Michelle Corchis I'm an Indie author, and to me, there is no better place than between pages or plots. Growing up, I had a passion for reading, science fiction, music, anything that was creative. I watched sci-fi shows (Buck Rogers & Battlestar Galactica) & read books & magazines about the big, bad wolf & vampires. Someday, I thought, there would always be a place for me In the Final Frontier. As we know, life isn't like the movies or TV (no Luke Skywalker or Captain Kirk). So after some thought, I decided to live in my fantasy world-through the printed word (or e-books) & share it with the world. I'm never without a book in hand. When life throws you a curve-ball, all you need to do is fly away to another world. That world is in the pages of books.
I enjoyed this book. However there are a lot of characters and a lot of going on at once. Somethings were hard to grasp. For example, Maya was basically kidnapped and she was fine but then more than halfway of the book she was saying she wanted to leave that it wasn't her life. Then she was fine with it right after. And while they were literally at a cell trying to get away they decide to f'ck. So the story line was kind of all over the place. If it wasn't all over the place I would have given an extra star. I don't mind a few mistakes, I am not and English teacher but there were quite a few. One min. she is talking in first person and the same sentence she is talking in third so it was a bit annoying. But other than that it was pretty good. If she had a good editor helping her out she would have gotten a better review.
This book was gifted to me by the Author for an honest review.
This was a great story full of lots of suspense and surprises....I loved the mixture of different supernatural beings coming together for the first time..
There is a lot of passion and just like you would expect from a wolf, not flimsy, but raw.
There is a great plot unfolding and it will start to unfold with the next story I think, which is very exciting and I can't wait for it to come out.
The Alpha Cade finally meets his mate Mya after many years of waiting for her and a few others meet their mates in this story and there are whispers of impending doom...
Can't wait to read the next installment of this series and find out how all this plot unfolds, it promises to be very exciting.
Congratulations on a great story Michelle you are a great writer indeed
Alpha Claimed 5 stars This book was great and written very well but it can be a tad confusing because once i got down to i finally figured who was talking it was mainly more in one person. But this book has vampires and wolves all in one and a lot of steamy sex! There is a lot of characters so u find yourself trying to keep up with throughout the book. I for sure cant wait to read the next coming books for this series i totally loved it and you will to! reviewed for two ordinary girls by breAnna
I gave this book a 2 star review because I felt like there was wayyy to much going on. I felt like there was two people writing this book. The grammar errors was way to much. And then suddenly it was good. Some parts were very well written and the other parts you couldn’t hardly read at all. This story is everywhere... literally. I couldn’t finish the book I barely made it to 85 percent.
It was slow going for me to get into the story because of editing issues. As the book got further along it wasn't bad. I enjoyed the story i love shifters. I don't know about the rest of the series but I would liked to have seen more action.
This was a great story. There was quite a few errors. I love the new cover. It’s been a few years since I read it and decided to do a reread. Loved the action. Gave four stars because of the grammatical errors. All and all a great read.
The copy I received free as an epub promotion, with no strings attached. I am reviewing it because although the author shows promise, her world was believable, thrilling and erotic in a supernatural way, but she really could use a good editor. So many mistakes, grammatical, wrong word used, too many words used, not enough words used, etc., that it was jarring at times. So much so that it took me out of the story to try and figure out what the author was trying to say. That shouldn't happen, the story should take me away and ay the end drop me back into my existence, happier or satisfied for having experiences the author's world through the words they put to the page. Sadly, that was not the case here. I used the female pronoun for the author but should have used she or he as the name doesn't give away the gender. However, if she (or he) can't find an editor to work with I'd be happy to work with her(or him).
A family heritage she never knew about, a alpha looking for his lost mate, and a coup that just may kill them all. Mya had always felt different from her parents not knowing why. But when coming to a sleepy little town in Ontario. She runs into trouble while out at a bar called The Howl. When she runs into Denver, she is not amused but his rough demeanor. But as she comes to learn not everything is as it seems. Werewolves, vampires and things that bump in the night are real. And she is one of them or she will be if she lets the change occur. Now in the middle of a war where rouge werewolves want her for their own, alpha who will do anything for her but wants to find his brother too and a vampire that has some relationship issues. What's a girl to do when the world seems to have thrown everything at her at one time?
This is book 1 of the series Wolf Essence by author M. Corchis.
Mya Leighton grew up always being a loner because she just felt like she didn't fit in so when she is saved from rouges she fights the attraction to Cade and does not want to believe the truth.Cade James is the alpha of the James pack and has been searching for his mate but he never thought he would have a hard time with her accepting him.
I loved the characters in this story because they showed more then the average character with emotions. The story line flow was great from start to finish. This book has action, drama, betrayal, lots of sex.
This is for any mature erotic paranormal romance book lover.
I really liked this book! I will tell you that is does get a little confusing, because all the characters are in first person and it's hard to tell the difference sometimes! Other than that it was a VERY good book! It had a good amount of sexiness, and action, just like I like! Considering this is Michelle's first book, I was very impressed with how she made the supernatural world ALL her own! I can't wait to read the next book from this author!
this story takes you on a roller coaster ride. their is a lot going on and its between three packs and a coven. will things get worked out? will they rescue the missing? will the form bonds and find mates? what will the final outcome be? l couldn't put it down till I was done. this story just pulls you in. you and werewolves, mages, necromancers, and Vampires. so you have some all the paranormals. this story is just so well written I don't want to give anything away
DNF after just reading the sample.. Mya was annoying and bitchy and I only got an 18 pg sample.. As I was reading all I could think was did a child write this? It was confusing to know who was talking and it obviously wasn't proof read.. I found so many mistakes in just the first 2 chapters.. this was sad cuz I was really looking for a good shifter book *sigh*
The story was good and excitingly fast paced. There were many characters introduced and the relationships a bit complex to start. Unfortunately there were many errors in sentence structure and grammar I found distracting. It forced me to re-read sentences to make sense of the idea the writer was trying to get across. Once this book is edited properly it will make for a great read.
A little disjointed. Skins over a lot of details in the beginning about Mya's past and her acceptance of her wolf to go into the part of the story where Milo needs rescuing. It jumps from one persons viewpoint to the next rather quickly and gets hard to follow. Also, needs a little more fine-tuning on the editing. Not a bad story. It just needs work.
I felt like there was to much going on for this to be one book. Also, there was quite a few errors that did not help in bringing the characters and the full story that the author envisioned to life. I believe once the errors in the story are fixed that this story can and will be a great read.
I enjoyed read this little story, it is about how these two find each other. It well worth reading. It helps to understand the rest of the story. I was given this story for a honest review .
received this free for a fair review:- I hate giving bad reviews, there is always something positive to review in a book but i could not find it in this one. It was just so hard to read, I just could not find my way to finish it. The telling of the story was disjointed, it just didn't make sense sometimes, there where plot errors, I could not relate to any of the characters. It was just awful. Sorry.....not for me.
I received this book in exchange for a honest review. I really enjoyed this book. It is a mixup of werewolves and vampires. Was a little confusing at times, hard to keep track of names of characters and where fit in storyline. But overall really enjoyed the thrills & suspense! Steamy sex scenes!
