Cowboy and Caoimhe’s story was definitely a slow burn romance and didn’t have the spice and sexy moments like others, but it was needed in this one. I loved that Brooke wrote their story as she did because after everything Caoimhe had been she needed to fully recover, both physically and mentally.
Caoimhe was such an incredibly strong woman. The fierceness and protectiveness she had when it came to 5 year old Saoirse was incredible- especially since Caoimhe was only 19 herself. And the way Cowboy immediately stepped up and wanted to do everything to make sure that little girl stayed with them was amazing.
This was another great addition to the series, it may not have had the spicy, hot and sexy moments, but the suspense was there, and the emotional moments were exceptional. This story had so much from betrayal, love, suspense and characters that you easily fall in love with!

Pushing the Limits

Pushing the limits is exactly what this book did, that and more with the raw, gritty storyline that was truly heartbreaking. Ciaran/Cowboy and Caoimhe have known each other for years and after her brother and Ciaran’s best friend made a fatal mistake one night everything changed for them.

Now Cowboy is a member of the Fury Vipers MC he has been on the hunt for a trafficking ring and Caoimhe has been tracking her brother’s killers for a while now. Caoimhe gets captured by the ring and goes through horrendous things. She bonds with a little girl Saoirse and tries to protect her as best she can. When she is finally rescued Cowboy will do anything to protect the woman he loves and the little girl.

There are twists and turns in the story that took me by surprise and disgusted me at the same time. This was an intense story which made it a huge page turner for me.

COWBOY is the fourth instalment in Brooke Summers’ contemporary, adult FURY VIPERS MC: DUBLIN dark, MC romance series -a spin off from the author’s FURY VIPERS MC. This is Ciaran aka ‘Cowboy’, and Caoimhe Mallee’s story line. COWBOY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. An important information from the previous story lines are revealed where necessary. For fans of Brooke Summers, there is an ongoing cross-over with the author’s characters from MADE and the HOULIHAN MEN OF DUBLIN Irish Mafia series.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there WILL BE triggers from more sensitive readers.

Told from three first person perspectives (Ciaran, Caoimhe, Dylan) following several timelines, COWBOY focuses on the search and rescue of our story line heroine. At sixteen years of age, Ciaran, and his best friend Dylan Mallee, worked for an organization known as The Agency but one of their assignments ended with Dylan dead, and his sister Caoimhe on the run. Years would pass, messages sent, until the day Ciaran discovered Caoimhe was a victim of human trafficking. Now a member of the Fury Vipers MC, Ciaran would aid in the take down of the people involved, rescuing the woman he has always loved but a woman who is no longer the person he used to know. Desperate to find the people responsible, a familiar face resurfaces, and our couple know that payback is going to be dangerous and deadly.

The world building covers several years as Caoimhe Mallee finds herself shuttled from place to place, owner to owner always protecting those unable to protect themselves. Caoimhe has no idea that Ciaran is desperate to locate our story line heroine, a woman who is determined to survive one way or another.

The relationship between Caoimhe and Cairan is a best friend’s younger sister but a relationship that is all but destroyed when Caoimhe is abducted. Cairan never stopped looking for our story line heroine, and Caoimhe knew that one day, Cairan would be the man to own her heart. The $ex scenes are passionate but limited and mostly implied.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, determined and dangerous secondary and supporting characters including the return of Connor aka Bozo and his wife Grainne, Jerry Houlihan, as well several members of the Fury Vipers MC. We are introduced to housekeeper Maria, Caoimhe’s brother Dylan, and five year old Saoirse. The requisite evil has many faces.

COWBOY is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, greed and obsession, family and friendships, relationships and love. The character driven premise is gritty, edgy and dramatic; the romance is limited but impassioned; the characters are desperate, dynamic and broken but healing.

