Well I don't know what to say about this book other than I'm VERY disappointed in how the story went.
From reading the blurb, I kinda got the idea this would be a forbidden love kind of thing, they were in love but couldn't be together cause she was dating his cousin for three years now.
No forbidden love here cause the MCs don't actually give a sh*t :D
Don't know why the boyfriend angle is even there cause it makes absolutely no difference with the relationship between Beau and Ash, only making them absolutely sh*tty characters for doing it.
But OK, I have to admit, I loved the first 30%.
Just loved, it was swoony, Beau is absolutely amazing and I wanted to read everything from his POV <3
But then came Ash...
Let me tell you something about her.
She is dating Sawyer for three years, and doesn't want to have sex with him.
Newsflash woman, when that happens - YOU BREAK UP WITH THE GUY!!!!!
and NOT plan to have sex with a guy you re-friended five days ago.
I think that's what killed the book for me.
I could deal if it was you know, the heat of the moment, they had this attraction and they couldn't help themselves, ok fine...
But here's how it actually happened!
Ash made plans to have sex with Beau while her boyfriend is out of town with his family (he's a good guy btw).
And she made clear to Beau that she doesn't care about Sawyer and cheating him or just anything, she wants to have sex with Beau - BAD!
Beau of course can't help himself because he simply must be inside her ASAP.
So yeah, if it was done differently, I think it wouldn't bother me much, but Ash acting like a b*tch, planning to have sex with a guy she hasn't even talked to except for the last five days...
And I know a lot of people can read books where they don't like the main characters, but for me, both Beau and Ash went from love to hate in that scene, and I simply couldn't read a single page about them, I just couldn't!!! Gah!!!!
And for me, this looks like a book written for adults who like to read YA, I know I'd certainly never ever recommend this one to an actual teenager, with such sh*tty main characters, no way!

It started out great:Chick's(Ashton) boyfriend(Sawyer) goes on some motherfu***ng mountain trip and leaves her all alone with her her stupid religious parents and what's a girl to do than to rekindle her friendship with a towns bad boy(Beau)... Anyway,she hooks up with Beau and when I say she hoops up i mean-the preacher's daughter f***s him in his truck or outside on the grass,I don't remember where it happened. Some relatives come to stay with her family and she can't stop whinning how bitchy her cousin is even though the girl is the most reasonable character in the whole freaking book. She even helps the c**t to choose one guy and lets go of the other. After her boyfriend comes back from camping and eventually finds out about the cheating the whole freaking school bullies her a** and the perfect-now-ex-boyfriend who is by Ashton's 'common' sense not in fact perfect(what a shocker!) does nothing and lets people lynch the stupid cheating whore while Beau is missing. He left so he could deal the fact that his stripper mother had sex with Saw's dad. He and Sawyer are brothers?! *gasps* Moving on... Eventually he also comes back and Ashton is all hot and ready for some bad boy loving. He beats up Sawyer because he didn't defend Ashton against the peeps in school. Sawyer,a question for you:Why didn't you defend your cheating ex girlfriend? *sarcasm* I actually don't see anything wrong in his actions but Beau is a dumb hick who resolves his problems with fists. i totaly didn't see the ending coming: C**t and the hick end up together. And the bi*** says something about their love could last forever and she could see them happily marries. Awww.

I've buddyread this book with my lovely sistah Beatrice. (Click her name to read her beautiful review of this book) :)
The Vincent Boys is a sweet and adorable NA story. It's light, quick, and easy to read. One of the reasons why I opted to read this book is because my love for Abbi Glines is immense. I fell in love with her Rosemary Beach series, and although this book wasn't exactly as good as Rosemary Beach, it still surprised me.
I love Ashton and Beau's story. At first I was so skeptical because of the love triangle thingy and the involvement of the major character Sawyer and especially the fact that there was cheating involved, but believe me when I say that all of these things did not matter as I've read the book because there was nothing seriously heavy about the story. The plot was simple and the peaceful setting was enough to make me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
This book was not perfect in terms of overall impact. The characters have flaws but the good thing is, there was an emotional depth in the story and there was a remakrable closure which made me smile in the end. And oh, who doesn't love a hot, gorgeous bad boy like Beau who does everything to protect his girl? *SWOONS! Overall, it's a nice guilty-pleasure and feel-good book-- something that basically cures reading slumps. I recommend this to NA lovers like me! :))

