This was my first book by Bella Pursell, and I was excited to give her a try—especially since she’s a fellow Houston-area author!

The beginning of Good to See You really pulled me in. The pacing was quick, the plot had me hooked, and I was all in on the emotional buildup. I’m a sucker for brother’s best friend and second chance romance tropes, and this one had both.

That said, around the 60% mark, the story started to lose some momentum. The tension surrounding when they’d finally tell her brother dragged on way too long—probably a good 40% longer than necessary. I think the book would’ve benefitted from being at least 50 pages shorter, just to tighten things up and keep the pacing snappy.

Still, I really liked both main characters. They were easy to root for, and watching their bond grow into love was super sweet. Even with the slower middle, this was a solid read overall, and I’m definitely open to picking up more from Bella in the future.

ARC Review:

Good to See You is an utterly adorable, heartwarming read that feels like a warm hug. It’s a low-stakes, closed-door romance that delivers all the charm without any of the angst…perfect for when you want something sweet and easy to escape into.

The pacing is quick, making it a one-sitting kind of book, and the relationship between the main characters is filled with genuine moments and a cozy chemistry. One small thing that personally pulled me out of the story at times was the overuse of nicknames between the couple, but that’s totally a personal preference and didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment.

If you’re in the mood for something light, swoony, and feel-good, Good to See You is definitely worth picking up.

0/5🌶️

This is the 2nd book of interconnected 'Frederik Hill' series, which can be read as a standalone too. Thank you so much Bella for this opportunity to be part of your permanent team 🤗.

Sadie didn't have the best moments with her current boyfriend, Axel. They were both passionate about photography, but somewhere along the way, Axel derailed from the right path, becoming a different man, in the worst way possible. Things have pilled up and catching him cheating her was the cherry on top. That was the part which made her cut any ties with him and go back to Frederick Hill.

Back home she had to face her first love, for whom she never stopped having feelings. His name was Hayden and he was best friends with Sadie's bigger brother, Bennett. Their break up was still a mystery for Hayden, but he was determined to find out what happened. Besides that, he was still not over Sadie. Will these two rekindle things or those 10 years apart will be decisive in their relationship?

Sadie has been through so many hurtful things and I felt really bad for her. She had a beautiful dream, but didn't have the luck to have the right people around her. Bennett had his regrets too, after being forced to leave football behind and to find a new path in life. But his father was constantly criticizing him, never being satisfied with the hard work Bennett was doing. Sadie was the perfect person for him and the other way around too. I loved their connection and that angst which resulted from the hidden secrets, the time spent apart and from the unhealthy people from their lives.

This story was a bit more emotional and darker than the 1st book, having some serious topics included. A beautiful book about finding the right path to happiness, self acceptance and to love. It's never too late to redeem relationships and to reinvent yourself as a person. One thing I found a bit disturbing and that was the prolonged situation from the second part of this book, but maybe that's just me🤷🏼‍♀️. It was a great read overall💕.

I know this is a romance but to me it felt equally like a gem fic book about the FMC’s growth and healing.

As someone who’s had a best friend in a toxic relationship, it kind of hurt my heart to read about the FMC, Sadie, going through it. So I’m glad she had Hayden (MMC) to remind her of who she was and how loved she was. It was awesome to see her start down that journey and to see her friends and family’s role in that. Honestly her relationship with her brother made a lot of sense, very realistic. I also loved how she ‘went to bat’ for Hayden so it wasn’t just a one sided relationship.

⭐️ Why Not Five Stars?
While I thoroughly enjoyed the book, Sadie was not my type of character so I didn’t fully connect with her. I’d also love to have had more of the friendships pop up more often because it was so meaningful and reflected Sadie/how she was doing, so well in a genuine way.

With that, it was good and I’d recommend it, but I didn’t LOVE it.

ARC Review!!!
Thank you to Bella Pursell for this ARC!!

