Carmelo and Rosa. He rules with brutality and ruthlessness. She is being attacked and something shifts. His rule is no women are to be attacked but theres something else about her. A feeling that will make him seem weak.
The chaos and action begins on page one but it feels like something was left out. The reason why she was there and how she got there which is revealed in the second chapter. Its like a preview in a movie that the first part lays the reason for the story. While she overhears their conversation she realizes shes become a pawn to men for their world. She confronts him and so starts their dance of chaos and intrigue. Trust and mistrust. Misunderstandings. Plans are set in motion. Feelings are revealed and walls tumble down. Power, control, danger, brasing for the fight and making a choice. Really a good read.

Rosa and Carmelo held me captive to their compelling story. He came to her aid rescuing her from a tragic encounter that starts their path. He sees Rosa as his light being a hardened man that see emotions as a weakness. Together they become a force. Will their union lead them along the road to happiness. This epic story kept me glued to the pages.

This is the third book in the Chicago Dons series. The entertaining plot kept me flipping pages! Carmelo and Rosa meet when he rescues her from a dicey situation. There’s drama, suspense and romance. A very good read.

Rosa becomes a strong FMC but Carmelo, to me, is a weak MMC. He doesn't really act like a Don. The story gets better as the book progresses. As does their relationship. There's suspense and drama. This book has a good storyline and is worth reading!
