s like we know these characters. Judy stays true to herself in each of her books. I do love her YA romance. But, I am equally excited and looking forward to reading more of these adult romances. Fans of the author’s work will recognize her closed door romance style. Hide Away With Me has a few fade to black moments but in my opinion well deserved moments, and beautifully written. You will enjoy this one. Read it asap! Judy won the Swoonworthy Award for a reason. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

HIDE AWAY WITH YOU
review

I think the ideas are so very interesting, the twin thing, the mafia family, and the he-is-missing-and-she-never-stops-looking-storyline - but all of it together in the book just rubbed me the wrong way. It is too much in my opinion, and for me it is misplaced.
*slight spoilers from here on*
To be honest, I was probably rooting more for Addie and Ian, even though I KNEW they aren't even an option. But outside of their memories, I don't think Evan does a lot to deserve Addies devotion. I also don't like the Lia-situation...this is not necessary, and feels cruel to do to Addie. What icks me the most is he could have cleared all of it with a talk. Instead she has to go through all of this hardship...and sorry, but I don't think the guy is worth it.

Tropes:
- mafia
- second chance
- opposites attract
- good girl x "bad" Boy
- dual PoV

Hooked from the start

This book drew me in and had me pretty hooked from the start. I empathized with Addie as she pined for her missing fiancé and ached to know what happened to him. In between it all, I loved getting good glimpses into their love and the buildup of their relationship. That being said, the end did feel a bit anticlimactic, and while there were some more heated scenes, nothing got graphic and everything was fade-to-black. The end was satisfying, and I enjoyed the story as a whole.

Always a fan of Judy Corry’s books! This story was a little out of the ordinary and approached romance in a unique way. I appreciated the authors time and attention to crafting Addie and Evan’s romance in such an unconventional way! I can’t really say too much without giving spoilers! The characters are easy to like and the story kept me hooked until the final pages! This story was sweet and will really have you rooting for that happily ever after that Judy Corry’s books always deliver!

“He’d made me believe in forever.”

Hide Away With You might just be my all time favorite Judy Corry book, and I’ve read quite a few! If you’re looking for an emotional, swoon-worthy, and suspenseful second chance romance, this book is worth the read! I cannot tell you enough just how much I love Evan and Addie! I have been waiting so patiently for their book and it definitely did not disappoint!

Throughout the entire book, Addie goes through some difficult moments as she tries to understand and figure out where the love of her life disappeared to. She has lost all contact with him and has no idea where to begin searching. Throughout the book, Addie works with her friends to try and piece together what happened to him. My heart ached for her.

Due to dangerous threats to him and his family, Evan does everything he can to protect those he loves, including leaving Addie behind. He genuinely cares and loves Addie so much and did what he thought would keep her safe.

When the two reunite after a year of not seeing each other secrets are revealed and second chances occur. These two characters are so perfect for each other. There are so many romantic moments and journal entries in this story. I genuinely these characters and the way their romance played out!

I can’t wait to read the next book!!

This was the perfect book to join me on my tropical vacation! I loved how every chance these two got, something was always stopping them. I also find a liking to books that switch perspectives often, but not over excessively. Anyways, definitely give this read a shot!!

Really good beginning. Liked the love story and the intrigue. But the end just seemed wave the magic wand and make it all better now. Meh. Not that I liked the bad things that were magically fixed but like. How realistic is that?????

I might always be generous with my ratings and this might be one but I really loved this book! I rushed through 200 pages in one sitting and finished the book in three days! I was looking for a no spice small town romance and hey I wasn’t expect the word mafia to pop up in this book it definitely filled my craving even if it wasn’t what I was expecting! As soon as I read the first 40 pages I decided I was going to read the series before! Now I have ordered the next book and the book for the series before this!!! Can’t wait!!

I was lucky enough to get a ARC of this book and I’m so kicking myself for not realising it was a spin off of Eden Falls Academy. I know you can read this as a standalone but I am a sucker for knowing everything about everything so after one chapter of reading Hide away with you I decided to go back and read Eden Falls Academy. I really wish I read them all sooner because when I finally got up to hide away with you, I devoured the whole book in a day. This is an amazing book and the first time I have read a mafia romance I just might have to read more now. Very excited to see where the kings of Eden Falls series takes us next!