It started off great! I love how it gave a flashback of 10 years back in the prologue and kicked started to the present within the first chapter. Hayden and Sadie have a past but it's evident that isn't not share what happened to make them split ways. Sadie went to NY after everything went down in hopes of getting over Hayden and finding her own way but it only ends up to leading back home after 10 years.
Sadie's and Hayden's past isn't so in the past anymore when both are in the same place. Hayden wants answers and Sadie is scared of reigniting that flame. As Sadie is trying to figure out her life and where she wants to go, she also has to see if she's willing to move past her fears and have a future of Hayden.
I enjoyed the book! All the characters were good and well rounded. A cute found family within their friends.

Just finished this book and what a cute read!! It's really heavy in the brothers best friend trope and I am here for it.
second chance romance is my one of my favorites and it was done soooo well. 🤌🏻 Hayden and Sadie are so cute, they really complemented each others best qualities and were always there during the pressing times when they needed each other.

"I have loved you my entire life, and I don't plan to stop anytime soon."💓

I loved watching Sadie come out of her shell and be true to herself and the career she wanted, all with Hayden by her side. Loved the snippets of Ana & Wyatt from book one💓

My ARC Review:
I genuinely enjoyed reading this book so much! I was in such a reading slump over the last few weeks, this book brought me right out of it. This is a perfect example of an amazingly written second chance romance, which is one of my least favorite tropes. Bella is definitely changing my mindset on second chance romance!

I really relate to Sadie Cordell so much, minus the toxic boyfriend. I really understand what it feels like to be a little bit later in life and completely unsure of what do with my future. I really enjoyed reading a female character who I have that in common with. Reading her character development and rediscovering her passion is something that I feel like I don’t read about very often so it was very refreshing.

Hayden Clark is the greenest of green flags of all bookish men I have ever read about. This is the kind of man that should be written in so many more contemporary romance books.

Overall, this is a book that will definitely be a read again for me and something i will definitely be recommending. The characters are so easy to fall in love with, the overall storyline is incredible, and the book itself was really well written.

Hayden and Sadie’s story did not disappoint one bit🥹

My second chance girlies.. this is the book for you!! The yearning, the tension, the love, the flashbacks, was all SO well done. Bella truly put so much love and care into these characters and their story.

Their story was truly such a satisfying one to read. Seeing them come back together after so long apart and work through their challenges together truly keeps you hooked! I also really loved the flashbacks of their past and really seeing how they got their start. I love the balance that Bella brings of sweet romance and real life conversations and challenges.

If anyone needs a new book boyfriend I have two words for you… Hayden Clark. Hayden is such a sweet man who is a KING of yearning! She might be his best friend’s little sister but that doesn’t make him want her any less! And I LOVED Sadie!! Sadie is an FMC who you will not stop cheering for as the pages turn. She’s trying to find her way after a series of set backs when she reunites with her old love. The dynamic between her and Hayden is so goodddd!

The biggest thank you to Bella for allowing me to read this story early. I can’t recommend it enough!

🍬🍭ARC Review🍭🍬

"You've always understood me, you've been patient with me, and I haven't reciprocated that enough. I know what it's like to live without you, and I don't want to ever lose you again. Even if we are destined for a disastrous ending or a lifetime of happiness, I want the experience and joy of doing life with you"

The highly anticipated second book in Bella Pursell's Frederick Hill series brings the story of Sadie and Hayden to life (with glimpses of previous characters and their life following Nice to Meet You). Sadie leaves behind the life she had created for herself in the big city and returns home following the end of a tumultuous relationship. Immediately upon returning home Sadie runs into Hayden, her boyfriend from 10 years prior, who also happens to be her big brother's best friend. The two quickly rekindle their secret romance, but just like 10 years prior, they keep it a secret for fear of Sadie's brother's response.

First, it was a privilege to be selected for this ARC. Pursell is one of my favorite romance authors for her closed door romance, but also cute, quick reads. Good to See You was such a relatable story for me. Between leaving a relationship, finding your way back home, and finding your way back to the love of your life, this story encapsulates the uncertainty of returning to the familiar, especially when there are things left unsaid. Not only is the story relatable, the characters capture the thoughts and emotions I have felt returning to the love of my life; the uncertainty, the excitement, the fear.

