I am an absolute sucker for a second chance at first love trope and this book got me from the start.
I loved Jake and Kelly's story!!! What a fantastic edition to Harbor's Edge! This was a beautifully written second chance, return to small town single dad romance. Kelly's and Jake's histories were expertly woven into the book with so much emotion. It was both heartbreaking and heartwarming to see Jake make choices that aligned with his values of being a good man and father, even when they weren't choices he made for himself, and it was really heart tugging when those choices broke his (and Kelly's) heart as teenagers.
But that just makes their reunion all the sweeter. And even better, they're adults and no longer teenagers. It made for a satisfying HEA for them, now older and wiser and ready for each other.
Once again, I loved hanging out in this fictional small town because it feels so real! I loved revisiting past couples in the series as well. I loved this one. ♥️