This is one hot and steamy story! Don't plan on doing anything else when you start this. I found I couldn't put it down! (I apologize up-front for the over usage of: !s and all-around gushing).
Ashton, Beau, and Sawyer were inseparable childhood friends. Beau and Sawyer, "the Vincent boys" are cousins, but its Ashton and Beau who are close. These two are the town's little hell-raisers, and Sawyer is the one usually bailing them out of trouble, and encouraging them to mend their ways. All this changes though when both boys began to notice Ash in a different way. Sawyer is first to make a move, and Ash, thinking Beau isn't interested in her in that way, accepts him. So they've been the "perfect" couple for the last three years. He's the star quarterback, son of a respectable businessman (Beau's uncle), and always beside her at church on Sunday. Ash struggles to be the perfect girlfriend, always worried that she doesn't measure up to Sawyer. She squashes out the urges she has to have fun, go wild, and have some heat with her boyfriend. If she shows some of these urges, Sawyer does his best to squelch those tendencies. Beau on the other hand is as wild as he ever has been. He's the son of the "wild" Vincent brother, who died years ago. Sure he's on the football team, same as Sawyer, but he doesn't care what people think, and doesn't put up pretenses. Beau and Ash hardly say two words to each other anymore. However, when Sawyer goes on vacation with his family for the summer, Ash and Beau start hanging out all the time. Let the sexual tension begin, and OH, MY GOODNESS, prepare yourself for shirtless Beau!!
I have to say that for a YA, this is very steamy! Beau is in the top five book-boyfriend category (yes, I know I'm pathetic)! I get weak in the knees just thinking about him. I just love everything that comes out of his mouth. I loved this scene:
Beau's gaze made my cheeks flush. A pleased grin touched his lips and I suddenly wanted to know how those lips would feel pressed against mine. I couldn't take my eyes off them……"You're gonna have to stop doing that Ash," Beau whispered huskily and closed the space between us. His body was suddenly pressed against mine……."Ash, I'm trying real hard to be good…….Please remember I've got my limits and you studying my mouth like you want a taste is pushing me dangerously close to the edge of those limits."
You wonder how this is all going to play out, because Ash is the girlfriend of Beau's cousin and best friend. Things were bound to get messy, and I worried that it would ruin the story for me. But I thought Abbi Glines did an excellent job handling this sticky situation. I have to say this is an excellent lesson for anyone dating. A guy/girl must love you for who you are, not who they want you to be.
I highly recommend this for anyone who wants a fun, passionate read. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Well, I didn't expect this... I thought it would be some sweet YA story, but it was quite hot, damn!, in those few sex scenes, Beau was deliciously dirty.
Anyway, we have Ashton, who apparaently chose to date wrong Vincent boy few years prior. Now, her boyfriend (the good and proper one) Sawyer Vincent is out of town for the summer and she spends it with Beau Vincent - his cousin, the town bad boy. The three of them used to be best friends but ever since Ash and Sawyer started dating, Beau became distant. But it was Beau who was her partner in crime while doing crazy things when they were kids. While the summer goes by, Ash and Beau get close again, they rekindle their friendship and even more. Sawyer comes back and then there is drama…
I was cheering for the bad boy Beau all the time because you can’t help but feel they are destined to be together.
If you are into high school angst and Abbi Gline’s drama, this one will definitely work.

First off, Abbi Glines is amazing.
Secondly, ok, let's be real.
About half way through this book, I contemplated putting it down. Not that the story wasn't good, but because I was so emotional about it and I didn't see a way for anyone, not anyone, to have a happy ending. I was saying to myself, "Abbi, how dare you! You hook me and then break my heart!!"
But of course, Abbi knows how to finagle a story. The way she brings all things in, all people, all walks of life makes for a beautiful story. Though it may hurt me to read it all, it was beautiful nonetheless.
Anybody who knows me at this point knows I don't like love triangles. I just don't like to read them, for some reason it doesn't sit well with me. I'm not terribly fond of Ash... Anyone who has the mentality of "I'm gonna do what I want to do because I've got to follow my heart and I don't care who's hurt in the process" grates me.
BUT! :)
She's real. She's human, she's just like thirty girls I knew in high school. She's just spent so long trying to please everyone but herself, trying to figure out how to make everything work in harmony, trying to be who everyone wants her to be, and for the love of all please her parents, that in the end she had no other choice but to rebel and blow up. It's one of those lessons learned.
I'm so glad that I finished it and got to see how Abbi finished things up in a way that satisfied everyone as much as they could be. Sawyer was SOOO sweet in the end for someone who'd been betrayed that way. And Beau, gosh, you can't help but feel for him no matter the things he did before Ash. But I loved his protectiveness, even when she wasn't his. I love it when a guy is possessive in a sweet way. It was so real to me, it was like watching a movie.
So thank you, Abbi. We all make mistakes, some extremely costly and stupid, some that hurt everyone involved and some that only hurt ourselves, but in the end the point is to learn from them and don't judge a book or person by its cover (no pun intended b\c the cover is gorgeous) and above all, you can't live your life with regret and hate. You just can't.