First off, read the content warning. Consider it carefully. There is:
- On page SA
- Trafficking of women and children
- child endangerment
- graphic violence
- language
- PTSD
- infertility
If any of these might trigger you, read a nice, happy book about bunnies instead because this book can be very hard to take.
The FMC and MMC start off as childhood friends and move to lovers, and you know that friends to lovers is my catnip. They are strong people, and stronger together. I like that their relationship lifts them both up and that the sum of them together is greater than the individual people. I apologize now for any misspellings of Irish Gaelic names that I might perpetrate.
The most adorable character is Saoirse. She is trafficked for the purpose of becoming the adoptive daughter of the buyer. She is a ray of sunlight in a rather dark section of the book. And I love that I can pronounce Saoirse.
Cowboy makes the list of perfect husband material because of his patience, passion, and the way he both encourages and needs communication.
Caoimhe starts off as a teenage hacker in hiding, then later becomes a trafficked adult. Her journey is not pretty, but I think her surviving it makes her pretty badsass.
It’s not a perfect book. The explanation of why the bad guy did what he did and how fast he changed was pretty thin. It didn’t really add up to what the character had been established as.
But although it’s not perfect, it’s darn good. It makes for compelling reading.
Romance and sexytime are very definitely on a slow burn. It’s the practical way that makes sense, particularly with all the FMC has suffered.
Tropes include:
- childhood friends to lovers
- brother’s best friend
- Found Family
- MC Romance
- secret societies
- abused heroine on the run
- adorable moppet
- mobsters as good guys
- multi flavored pancakes
I enjoyed this book, even though it wasn’t an easy read, but, not gonna lie, I was in it for the pancakes.

I just hope that one day, somehow, we’ll escape.

This one was definitely one of my favorites from Brooke Summers and within the series also. Taking care, understanding and bringing the current storyline of trafficking to the focus of this story with Caoimhe & Ciaran -Cowboy.

Going back through a few years, Brooke gives you enough of each stage of what is happening with the characters. Caoimhe has gone through a lot of devastating loss of family, determined to find answers she ends up being caught up in the human traffic ring that is sweeping not only through Island but, far overseas. Cowboy is never going to give up on trying to track her down and bring her home.

Caoimhe is a survivor and goes through a hell of a lot within the years she is separated. By some good luck and strength Cowboy does have her in his arms again…only she is not the same young girl he once knew. Shadows haunt her every step and with gentle care Caoimhe wants to heal by stopping the monsters that plague her nightmares from hurting more lives.

“This is…reclaiming something. They tried to take from me.”

Brooke doesn’t go into all the detail of what happened to Caoimhe, we are told and from that information on we can gather what happened to Caoimhe which was enough for this story. It’s a slow burn for reasons that you understand, however you can feel the care and love that is coming from Cowboy. It’s real, raw and with such care these two will build a new unbreakable connection. I really liked how this was done and with how much each of them suffered it only brought them closer together.

As always, the characters in this world are entwined together showing up and the club will back their brother no matter what happens. This brings some light to the story as does, a little ray of sunshine who really did lighten up the room and even with the dark clouds within this story you really felt that everyone comes together.

This fourth book in the Fury Vipers MC, Dublin Chapter series is outstanding. I could leave my review like this as it sums it up perfectly but I won’t. I will say there is a warning at the start of the book. Although I personally didn’t find it challenging to read, there are some distressing moments that are well written to minimise any negative impact.

This is the story of Caoimhe and Cairan/Cowboy—a member of the Fury Vipers, from their earlier teenage years on. This is a story about loyalty, love, brotherhood, friendship, danger, and betrayal. This is a heartbreaking story that, at times is very dark. At other times, it is full of love and even some fun banter.

Cowboy is as loyal a friend as you’ll ever meet. Growing up with Caoimhe, his best friend’s sister, ensured he included her in that circle. I particularly enjoyed how unpredictable the story is with its twists and turns.

I won’t say too much else because readers need to experience this amazing story themselves that is hard to put down once you begin.

Their story takes a few years but it will feel like a blink in time.
Ciaran, aka Cowboy, got into working for The Agency at a young age. Not only does he like it, he's good at it. At sixteen, he and his best friend are into some pretty heavy things and now, they're in big trouble.
Caoimhe and her brother have lived with her aunt since their mother passed. She can tell that something is wrong because her brother has been really nervous lately. Ciaran is her brother's best friend so, if her brother's in trouble, he's in it as well.
Now her brother is gone and they have to run. Ciaran promised that he would look out for her. All she wants is the truth of who ended her brother.
Now he's a Fury Viper in the Dublin chapter but Cowboy has never stopped worrying about her. They meet again and find out that the organization that they were after all those years ago has gotten even bigger. As Caoimhe and Cowboy go deeper into the rabbit hole, shocking truths are revealed and the danger is real, very real. And it wants Caoimhe!
As you read, you hope and plead in your mind that it's not happening. But it is! This story will rip you open then put you back together again . The twists and turns will drive you crazy in the best way.

