تاب یادداشت های یک پزشک جوان، مجموعه ای از داستان های کوتاه نوشته ی میخائیل بولگاکف است که اولین بار در سال ۱۹۶۳ به چاپ رسید. بولگاکف برای خلق این داستان ها، از تجربیات خود به عنوان پزشکی تازه کار در آستانه ی انقلاب روسیه استفاده کرده و ماجرای پرفراز و نشیب، و تلخ و شیرین پزشکی جوان را در مسیر حرفه ای این شخصیت در روستایی به نام موریوفو به تصویر کشیده است. بولگاکف با سبکی واقع گرایانه و طنزآمیز، از تردیدهایش در مورد توانایی و البته بار سنگین مسئولیت های خود پرده برمی دارد و همزمان مجبور می شود با مردم خرافاتی و کمتر تحصیل کرده ای مراوده داشته باشد که برای ورود به عصر مدرن با مشکلاتی رو به رو هستند. کتاب یادداشت های یک پزشک جوان، دربردارنده ی برخی از شخصی ترین و خردمندانه ترین اندیشه های بولگاکف در مورد جوانی، انزوا و پیشرفت است

He wrote mostly about the horrors of the Russian Civil War and about the fate of Russian intellectuals and officers of the Tsarist Army caught up in revolution and Civil War.
Some of his works ( Flight , all his works between the years 1922 and 1926, and others) were banned by the Soviet government, and personally by Joseph Stalin, after it was decided by them that they "glorified emigration and White generals". On the other hand, Stalin loved The Days of the Turbins (also called The Turbin Brothers ) very much and reportedly saw it at least 15 times.
