Walter Lombard was a man of contradictions—beloved husband and father, respected Navy veteran, and an enigma cloaked in silence. But when his Book of Life arrives, chronicling fragments of a covert past, his family is drawn into a maze of unanswered questions and dangerous secrets.
As Aaron Callahan and his wife Bethany—Walter’s oldest daughter—search for the truth, their investigation leads them to the heart of Obsidian Black, a mercenary group shrouded in mystery. What begins as a quest for understanding soon becomes a race against forces determined to keep the past hidden.
Book of Life: Walter is a literary mystery layered with suspense, exploring the thin line between honor and deception—and the cost of unearthing the past.
I really enjoyed this book. It is the 3rd in a series which I was not aware of but I didn’t feel lost at all. It reads as a standalone, some of the characters I didn’t have all the backstory for but never felt that I didn’t know the character. Very fast paced, kept you guessing. I would highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys thrillers.