I haven't written a review in... months, but I feel so strongly about this book I can't help putting down my opinion here.
Oh my.
Is this a book?
If it weren't from the fact that it was free I'd be pissed. And I thought it would be a safe bet.
Where should I start from? The tons of grammatical mistakes? The terrible, terrible dialogues missing all punctuation?
The story so similar to Liz Reinhardt's Junk Miles which she managed to write way better?
The unbelievable plot where a girl stays for three years with a boy while she secretly is in love with his cousin? The lying, double-faced heroine who was supposed to have a backbone? Or the conservative father who changes his mind conveniently right at the end?
NOTHING worked in this book for me.
I was hoping in some steamy smutty scenes at least but NO! they got cut out. And it's not like they were hinted at in a tasteful way, they were just NOT THERE.
A total disappointment.

4 Sexy Stars!
And THAT is how you handle a love triangle...
Abbi Glines astounds me! Her writing is so consistently brilliant and the excitement in turning that first page always makes me feel as if I'm unwrapping a gift. Her heroes display the perfect ratio of bad boy and sweetheart qualities...and those sexy Vincent boys are no exception! That said, I still find Abbi's characters to be distinct and vary considerably from book to book—never giving me the feeling that I've met a character before in a different series.
The Vincent Boys: Extended and Uncut basically takes the original story and spices it up with generous amounts of delicious, New Adult steam! If you're an Abbi Glines fan, you know just how detailed and realistic these jaw dropping, eye popping, mouth watering scenes are. Brilliant!
Ashton is a preacher's daughter striving for perfection, but never quite feels connected to the innocent persona she's created in the hopes of pleasing her 'perfect' boyfriend, Sawyer. I loved seeing her growth in character, and her bumpy journey to self-discovery.
Sawyer Vincent represents good and kindness; simplicity and safety. With the perfect parents and home life, he seemingly has it all--even the beautiful Ashton.
Beau Vincent is known as the town bad boy with a solid playboy status and a heartbreaking upbringing. He stands for all which is opposite of his cousin Sawyer. These three have been friends since childhood until a betrayal threatens to tear them apart...
I'm usually not a fan of love triangles and all the drama and tension involved, but this one was executed perfectly. It's always easier when one character has a smaller role in the story, and when we are able to identify who is more obviously suited for the other; this tends to make the triangle more justifiable.
I loved the connection and passion between the characters and the way a simple kiss was transformed into a tantalizing, sexy love scene. This amazing story not only grabbed my attention, but allowed me to leave behind my own reality and just live in the world of the Vincent Boys for a while—and I love that about Abbi's writing. Looking forward to more of this exciting journey!

I could live through anything if I could be promised that I'd always have this. Ashton in my arms. She was all I needed. Ever.
I loved the connection and passion between the characters and the way a simple kiss was transformed into a tantalizing, sexy love scene. This amazing story not only grabbed my attention, but allowed me to leave behind my own reality and just live in the world of the Vincent Boys for a while—and I love that about Abbi's writing. Looking forward to more of this exciting journey!