I cannot stress how much I loved this book from beginning to end. It was quick-paced with loveable characters. The story of starting over and feeling the weight of wasted years is one that I relate to so well. Pursell writes characters that you can connect with and stories that you can't put down. I cannot wait to see where this series goes (there's going to be more, right?!?)

This was an excellent return to Frederick Hill, for both us and Sadie. I loved her and Hayden's second chance romance after the beautiful Summer they shared together 10 years ago. I loved how long their love story was, not in terms of book, but in that their families were friends so they've known each other their entire lives and loved each other just as long. It was just so sweet! I loved the forbidden love aspect which didn't overpower the story like it does sometimes, it was far from the only thing going on in the story and that was perfect for me! Plus can we mention the adorable childhood nicknames please??? Both Hayden and Sadie were excellent characters and although they had their little flaws they were perfect together and I loved seeing their story so much. Especially as Bella mentioned in the acknowledgements struggling to write Sadie more than Ana from book 1 since Sadie is a very different person to her. She did such a good job of making Sadie real and loveable.
It was written in a way that could be a standalone but we get to see more of the characters we love from Nice to Meet You and Wyatt and Ana's future. Also I'd really recommend reading that one anyway because it was one of my top 3 books from last year! I am so so excited for the next book and hearing Bennett and Kennedy's story because I have loved seeing them together in these two books and it's gonna be so cute to see their relationship unfold!

🪩ARC REVIEW🪩Thank you to Bella Pursell & her team for providing me with this book!

I really enjoyed this book following Hayden and Sadie. Coming in at under 300 pages, this was a well paced read and it moved along quickly. This was my 1st read by Bella and I definitely can see myself reading more of her books!

Sadie’s character shows a good look into what it’s like dating when you’re deeply insecure. Much of her internal dialogue felt relatable but I will say it was frustrating to read! (which makes it a fun book to read) I just wanted to reach in and grab Sadie by the shoulders and get her to lock in lol.

Hayden deals with a lot of pressure from his father. He unfortunately came from a workaholic household (father), and his dad is constantly moving the goalposts for Hayden despite him being a successful adult.

As adults, both Hayden and Sadie are coming to this prospect of a relationship with their own baggage. Although this is a romance novel, both our leads get a chance to stand up to and for themselves and fight for what they need. I LOVED Hayden so much !! He was so in love with Sadie and there’s nothing more that I like than a man who’s obsessed with his woman.

Highly recommend if you’re in the market for a sweet, realistic, closed door romance.

Once again I am left UNWELL in the best way possible!! Literally Bella has done it again and made me love this series and these characters more than I already did!!

Hayden Gabriel Clark: WARNING!!!! You will be ruined for men bc none of them will amount to his standards!! The amount of times I swooned, cried, and blushed at the things he said was an unhealthy amount!!

Sadie Grace Cordell: What I really love about her and Ana from NTMY is that I felt so seen!! I didn’t go through the exact things that they went through, but I felt so seen and felt like my insecurities weren’t just a me thing!! She was such a fun FMC and I was so happy to see her growth throughout the story!!

Plot: I loved how the main stuff between Hayden and Sadie made it feel stand alone, yet I got to re-experience some of my other favorite characters and even some newer ones too!! So much growth and many heartwarming moments!!

Overall, 100/10 recommend!! I literally can’t even put into words all that I want to say rn bc it’s so fresh and I’m still recovering!! 😂😂 Bella, thank you for letting me be an ARC reader and, again, ruining all non-book men for me!! 😂😂

ARC REVIEW!
Thank you so much to the author, Bella Pursell, for giving me the fantastic chance of being part of her literary journey!

