Brian Hartman has upped his game. In Sacrifical Touch, Brian explores the very real realm of faith and miracles through a roller coaster ride of a psychological thriller. Brian applies his background as an ER physician to his writing talent to craft a tale that keeps the pages turning while we follow Dr Cameron Turner through a journey where he must come to grips with his own mortality. He struggles with balancing his special gift with his love of family. Compared to most dark reads, this novel doesn’t shy away from dark issues but it is a refreshing uplifting read. I have enjoyed all of Brian’s works but this is by far his best novel yet and I look forward to more.

Very interesting Christian fiction book that’s definitely a little different than most CF. The main character has a near death experience where he meets God and is given a gift. The gift is miraculous but with it comes some unforeseen negative sequel and the book follows that and the decisions that have to be made as a result. As a nurse practitioner with ER experience, I appreciated the medial aspects of the book as it was written very realistically. Scripture and Christian themes are heavy throughout so if that’s not your cup of tea, skip this one. I think it would be a great book for book clubs and spark a lot of discussion!