Too much angst and not enough romance. But I 100% only read this because i wanted something light, corny, and obnoxious, and this definitely delivered that even if the relationship was a bit dry and upsetting because it was based on cheating

The Vincent Boys is simply fantastic. The story of a girl whose heart is torn between two boys, her perfect boyfriend Sawyer who is loved and admired by all and his cousin Beau, the local bad boy who is sexy and irresistible.
There are several reasons why I think The Vincent Boys is incredible and here are just a few of them.
Even though it is a YA book it is a lot more mature and sexy than most, so if like me you are on the higher side of the young adult age bracket (or are older than that) and are a little fed up with romance that is on the level of what a 13 year old would experience then this is perfect. (The new version has a few extra steamy scenes and is a full NA novel)
Abbi Glines is amazing at writing beautiful romances which still have a strong plot. Every single aspect of her writing is excellent and you won’t find anything lacking. The characters are well developed, they have their good and bad points and they seem like real people (some I wish were real). Every second of the story seems so real and you can almost see it happening around you.
Ashton is a pretty great main character, she starts off just wanting to please everyone and be perfect but throughout the book you get to see her growth and development as she realises that is not the most important thing in life.
Finally, the best thing about this book and why reading it isn’t an option but a necessity, Beau Vincent. The guy is just hot. Each snarky, sexy word out of his mouth will make you weak at the knees and you will wish you were Ashton. In fact you will wish that he was real. He is truly just the ultimate bad boy that all bad boys in any future book should be based on.
I definitely recommend this book, it is one of my all-time favourites and I am sure that it will be yours too.

Wow! I just finished this book in one sitting. I could. not. put. it. down! Talk about steamy!!! I'm pretty sure I'm in love with Beau. Like seriously in love. What a great, great book!!!

Fu così che Ashton e "Bo'" incominciarono a slinguazzare spensierati, a giocare a biliardo, a fare le capriole nei posti più romantici del mondo (…) e a sentirsi in colpa per 300 pagine. Ma alla finela voglia l'amore ha preso il sopravvento, e tutti ma non Sawyer vissero felici e contenti.

Bene. Partiamo dalla mia reazione nel leggere il prologo.
La prima cosa che ho pensato è stata: è scritto di m*rda. Andiamo a controllare la versione originale, allora. E’ scritta di stra-m*rda pure quella.
Poi penso: vabbè, sarà che sono bambini (si parla di sette anni prima)...
Col senno di poi mi rendo conto che tutto fa semplicemente cagare, dal prologo all'epilogo.
Ma ditemi voi se è normale che una ragazza che non premedita di mettere le corna al suo ragazzo, si mette a fare le seguenti cose:
- se ne va a fare quattro tuffi, esibendo il suo bikini migliore, con il suo ex migliore amico, che guarda caso è anche un figo da paura . Metteteci anche che lei non è immune al suo fascino, che qualsiasi cosa lui faccia – anche semplicemente sputare a terra – la fa arrapare;
- s’incazza come una bestia parlando della tipa di lui;
- va dicendo “io col mio ragazzo non faccio niente, a parte dargli quattro bacini, ma vorrei sperimentare altro”;
- invitare il suddetto "amico" a casa per un film, mettersi un abito cortissimo per stare a casa e sentirsi COMODA, annusarlo perché sa di sapone, ritrovarsi a toccarlo dappertutto . Ma come fai a non accorgerti che stai palpando una tartaruga, che gli ti stai strusciando addosso? .____.
- prende da lui lezioni di biliardo. Palle, buche… corpo di lui che aderisce da dietro a lei inclinata sul tavolo, con la stecca in mano…
"Quello era stato l’appuntamento più divertente che avessi mai avuto. Be’, anche se di fatto non era un appuntamento vero e proprio. Quando ero con Beau ridevo più che in qualsiasi altra situazione."
Ma davvero? Mi sembrava di aver capito che foste impegnati a mangiarvi con gli occhi e basta.
Mi devo esser persa la parte in cui si ride.
Poi succede qualcosa di inaspettato.
La nonna di Ashton (quella che sbavava vedendo l'aspirante ragazzo di sua nipote a torso nudo) muore. Che il dolore della ragazza venga usato come scusa per farli, ehm, “accoppiare”?

