Sib Squad: Flying High!

Rate this book
Bask in the gleeful rebellion of three younger siblings as they seek bold adventures far away from their older siblings in book two of this hilarious early graphic novel series from Pulitzer Prize–winning cartoonist Steve Breen.

The youngest of seven siblings, Lucy, Bruce, and Oliver are sick and tired of being told that they are too little to do the things their older siblings do. In a bout of bored frustration, they band together to form Sib Squad—a club of their own dedicated to having "amazing, mind-blowing adventures." And adventures they have! Award-winning cartoonist Steve Breen crafts a riotously fun look at sibling dynamics that will be beloved by downtrodden younger siblings everywhere.

In Flying High, the siblings take to the sea—where they encounter an unexpected sea monster—and to the sky for airborne escapades. As young readers delve into the trio’s hijinks, they will find themselves struck with uncontrollable giggles and an unquenchable desire to seek adventures of their own.

Adventures with the Youngest Kids

The three youngest children in a family of seven feel left out. Because of that, they formed a club, and named themselves the Sib Squad. They then have wonderful adventures of their own.

They want to give their sister an amazing birthday present, a sea monster. So, they construct a glass bottomed boat in order to do that. But they didn't really think out their plan, and their sea monster hunt is much different than they thought it would be.

In their next adventure, they discover a flying carpet--at a garage sale. They have many places they want to fly to, but they don't end up being in the places they meant, despite the name.

There is lots of fun, adventure, and humor in store for readers of this graphic novel. This is a great book that will bring lots of smiles, if not full-blown laughter. Sea monsters, and flying carpets have never been like this!

Five to nine-year-olds will love this five-star book.

Thanks to Worthy Kids, for providing Tickmenot with a book to review. Opinions are my own.

Didn’t know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised.

It’s a story about 3 younger siblings doing what kids do-creating a great adventure using their imagination. I know kids are going to love this book!!
I really enjoyed how the author wrote it from the kids prospective. A birthday trip for the little sister and a magic carpet ride! Loved it!! It had funny jokes and fun illustrations. I think an older sibling reading this to his younger siblings would be sweet.

I can’t wait to share this book with my great nephews and nieces! I would definitely recommend this book.