Brooke Summers is an amazing author, and this book did not disappoint. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for what would happen next, and I was not ready for the path this book took. This book broke my heart and then mended it. I loved the storyline; it was original, heartbreaking, page-turning, and well-paced from beginning to end. This book is part of the Fury Vipers MC: Dublin Chapter and can be read as a standalone, but I totally recommend taking the dive into this whole MC world and starting with the Fury Vipers MC: New York Chapter. You will love the ride!!! This book does touch on dark themes and topics, so check the CW to make sure this book is for you.

Caoimhe was smart, determined, and very strong for what she went through. I loved her willingness to survive and protect those she cared about. Cowboy was loyal, stubborn, and just as determined as Caoimhe. I loved their friends-to-lovers slow-burning relationship; it was beautiful. Make sure you have your tissues handy when reading this book. I am so obsessed with this whole world of MC and Mafia romances Brooke Summers has created. I have reread this series and her previous series several times.

This world Brooke's has created is one of my favorites. I love how things are interconnected and click in places you do not expect. I wanted to know more about Ciarán ever since he made an appearance in Lisa's story and supported her. And what I got made me fall hard in love with him. He wasn't just a protector to Caoimhe, but he became her backbone her support system and ensured she bloomed after all the disaster. And Caoimhe, I have no words to describe. She is one of the most resilient and strongest characters. I was in awe with her to not give up after everything she endured. There were so many moments I could not control my tears. I was rooting for them to find each other. I loved Saoirse, she was a beacon of hope to everyone. Once again, Brooke broke my heart and mended it back together. This was yet another emotional whirlwind that tugged at my heartstrings and left me craving for more. Thanks to Brooke for the advanced copy of this captivating read.

This is the fourth book in this series. I haven't read the first three and wasn't lost but they are on my TBR list. Cowboy and Caoimhe have known each other for a long time. Cowboy was her brother's, Dylan best friend. Their story isn't an easy one or without trauma. Their story really begins when Caoimhe's brother dies. Dylan and Cowboy had been working for the The Agency and working on getting info related to a trafficking ring. Now that Dylan is dead they are all in more danger especially Caoimhe. This is where things get really interesting. Caoimhe doesn't want them to put their lives at risk for her. So she takes off on her own. Cowboy is devastated. Now he is part of the Fury Vipers MC and Caoimhe is back. They question is why? They have been getting tips on the trafficking ring. Could it be related? This book was a fantastic read. I loved the characters. I can't wait to read the other books in the series and see how they connect to the original series. This book is full of danger, mystery, and more. Caoimhe and Cowboy are a wonderful couple. They have been through so much and their future is full of such wonderful things. I can't wait to read more of Brooke's books. Great job.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This is the story of Cowboy and Caoimhe. If you love a good slow burn romance, then you are going to love this book. Caoimhe is a girl who has suffered horrible trauma. No doubt she needs some serious time to heal and fully recover from all she has been through. She is such a strong woman. Fierce and protective most especially when it comes to her five year old son Saoirse. She had him when she was only nineteen years old but, she has been the most amazing mom to her. Cowboy is absolutely amazing with both of them. He does not hesitate to and do everything he can to make sure that she has everything she could ever want or need. I loved the way their relationship builds and how Saorise is never forgotten or put to the side. He is a good man with a big heart. This is not a spicy romance that you are probably thinking that it is. But I loved that about this book. It is the story of healing and finding exactly what you never knew you wanted.

