The Dandelion Tree is told in three stories.

Book 1 follows one man's journey as he struggles to come to terms with the trauma that has reshaped his life. Seeking refuge in his mind, he retreats into a memory of a tree from his childhood called The Dandelion Tree which holds the key to understanding his life.

In Book 2 it is Britain 2034 and overtime for married couples is banned, there is enforced viewing of family television (much of it repeats of old shows from the sixties and seventies), monitored family meal-times and a coming of age where twenty-five year-olds are automatically assigned a spouse by the state computer if they have failed to marry. Only the Overtime Underground network resists. Many live in fear of the Family Protection Agency, a special police division enforcing the strict legislation that has been introduced to protect the family unit. Combining dark humour with a vision of the future that inverts the classic dystopian nightmare of Orwell's 1984.

Book 3 is a chillingly addictive journey into the world of brain manipulation. A shimmering orb is brought into being that expands out destroying the Earth. Inside the Orb is paradise, a beautiful, sun-drenched, lush environment where humanity and nature fuse and beauty, love and hope are woven into the landscape.

"Ambitious"
Publishers Weekly

"Reminiscent of the surrealist literary experiments of James Joyce's Finnegan's Wake but blessedly readable. Insanely ambitious, startlingly odd, boldly conceived, and executed with tremendous confidence. One of the most extraordinary novels I have ever read"
R.N.Morris

"One of the most imaginative novels I've ever read"
Risingshadow

"Moving and lyrical, original and hypnotic”

“A Michelin starred linguistic meal, a real neo-modernist triumph”
Juxtabook

“Blurring the lines between reality and alternate reality, with a bit of a love story in there and an extremely imaginative and compelling premise, this engaged my mind in a wonderful way”
Liz Loves Books

“Venture into places quite extraordinary”
Cheryl M-M Book Blog

“Sharp-toothed satire is a writer's greatest weapon, and it's used here to excellent effect”
Murder Mayhem and More

“A richness and abundance of imagination and originality, beauty of imagery, tenderness, vividness and page after page of surprise and variety”

“Linguistically this is a powerfully done novel, with exquisite prose and an interesting psychological premise that raises strong questions about the power of internal cognition”
The Compulsive Reader

“A must for everyone's bucket-list if you are looking for a totally unique experience”