Pre-read: So apparently I'm going to end up reading this because I realized, in belated measure, that I actually *own* this book. (I honestly do not remember getting this at all - I guess it was either a Kindle Freebie or I got it for .99 when it was on sale, gah).
Would be against my nature to not read it since it's in my library, but here's to hoping it's better than I think it will be.
Post read: I'm having a war of ratings between my head and my gut. My gut's telling me to rate this 1-star and unload about how much I detested the characters, the situations and the over-the-top melodrama. Not to mention the slut-shaming, the sexual harassment, the over-glorified sex-scenes, and the overarching misogyny and stupid, stupid actions of the characters. But my head's telling me that this really wasn't the worst NA title I've picked up and surprisingly, I read through this relatively quickly - I didn't put it down in the duration of reading it (unless I had to).
I think my rating's in limbo (it'll be somewhere between 1 and 1.5 stars), but my thoughts on the book remain the same. It was pretty typical New Adult and I did not like the characters or the cheating measures. At least there were attempts at the characters trying to work out their issues. I just felt it was too much and unrealistic for what it had to offer. Plus so many things turned me off this that I've read handled better in more mature (read: in development) narratives.
Yet another disconnect: there were times when I completely forgot this was a high school story - the characters seemed much older to me.

Turns out my head won the fight on this one, but barely. This is the first book I've read by Abbi Glines, and from the way that "The Vincent Boys" comes across, I'm not sure if I'm going to pick up another. I wasn't going to pick this one up originally from what some reviews had stated about the content (one of my friends even held strong comparisons of it to "Beautiful Disaster" by Jamie McGuire, which if many of you know, I had some very notable issues with that book and its respective sequel).
I think what tipped the rating in this particular case was the fact that this book kept me reading, I didn't put it down the whole time I picked it up, and usually if it can keep my attention and hold it, it's doing something right *somewhere*. But there a lot of things wrong about "Vincent Boys" that bothered me to heck and back, so you might as well say - the 0.5 addition to this rating was only because it had a strong audio version (which I listened to in conjunction with my free Kindle copy - the only difference between the Extended and Uncut version with the original was that it had more sexy times, and that was to the detriment of the story, imho.)
It takes place in a high school environment. Honestly, the characters seemed much older than that, particularly with the way the sexy times in this book were written. It shocked me that I kept forgetting that these characters were in high school. I guess it shouldn't considering the major mentions of their families having control in their lives and the bullying that Ash goes through later in the book, but there was a disconnect there in that this narrative felt like it was telling the stories of much older protagonists than teenagers, to me at least.
Ashton is a preacher's daughter, the good girl with the seemingly perfect life, perfect boyfriend, perfect grades, perfect church attendance, perfect...well just about everything. (Yeah, I know. My Mary Sue radar was skipping off the tracks MANY times.) But Ash wants to be a "bad" girl, she doesn't think she's being honest with herself and just wants to let loose a bit.
Normally I would be all for characters coming to terms with themselves and learning their respective life wasn't the one they wanted and they needed to find another route, but this book was all drama. I'll explain further.
She used to be friends with the local bad boy (Beau), who's really close with Ash's current boyfriend (Sawyer, who just happens to be Beau's "cousin" if you will). When Sawyer's away, Ash and Beau kinda...well, "hook up" is a bit of an understatement. They rekindle their friendship and become lust heavy. They jump together faster than bunny rabbits, and their characters are so intensely unlikable that I just about threw my Ipod across the room - especially with the "I can, I can't have you, I'm jealous" go-betweens that constantly occur. When Sawyer returns, Ash and Beau do their best to keep their relationship quiet, but it's pretty obvious to everyone, except for Sawyer, that the two are growing closer.
When the shoe finally drops, all heck breaks loose. And from there, it's a series of dramatic go betweens that have to do with Beau, Ash, and Sawyer getting caught in the whirlwind of revelations and cruelty games.
I did see parts of this narrative that at least *attempted* to have the characters come to terms with the fact that there was a cheating relationship, that sentiments were realized and personal flaws exposed, but it felt like those were passing marks in comparison to the drama and its flares. Not to mention the many typical New Adult offenses - rampant slut shaming, sexual harassment (which at one point made the main character *cry*), bullying, misogyny, girl-on-girl hating, among other things. The religious stereotyping also really got to me in this book. It was like Glines took every possible stereotype you could have in the romantic scheme, plus added sex to the equation, and just pushed all of it into one lump of clay and tried to mold it only to come out with a sloppy result. It may have had its conflict resolution moments, but those were overshadowed by the obvious pandering towards the chosen relationship. That didn't sit well with me at all.
I hated almost all of the characters, certainly the main three. Ash, Beau and Sawyer were incomprehensibly insufferable, but usually if I can follow a narrative where a character's train of thought and establishments are sound, I can get behind unlikable characters. I realize that you don't have to like the characters to like a story, I've picked up plenty of YA/NA books where I didn't necessarily like the characters, but I still followed them well because their establishments were sound. In Glines's narrative, I struggled with this. I thought there were moments where I could understand the pressures the characters were going through, but the story pulled the rug out from under me too many times with the overdrama and the obvious plot points trying to make the purported relationship work. It was manipulative. It didn't feel realistic.
Overall, I couldn't recommend "The Vincent Boys" - the writing itself wasn't that strong (but admittedly it kept me reading to see what happened next), the story itself was over the top in its drama, and it just felt like it threw every cliche and every offense against the wall in New Adult that it could do, and then some. I didn't care for it. The only reason I give it an extra 0.5 star is because the audiobook narration was decent in performance from Kirby Heybourne and Shayna Thibodeaux, and because it kept me reading throughout. It's not the worst NA book I've read, but it had a lot of trigger points that rubbed me the wrong way.