Another Banger from Brooke.
Ciarán ‘Cowboy’ O ‘ Reilly has featured in previous books . He has worked for Travis James and the Agency since he was 16 to pay off a debt along with Best friend Dylan Mallee. The boys are on a collection job when they are ambushed by the very traffickers they are helping to take down. Making it out by the skin of their teeth, Travis tells them to lie low but Dylan doesn’t listen. It’s now down to Ciarán to look after and protect Dylan’s beloved younger sister Caoimhe (keeva) only she has other ideas, not wanting to be a burden she disappears.
Cowboy and Travis never stop looking for her, trying to take down the trafficker with Cowboys club the Fury Vipers and Jerry Hoolihan and his gang .
Caoimhe goes through a decade of hiding, living rough and hell evading both the good guys and bad till bad wins out and dreaming of escape and keeping a little girl safe become her only focus .
That and thinking of the boy who was her brothers best friend

Cowboy, the fourth book in Brooke Summers’ Fury Vipers: MC Dublin Chapter series, had me hooked from page one. Dark, emotional, and raw, this story takes you on a powerful journey. Ciarán and Caoimhe’s slow-burn romance felt authentic and deeply earned. Nothing about Caoimhe’s healing was rushed.

Ciarán’s quiet devotion and steady support made their connection feel safe and real. This wasn’t just a love story, it was about trust, survival, and hope.

I also loved how the world continues to expand. Past characters are woven in beautifully, and Saoirse’s presence throughout added so much heart and depth.

The pacing was steady, the stakes were high, and the ending was both intense and satisfying. Cowboy is a story of pain, strength, and resilience, balanced by a romance that lingers long after the last page. If you haven’t started this series yet, now is the perfect time to dive in.

I first discovered Brooke’s books just over two years ago when I got a ticket to FBBF MC & Mafia signing in Birmingham, it was my first time going to an event like this and I didn’t know many authors. As I was working my way through trying to read as many authors as possibly I read one book and ended up reading her entire back list!!

Ever since I have read her books as they come out and have never been disappointed. This book delves into trafficking and the work the club are doing to take the rings down but also from the side of the victims without going into graphic detail.
We see the relationship between Cowboy and Caoimhe from teenagers and the challenges they face along the way.
I don’t want to give too much away so won’t say much more other than I can’t recommend this book enough, I couldn’t put it down and could have continued reading about their future.

This is the fourth book in this amazing series, and this is Cowboy / Claran and Caoimhe’s story.
Caoimhe is Dylan’s younger sister, and she is left alone and grieving his loss, but she is determined to unravel the truth surrounding his passing. Cowboy is Dylan’s best friend, and he knows he is next to be killed, leaving no option but to run. With both characters on the run, Caoimhe is seeking vengeance, and Cowboy redemption.
This is a well written action packed, emotional roller coaster, with found family, friendships, loss, grief, determinations, secrets, danger, suspense, intrigue, survival, betrayal, vengeance, redemption, second chances, trust, healing, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, haunting, twisted, and unpredictable dark MC romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Twisted, unpredictable, and a great story!

I loved Cowboy's story in this series. His story started out as most would, but then there were some twists and turns thrown in which made it so much more. I love Cowboy and Caoimhe's story. Such a great name, too, Caoimhe.

His best friend has been with him for years, and when they take on a job for The Agency and stumble into a hornet's nest, their lives will forever be changed. When they finally get to the end of the nest, nothing will be the same. Lives will be lost, trust will be lost, and a new love will be forged.

I love the Fury Viper MC series and all of Brooke Summers' books I've read so far, which has been many. Her intertwining of her series has been great and one of the reasons I love to read them. I can't wait for more to come from her. I find her books hard to put down once I've started them.

3.5 ⭐️

This was just ok for me. Unfortunately, I felt it was a bit slow and dragged on. It was also somewhat repetitive. Caoimhe went through hell. It wasn't descriptive, so no worries there. While she was being taken, she met a little girl named Saoirse. Caoimhe promises to protect Saoirse and does just that. Ciaran/Cowboy is best friends with Dylan, Caoimhe's brother. This story starts when the boys are 16 and she is 14. There are things that she does that I don't believe anyone would do if they were in the same situation. That's just me saying that. There is one person in this book who I believe deserves some nasty freaking crap to happen to them. Unfortunately, it doesn't, and that was kind of a disappointment. I was surprised by some of the people who don't make it in this book, one in particular. Like, really, OMG.