So, I usually do not read purely romance books, but I truly liked this one, mainly because I am at an impasse in life much like the protagonist! Lol.
I liked the characters, they were well designed, and their voices clearly distinct (writing in first person is a bold choice and in this case it worked!). Sadie and Hayden's lives have been intertwined for a long time, and now dormient feelings are starting to surface, in a messy and imperfect way.
I think some other reviews mentioned this already, but I felt like the momentum was lost somewhere in the middle. At the beginning, the story was quite fast paced and a lot of events happened in just a few days, and then... Not so much.
The whole "best friend's sister" trope rubbed me the wrong way in a couple of instances, as did the FMC's attitude. However, it was overall okay and in the end everyone was happy!
In the best possible way, this felt like a Christmas movie without the Christmas theme!

ARC Review

The sweetest second chance romance!

I loved Sadie and Hayden's story and the found family in it. I was feeling for Sadie when she kept seeing herself as a failure and not fully believing everyone around her as they were trying to show she wasn't.

I loved how Hayden was trying to give Sadie her confidence back even after what happened between them. It proved how much he still cared for her. With Hayden not knowing the reason why Sadie broke up with him, he became filled with self-doubt about the situation himself. He also is figuring out how to deal with taking over his family's real estate buisness and ends up hiring Sadie as their social media manager. Working close together in the same office and the fact that Sadie's brother is Hayden's best friend, there is a lot of tension but is also a closed door romance for those that don't want or mind no spice.

I thought that both Sadie and Hayden were such beautiful characters with emotional depth, and I adored when they were together.

Thank you Bella Pursell for selecting me to read this ARC.

Genre: Small Town Romance
📍 Starts in NYC, mostly Texas
Vibes: 🏈📸🏙️🚌💕☕🤗
Rating: 3.75 ⭐
Tropes: brother's best friend / slow burn / secret relationship / second chance / closed door romance

I'll start by saying that I don't normally reach for romance books, and when I do it's usually based on the cover art, or title, but something about the author's posts on social media got into my brain that a cozy, clean romance was what I needed to read, and she was absolutely right. (She did not influence my review, just me wanting to apply for the ARC.) I wish the cover was a little more eye-catching.

Sadie and Hayden are an absolutely adorable story about how sometimes you should give a chance to the brother's best friend and how people grow in time, but sometimes there are things from our past that we just can't move on from. Things start off rough for Sadie and it made me a little mad, but other than that, the book was very satisfying. There is no spice at all in this book, and I didn't mind at all.

This is the second book in the series and I enjoyed every second of it! I first feel in love with Bella’s writing with Nice to Meet You and she once again did not disappoint!

I loved getting to see glimpses of Ana and Wyatt throughout Sadie and Hayden’s journey! This friend group will steal your heart quickly.

Hayden and Sadie’s story was a fun ride. It was heavy on the brother’s best friend trope but honestly Sadie’s thinking would probably be exactly what I was thinking too. Sadie had so much character growth throughout the book and I loved seeing her confidence in herself and her work grow.

Hayden seems like a gentle giant who only wants one thing, Sadie. But mess with Sadie and you gonna meet the giant. Hayden took over his dad’s company and was dating around, to fill the void of missing Sadie. When Sadie comes back into his life, Hayden started going for what he wanted and I thought realized his worth in his family.

The character growth and this friend group are going to keep me coming back to Frederick Hill over and over again!

So stinkin' cute! I'll start by saying that Bella Pursell is an auto-buy author for me. I've read almost her whole catalog and I've loved everything she's put out.

That trend continues with Good to See You. Sadie and Hayden are absolutely adorable in their second chance romance. Hayden is absolutely precious and I want to squeeze his cheeks. Sadie has a lot of stuff to work through and I loved being with her on her journey.

I'll tell ya though, this story starts with a bang. Sadie goes through it from the beginning and my own heart hurt for her starting in chapter 1. I also personally love when we are starting from a place like this so I was drawn in from Page 1.

We get to spend some more time with Bennett too which was interesting and I loved that we got to have a peek into more of Ana and Wyatt from Nice to Meet You!

