Lin Anderson was born in Greenock of Scottish and Irish parents. A graduate of both Glasgow and Edinburgh Universities, she has lived in many different parts of Scotland and also spent five years working in the African bush. A teacher of Mathematics and Computing, she began her writing career four years ago. Her first film, Small Love, which was broadcast on STV, was nominated for TAPS writer of the year award 2001. Her African short stories have been published in the 10th Anniversary Macallan collection and broadcast on BBC Radio Four.
A collection of fictional stories, by a number of authors, some familuar, some not, at a number of historic places, set in a variety of time periods. Some interesting, some violent, and one, set, modern day, at Edinburgh Castle that was positively disturbing in a way that could trigger and really upset some people. So unnecessary, even in a collection called bloody Scotland I was unfamiliar with this author, Denise Mina, but let's just say, I just don't understand how, that was what she came up with when asked to contribute. Sick and twisted.
Ugh, some of the stories were just too unnecessarily disturbing. I did enjoy being introduced to these historic places in Scotland and a look into their true stories.
