Thank you, Partner Levine Querido for the free book. My opinions are my own.

What do axolotl, chocolate, and guacamole have in common? They, along with the rest of the A-Z words in this book, are all words in/from Mexican Spanish and/or Aztec and Mesoamerican languages (primarily Nahuatl) and are central to both cultures. Each dual-page spread includes an explanation of the word in both English and Spanish, and is gorgeously illustrated. The bright colors and Aztec-inspired glyphs and illustrations make each concept pop—there is so much to absorb, but not so micy that it’s overwhelming. I highly recommend for families eager to explore Mexican culture and history.

This is a very colorful book. I loved seeing all of the art that I wondered how it was made. One of the pages in the front has a section dedicated to the art, and it was drawn by hand, then digitized and colored online, and I thought it was cool. The book is a bilingual book, so on one page is the English text, and on the other side is the Spanish text. The alphabet is done with words in Spanish, and that was also cool because there are some words that many people who speak Spanish may not know too well, because they can be words in the Aztec language. It is a nice book to learn about the Aztec civilization through the alphabet and the art. Very beautiful and not too busy like "¡Vamos! Let's Go to the Market".