This book was great from start to finish and Bella Pursell's storyline and writing prove to be as engaging and dynamic as ever.

Overall: recommend

Hayden and Sadie are my absolute fav! I love a friends➡️lovers, small town, & brother‘s best friend romance. Some of my fav tropes are in these pages. Hayden & Sadie’s story is so heartwarming. When you fall in love with somebody in high school you don’t think there is anyone else for you, nobody could take their place. In this case it’s true. The way they both did life but always wondered. But sometimes we’re just too stubborn to see what’s right in front of our face.

It was frustrating to feel the anxiety and disappointment Sadie felt towards herself, like she didn’t deserve happiness. But that’s what verb abuse does to you. It’s so hard to come back, to find that love and confidence. It also takes having a living support system, which eventually she does.

Hayden was so patient and so understanding. He waited and waited till the wanting was on her terms. But one can only wait so long..hence the 3rd act drama.

Overall I loved this book. The two separate lives rejoining, the cute aww moments..It truly made my heart happy to see Sadie gain her confidence back. To see her have her dreams come to fruition

Bella Purcell is one of my favorite up and coming/indie authors. Every time I see her announcement for a new book I hop on ASAP to be an arc reader. She is so grateful for her fans & arc readers and Her books are so wholesome with characters that are easily lovable and relatable.

I have interacted with many readers who have plainly stated that they don’t read or deal with closed door romances. Which to each their own. But in my opinion, if the story is good enough, you don’t even notice that the romance is closed door, the story will captivate you and keep you entertained… Good To See You did just that💗

4.5 ⭐

"Good to See You" is a total hug in book form! 🥰 Bella Pursell nails the second-chance, friends-to-lovers vibe, and I'm here for it! Sadie and Hayden? Adorable! Their connection is so real, and you'll be rooting for them from page one.

Hayden is the ultimate cinnamon roll hero, and Sadie's journey of rediscovering herself is so relatable. The found family vibes are strong, and the brotherly protectiveness? Swoon! Plus, the photography angle? Super cool!

Releasing on 18th April, this book is a sweet, feel-good read that'll leave you with a warm, fuzzy feeling. If you love heartwarming romances with closed-door but all the feels, grab this one!

You guys…Bella has once again done it. I cried and laughed so many times while reading this one. Hayden and Sadie are such a sweet couple and they support each other so much even when they weren’t together. Their story has been another favorite of mine by BP, because the characters are so undeniably human and relatable that you can’t help but love them and their journey to happiness. The side characters are also so funny and the friend group genuinely cares about one another, which is always a favorite side plot for me. This is such a good read and it will be out soon for you to get your hands on, but check your triggers 🫶🏼

4.5 stars!!!!

Omg I absolutely fell in love with Sadie and Hayden. I loved how their love truly stood the test of time and never faded throughout their years apart. This is my first book by Bella Pursell, but it definitely won’t be my last. The reason I deducted .5 stars is because of the language and Hayden’s anger issues. I feel like Hayden had quite a temper that kinda worried me for Sadie, but I was able to look past it for their adorable story.

🦋ARC REVIEW🦋

I was chosen as an ARC Reader for this book, and am completely honored! I was hooked on this book from the start - a great quick read! This book is a second chance romance, and small town lovers :)

Good To See You follows Hayden and Sadie, two people who have never stopped loving one another. Their story is great from start to finish; from each gaining their confidence and of course, the tension build up. The friend group that surrounds them is so supportive and adds a fun dynamic to the story.

I loved both of these characters and their emotional depth - the building on the character is amazing work! These two are relatable as well as people you FEEL like you know. I can’t wait for more, and if you’re looking for a fast-paced, closed-door romance, this is it! As always, make sure you check the triggers🫶🏻

Please note that even though this is the second book in the Frederick Hill series, this review should not contain spoilers as the first book is about Ana and Wyatt.
This book is about Hayden and Sadie.😊

Now to the most important thing:

🥳🥳🥳Happy release day, Bella!🥳🥳🥳

Hayden and Sadie have a past.