2.5 stars. My low rating is only for some strange behavior quirks but The Vincent Boys wasn't a bad way to pass a couple of hours, even if the book had a few moments that I could have lived without.
For the most part, this was a quick, simple, and somewhat entertaining love story - with a few glaring flaws.
Beau - He's the stereotypical bad boy in a stereotypical story. He's hot; he knows it; he flaunts it. Yet, he has a soft side because he carries a torch for the one girl he's always wanted but could not have.
For a moment, I was having Cage and Willow deja vu, even though I knew this book came before Because of Low. I'm pretty sure when I eventually read Cage's book I'll have Beau deja vu.
I am an admitted bad boy lover, but I don't think calling your promiscuous girlfriend a whore (multiple times) gives you an extra hole punch on the bad boy card. The previous sleeping around I get (as long as he's not attached, who am I to judge?) but insulting your girlfriend after you sleep with her? That's pretty low class. How about beating up on your cousin multiple times when not every situation needed to go that far? Hey, I like a protective man who will defend you by kicking ass as much as the next girl, but there's fine line between being protective and being a jackass.
"Girl you should've seen the bloody mess Beau made of Ryan's face. He beat the crap out of him. It was hot."
Okay, so maybe Ryan deserved it. But when Beau turned around and did the same thing to Sawyer...eh. A small bitch slap would have sufficed. Rage beating someone when they didn't do anything except not stand up for another person is a bit extreme.
That said, even with the shenanigans, Beau was still my favorite character because at least he had some sort of personality, flaws and all. It's hard not to be a little crazy about a romantic lead when you're reading inside of a guy's head and he's thinking about how much he wants this one person and would do anything to get her. This is why romance readers like romance, after all. The giddy feelings are fun.
Sawyer - Yawn. He better go extra bad in book 2 because no one wants to read about a guy who has the personality of a postage stamp.
Ashton (Ash) - Pretty blonde with curly hair, long legs, a tan, and a nice body - yet she thinks she's no beauty queen. Been there, read that. I think this character was recycled from Breathe.
She strings along Beau for the sake of not wanting to hurt Sawyer. It's Thoughtless the junior version, complete with all of the crying and some of the blushing.
This being the fourth book I've read by Glines now, I'm gathering that this author tends to write within her comfort zone. The characters and stories don't change all that much between series, other than little differences here and there.
The editing errors were pretty noticeable. 'Your' and 'you're' were switched multiple times, as were 'to' and 'too.' It wasn't enough to take me out of story but I thought I'd include it in the review in case that is a factor for someone else.
So really...are there positives?
Yes. If you like love stories that are easy to sink into and know that you'll get that happy little shiver over reading about a guy who will stop at nothing to keep the girl he loves safe, this book's probably a safe bet to work for you. The book is honestly not a bad read...it's just got some hiccups along the way. The story is nothing new or earth shattering, but entertaining doesn't always need to be. I enjoyed the read and still liked Beau for all of his misguided ways. I'll probably check out the next book just to see what trouble Sawyer can get into.

Sometimes I hate it when I think of a book I've read before because the more I think of it then the more I want to reread it and I really don't have that sort of time (which I fucking hate!) but the second I thought of THE VINCENT BOYS by Abbi Glines yesterday at work then it was fucking set in stone; I WAS going to reread that fucker!
Oh Beau *sigh* I didn't think I could love you anymore than I did the first time round but you have literally just warmed my heart and set my vagina on fire!! I want to lose my virginity in the back of your pickup truck! Like for real! It's going to happen!
And Ash, you are a fucking DOLL! I just adore you!

