It takes more than it gives…

Most unwanted gifts are eligible for a refund.
Not this one.
I’m its lucky, lucky recipient for life.
And honestly?
I’d give anything for it to disappear. Maybe then, I could disappear too.

Only my vigilante understands this double-edged sword. But he has his own battles.

Hero or villain? I know which one he is, but my theories can’t convince him.
Gifted or cursed? Neither of us knows the answer to that one.
All we know is something in this twisted life made sense for a second.
And now it’s gone.

When your soul is a tortured wasteland, you don’t mind signing it over. A deal is a deal—and nothing can hurt more than this.
Not even Death.

GIFTED is the third book in the Stitch Up series—a dark and steamy romance featuring a strong, independent FMC and the sensitive, tortured MMC she craves.

Stevie Carter is an emerging Australian author of dark romance, sci-fi and urban fantasy.

Stevie never intended on being an author, and promised herself that the Stitch Up Series would be her only literary works. That promise was promptly broken - other stories within the same universe are trying to claw their way to the front of her mind.

"Crave" and the three books that follow were written in bulk, post-breakdown. Stevie doesn't shy away from distressing content and urges you to view the content warnings if you have any known triggers.

Stevie is an iced-coffee-addicted pessimist who can be found hoarding notes for future soul-crushing stories, displaying halloween decor year-round, working on her drawing skills and creating cute crafts.

Gifted had me ugly crying, Stevie really knows how to write emotions in a way that you just can’t not feel them along the characters.

This book picks up right at the shocking end of Home. And we get to process a lot of what happened in book 1 and 2 with Summer and Logan.

A lot of questions are answered about Summer past and we start to understand everything better.

I was glad Logan and Summer finally talked about many things they should have been talking since the beginning.

I CANT WAIT to read the final book and Stevie please give them a happy ending. They deserve it so much 😢

This book was amazing, I love to feel all the feels like this series makes you.

Aaaand I can’t forget to mention that we get more of the hoot spice and chemistry between this couple 🔥

Self Discovery, ‘vigilante pet guard dogs’ and family.

This book shows great inner growth and self discovery of the main characters within their dynamic and the close family and friends that they surround themself with.

Many questions and enigmas from the first two books will be answered and uncovered, with more some more still waiting to be explored. This book will send you through a roller coaster of emotions, laughter, sadness, despair, hopefulness to name a few.

A great look into discovering potential, working through trauma, shared stubbornness of our two favourite morally grey characters and how they strive for something that neither feels they deserves, love.

This well crafted masterpiece has me anticipating the next and final installment of the stitch up series.

Gifted has rendered me in a perpetual state of curiosity, Stevie feeding just enough answers to ensure us readers remain hooked. Not that the new questions and theories didn't do that just fine. Gifted also gave me a much needed break from Eric, I have never longed for a character to simply stop existing so hard before. Learning more about Logan/Vengeance was what I needed, right alongside Summer. Their shared grief was written beautifully, truly drawing me in and making the emotions tangeable. Their pain was something I felt alongside them but the more I read, the more that pain linked its way into hope. I'm eager for the next installment, I need to know what lays ahead for our MMCs. Will they get their happy ending? Will Eric finally get what he deserves. Will my theory on Vulcan's identity prove right?

This book felt LONG-WINDED.

BUT, it did answer a lot of questions that the first 2 books throw at us.

Summer and Logan are a lot to take in. Their story is a lot to take it. As long winded as it was there were definitely parts of this book that had me hooked. I couldn't put it down. Then there were parts that I skimmed through and just wanted to get to the plot.

I lke the direction this series is headed in, I just hope it wraps up in the next book. I would have for things to be long and drawn out.

Arghhhhhh this is not a trilogy!!!!! I have the memory of a gnat and now I’m going have to read them all over again when the next one comes out dammit!

But anyway, great story, great writing, and I’m looking forward to seeing it end badly for someone :)

I received ans ARC.

If I could give this more than 5 I would. This was so hard to put down. Stevie's writing is gripping and addictive. The journey these two have been on is heartbreaking. Some things were answered in this book but oh so many questions now. My heart was healing durin  moments of this journey but then the emotional damage that you gave towards the end. I love thos world and need the answers but I don't want it to end.

This book left me completely speechless and that was after it broke my heart, mended it and then floored me at the end.

Gifted picks up on the emotional heartache of an ending that was HOME!
If you have read Home, you know exactly what I am talking about. (Cry break 😭)

Gifted starts off running, answering some heavy questions. With Summer and Logan needing to come to terms with what their life holds now.

This book had me ugly crying one chapter and then giggling the next. (Crazy I know 🤗)

Gifted is the making of a predator vs prey chase, leaving you on the edge of your seat, trying to put together the clues.

This predator wants to play with and destroy their meal before feasting on the remnants of what’s left of their soul.

Gifted gives us flashbacks of what made Summer who she is today.

Is she:
Summer?
Sitch Up?
Sumar?
Hallie Huxley?
Only Summer will know if she has the strength to delve into the past.

For those that loved CRAVE & HOME will love GIFTED, but I recommend reading the shopping list of triggers that is this book before starting as it is even darker the HOME, and that’s saying something!

You only live, ONCE! 💀