A past hidden from everyone they know.

Then it was over.

Now, Sadie has come back after living in NYC for a while.

Hayden, never feeling he got closure, wants answers.

A few chapters in, I feel like I know the whole gang. You might feel that, too, especially if you read the first book, 'Nice to meet you' about Ana and Wyatt.
I can't help it, I like them. 😊

This cosy book is easy to read. The pages flew, and I was kept interested as I wondered if they would end up together again or not.

Good To See You is the second book in the Frederick Hill series which is a second chance romance, and I really enjoyed this book. Sadie and Hayden are so sweet together as they find themselves back in each other's lives after ten years, but with Sadie trying to get her life together, so many unanswered questions from the past and also fearing her brother's reaction they try to keep their relationship a secret. This story has tons of personal growth, emotions, and quickly grabbed my heart as I rooted for Sadie and Hayden to get the HEA they deserved. I definitely recommend reading this story and if you have not read the first book in this series, I highly recommend you do although it is not necessary to read it before this book, I personally think it would make a better reading experience.

I received this book as an ARC, I will be honest to say I did not remember signing up for it but I am glad I did. I did not read the first one because I didn’t know this was #2 but based off this book I am now going to read Nice To Meet You as soon as I can.

I enjoyed the authors build of the characters, the setting and the background she gave us between the MCs. I don’t normally like time jumps because some author do too much, but I found this was the perfect amount to tell you about Sadie and Hayden’s past. I normally don’t like the whole “this act breakup” but it was super short lived. I also loved that it wasn’t a smut book, I may have missed the tropes or got too busy to remember them.

The beginning had me interested and I believe within my first few hours (started this late at night) I was hooked. It did get a little (just a smidge) dry halfway but then picked up.

Sadie and Hayden were madly in love growing up and it all changed 10 years ago when Sadie broke his heart, now she’s back in town can he get the answers to why?

If you love a second chance romance, cute nicknames and childhood soulmates then this book is for you, off page romance eluded too, very YA friendly.

Hayden is a major green flag, and Sadie is an anxious gal who needs all the reassurance she can get!

Flaw of this book was that the characters read very young to me, their actions were more like 23-25 then 27-29, I would have liked to see a little more character progression, I found myself a little more interested in the side characters than the MMC’s.

The writing is good and nice to follow will keep up with Bella’s work!

Sadie flees a dead end relationship and life in New York. She ends up back home and working with former secret boyfriend/her brother’s best friend Hayden. Will she figure out what she really wants?

I thought this was good. I really like Hayden as a character and I enjoyed the scenes he starred in the most. Sadie was a decent FMC but her reasoning for a lot of her decisions was flimsy. There were side characters who kept the story moving. There was zero spice-all closed door and very little affection even mentioned beyond basic kissing. It is part of a series but could be read standalone. Overall, if you like second chance romances (10 years…always! Haha) and brother’s best friend trope, then this is for you.

A second chance romance will never cease to make me weak in the knees and add in brothers best friend and you have my full attention. This was an incredibly sweet and heartwarming story where I went AWWWWW so many times. Sadie and Hayden are just so sweet together and they deserve their HEA regardless of what her brother and his father have to say about it. I will literally fight on their behalf. I can only reach knees and ankles but let's go.
After feeling not good enough for most of her life in her perfect brothers shadows, and living up to the family legacy for him - these two coming together to just be together is just what they need to find peace.
An adorable, quick, and easy read.

This book was an emotional ride in the best way. It had more emotional weight than most of my recent reads, but I was hooked from start to finish. The main characters go through some real struggles, and it made their love story feel so raw and genuine. I loved the MCs’ dynamic—Sadie is the wild, impulsive free spirit, and Hayden is her calm, steady anchor. They complemented each other perfectly. And Sadie’s journey? So good. Watching her find herself again by the end gave me all the feels. If you’re in the mood for a heartfelt romance that’ll have you rooting for the characters the whole way through, this one needs to be on your TBR!
