This is the best book for understanding deep learning and large language models. What stood out most was the confidence it gave me. Often, after finishing a difficult technical subject, you feel exhausted, as if the topic is still too complex or outside your area of expertise. But after finishing this book, I felt the opposite. I felt, “Wow, I actually understand this, even though it is complex.” More importantly, I felt that I could truly do something practical with what I had learned.

A fantastic reference for getting up to speed on the math and basics behind all deep learning models. It’s such a fun way to enjoy the content and then allows you to dive straight into the harder math afterwards. A+ as always!

Most technical authors explain the math behind AI as if the reader has a PhD in the subject.

Josh, on the other hand, writes as if readers are really smart high school freshmen, which is awesome!
