Hope Shackleford did not relish spending the festive season under the same roof as her entire family, even though the roof beneath which the gathering was to take place belonged to the Earl of Ravenstone and was far grander than the modest vicarage in which she’d spent her whole life. Six married and three to go. What I've read so far has been delightful. The Reverend Shackelford and his prelate, Percy get themselves into the middle of every unfortunate situation while trying to rescue just about every other character in the stories. They both bring lots of humor to these tales but manage to save everyone while the townspeople count on their antics for their latest entertainment. The whole family is funny and unruly. The Reverend just wants to see his children happily married with secure futures that include loving partners.
The plots are good and the stories are entertaining. One drawback, there's just a bit too much repetition of certain phrases in the 4-6 books that got annoying.

Fun filled with just enough 🌶️!
The series about the Shackleford sisters is hilariously funny! It’s filled with bacon brained antics and a vicar and curate who constantly get caught up in mischief. The lady of the house can’t seem to get up off her chaise lounge or go without her salts! Eight daughters that are as far from ladylike as they can get somehow manage to marry into the aristocracy and a son who is as wild as his sisters. This series is lighthearted with just enough 🌶️ to keep it interesting. ♥️♥️♥️ the Shackleford sisters!

Great reads.
That’s six now read, just downloaded to Kindle the next 3. Think the first 3 were better than the second 3 but that’s just my opinion. I would have liked to read about the Wedding where Queen Charlotte nearly fell in the duck Pond. We still don’t know the full story, just mentions of it.

brilliant reading
The whole 6 books I’ve read are absolutely brilliant. I love the way the reverend keeps getting involved in his daughters lives. Also the language that is used, makes me laugh. Can’t wait to read the rest of the Shackleford family stories…
