When disaster strikes their town, can two lifelong friends save it—and each other?
Ethan Carter.
A reformed, thrill-seeking bad boy.
The man who’s always been there… but never quite mine.
Harbor’s Edge is my safe haven—the family I found, the bar I love, and the independence I cling to with both hands. But when an oil spill threatens to destroy everything, I’m forced to work side by side with Ethan, an old friend and the one person who can see through my walls.
Ethan has always been my rock, but now, he’s so much more—the way he looks at me, the way he’s there when I need him, even when I don’t want to admit it.
When my troubled foster brother resurfaces and dredges up painful memories, and Ethan’s protective nature clashes with my need to stand on my own, the past we’ve tried to bury threatens to tear us apart.
Can two friends find the courage to risk it all for love?
Sometimes, everything you’ve been waiting for is right in front of you.
When We Are Falling is book two in the Valiant Hearts series and can be read as a standalone. This heartfelt, steamy small-town romance delivers a swoon-worthy happily ever after.
I loved Ethan and Blake's story so much! Stephanie Corin does a phenomenal job of bringing Harbor's Edge and the people of the town to life. Everyone felt so real to me, and I love that this is an interconnected series with familiar faces, but nobody pulls attention away from our main couple, Ethan and Blake. And boy, did they deserve their hea ♥️ I love how Stephanie brings her characters to life and how real they feel while reading.
I adored Ethan so much as a MMC and how much love and respect he had for Blake, especially as she contended with some painful aspects of her past. I dare you to read this and not fall in love with him, too!
Another great read with such sweet characters who have great chemistry and plenty of steam.
I was excited to hear that the author wrote another book in this quaint town, but this time focusing on a couple other characters from the first book. Even though you do not have to read the first book, I highly recommend to get a feel of how all the characters intertwine. Lastly, if you’re into some spicy reading then give this book a try!
Stephanie has crafted another truly entertaining story for this series. It’s a fantastic mix of strong character work, moving moments and storylines the reader can connect with, and of course romance. All making for a wonderful read.
