I really enjoyed this book and getting to know the Sonoran Desert along with Rosie, a small business owner who set out to make remedies out of plants she forages in Arizona. A lot of these are also used for medicinal purposes. She also owns a small business called Arizona Poppy that features local artists. It’s so neat to see people see a need for something and go after it. This book is also beautiful! I really enjoyed looking through the beautiful art and different plants, where they can he found, when they can foraged, what they can be used for. Super fun!

A delightful book for what it is — an art-filled coffeetable book with basic info about some Sonoran desert plants and their potential uses. It’s not meant to be your go-to for extensive scientific information or identification tips, but it’s a cheerful, fun, gorgeous companion book for folks interested in foraging, wildcrafting, and herbalism in the desert. I appreciated the first-person perspective throughout, which gave it character.
