This craft book was written for writers who want to enter contests, but it doesn't stop there. A fabulous read for newbie writers, an excellent review for those who've been at it for a while. I particularly enjoyed chapters 8-17, the chapters on novel craft, but the editing portion is a must read for writers new to the industry. The author makes the information "easy listening," and I enjoyed her writing style. Loved the takeaways at the end of each chapter.
Ellen has written a fantastic book to help improve your skills in the competitive world of contest writing. Her advice is relatable and informative, and she bases it all on her experience as a successful writer in the market. This book is a great blueprint for finding success whether you are new to contest writing or an old hand at it. It’s a book I am sure to go back to time and time again.