First if you have triggers please heed the warnings. This story is raw, tragic, highly emotional and so much angst. It was a fantastic well written story about living through being trafficked and coming out the other side. It was so good. This book definitely kept me on edge the entire time. I absolutely loved Cowboy and Caoimhe and I can't forget Saoirse, she was a jewel. I loved how protective he was of Caoimhe throughout the entire book and he never gave up on finding her even though it seemed she was never going to be found. I have to say I love this author and I really enjoyed the feel of this book, it was different but so good. I love that they finally got their happy ending. I highly recommend this story, I absolutely loved it.

Ciaran/Cowboy and his best friend, Dylan work for the Agency. They are only sixteen but this is the way for them to make money, one assignment is to obtain records on a high level trafficking ring. Days later, Dylan ends up dead, leaving his sister, Caoimhe heart broken.

Caoimhe is determined to find out who took out her brother, she on the verge of finding information when she is abducted and trafficked. Ciaran is determined to find Caoimhe but it seems she has vanished. The Agency, Fury Vipers MC and Jerry Houlihan will need to work together to find her.

This story may be triggering for some to due the subject matter and what happens to the characters.

What an intense, sad read this was. Caoimhe and Cowboy bonded over the loss of her brother, Cowboy's bff. Both their lives changed forever with that one night, both vowing to find out what happened but in a different way. Cowboy Joined an MC and she fought her way through being on the streets alone. Caoimhe ends up deep in a trafficking ring that could have ruined her life, except she had hope to survive and take them all down. What she endured through those years was brutal and absolutely terrible, until she made it out and he was on the other side to pick her back up. The secrets in this read broke my heart, but these two pieces put it back together.

The story of Cowboy and Caoimhe is a little different from what the author has accustomed us to. And that's not a bad thing.

The author has chosen to take a slow-burn approach here, and given Caoimhe's history, it couldn't have been written any other way. All too often, we see heroines who have experienced trauma and whose stories are full of spicy insta-love, which doesn't fit with their past. Of course, everyone experiences healing in their own way, but the way the story is approached here is very realistic and touching.

It's a story full of tension, emotions, difficulties, action, angst, betrayal, grief, anger, and a well-deserved HEA for Cowboy, Caoimhe, and Saoirse.

Cowboy and Caoimhe’s story has them coming together after they had drifted apart due to her bro/his best friend’s death. But these two are after the same people, and these people want her. They end up getting her and do some heinous things but through it all she tries her best to protect a little girl, Saoirse. When the MC he is in rescued her, he will do anything and everything to help her heal and keep the little girl she protected so fiercely. A good emotion, dramatic, twist and turns storyline that has you breaking and then getting g out back together.

This is the fourth book in the Fury Vipers MC Dublin chapter. Caoimhe is the younger sister of Dylan, Cowboy’s best friend. The story is told over a period of time, and past events can never be forgotten. Caoimhe is the woman Cowboy can never forget, the woman he will avenge, protect, and love forever. This story was heartbreaking. I didn’t find it graphic but you know what had occurred is horrendous, and Caoimhe survives for one reason only. It’s an intense story of found family, a slow growing love & healing following unimaginable betrayal. Well-written, emotional read.

Cowboy & Caoimhe have known each other for years. When her brother died she took on wanting to know who did it. Cowboy tries to help but she takes off on her own. He’s searches for her and never actually finds her. Years later he finds her and tries to help & protect her. But neither are the same people they were when they were younger.
Will he be able to help her & keep her safe? Will she stay this time and accept his help? What happens when feelings get involved?
This book is filled with action and suspense. A real page turner

Cowboy is the total package. He never once gave up on looking for Caoimhe, no matter how long she was missing. He did everything in his power to find her and when he did he supported her and loved her through everything. Our heroine Caoimhe has got to be one of the strongest women Ms. Summers has ever written. To go through what she did and never once give up on herself, if only for Saoirse towards the end of her time before being rescued. These two are such a strong and incredible couple, I can not wait to see them in more books in the future.

This book will break you in multiple ways so please proceed with caution if you have even the slightest trigger. As I have none but it was still intense. But oh so worth it, hence it was a top read.
Honestly there isn't a lot more I can say that'll give it justice but you'll be glued from cover to cover.
I couldn't get enough despite the dire circumstances for a lot of the book.
My heart hurt for all involved.
Definitely recommend.