RATING: 3.5-4 "Lucifer was Beautiful" Hearts!! :D
The Vincent Boys is a cute and charming YA read, combining the best of drama, angst and romance as is customary with teenagers at the tender age of eighteen, and giving us a good story and likeable characters in its entirety.
Ashton is a heroine who is—to a certain extent—easy to understand and relate with despite her immoral and at times angering actions. She’s young and stuck between the love of two boys, and her dilemma to be with the one she loves and not hurt the other is believable. Although, . I love how she develops as a heroine, and makes her final choice based on what she wants and takes her time with that decision instead of just jumping in feet first with no care for anyone else’s feelings. Though, Beau helps her with that. Instead of being impatient and reckless, he takes a step back recognizing the position Ashton is in, and never once forces her to choose or makes her decisions for her. He is sweet, sexy and protective, and the two of them together are simultaneously hot, oozing sexual tension and just delightful.
In spite of our helpless reaction to cringe every time there is a love triangle in a book, Ms. Glines doesn’t make us suffer, rather makes this trope work by making it easy for us to choose Beau over Sawyer as the victor of the battle of our hearts.
Overall, The Vincent Boys is an entertaining and light read. I am definitely looking forward to Sawyer’s story next!

Wow! Abbi Glines knows how to write a bad boy.
I loved being in Beau's head and hearing what he was thinking. Beau totally stole the show in this book. Ashton said it best, "When did you get all sweet and charming?" Every girl wants a bad boy who will be good just for her!
I'm not a fan of love triangles and that is one of reasons why I didn't like the book Thoughtless. Even though this book was about a love triangle I totally loved it. Abbi Glines did a great job portraying their story.

As always, Abbi Glines' novels are quick and easy to read. It never fails to get out of my reading slump. The story might be cliche but it's a guilty pleasure and I don't really mind love triangles.
Let's talk about the heroine: Ashton Gray. People recognized her as a preacher's daughter and as much as possible, she stays good in the eyes of many. She have been an obedient child to her parents and a perfect girlfriend to Sawyer Vincent. Whenever she's around with Beau Vincent, the bad boy in their town who happens to be Sawyer's cousin, she feels carefree on who she really is. These three were best friends during their childhood years. They have an adorable friendship and it's really nice to see that bond. Things changed as they grew up when they boys see Ash differently.
To be honest, I can't help but be annoyed with Ash. It's wrong to go behind Sawyer's back while he's away during Summer for Beau. Trying to understand her character, it's like she loved the wrong boy in the very beginning. I know it sounds wrong but at least she's honest about it. It's hard to be with someone but you're not really head over heels with that person. What she did is unforgivable, I like that she didn't set aside the issue. She had closure between the two guys and ended up with the right. I think it's enough for me to see that.
What really gets on my nerves: Ash's Father. What kind of a preacher who calls someone a 'wild card' or a 'white trash'. How fucking judgmental. He maybe sorry about it but NAH. He reads a bible and should KNOW it's not good to judge someone. Sorry but it really ticked me off.
Set aside the bad vibes. I seriously love BEAU VINCENT. Bad boys never failed to make me swoon and oh boy, I love Beau. The guy just fights for the girl he wants. He is a sexy, swoon-worthy bad boy. Overall, it's an enjoyable read and I really liked it.On the first half of this book, I'm decided to give it 3 stars but the last few chapters saved it. (Thank goodness!) #TeamBeauAlltheWay :)

Abbi Glines has a way with the boys! The Vincent Boys stole my heart and earned an all inclusive stay in my daydreams!
Beau, Sawyer, and Ashton shared trouble and love while growing up in a small, southern town filled with gossip, gossip, and more gossip. The Vincent family is the town’s star attraction and main source of gossip. Sawyer fills the all around Mr. Perfect, good boy role. Beau balances out the town with his beautiful bad boy reputation. Every town needs a bad boy—thank goodness! The boy makes senior citizens stop and stare! :D And then there was Ashton—the preacher’s daughter. Yes, I said preacher’s daughter! Giggle, giggle. I love this book! You stir those three up with love, gossip, and a fair amount of steamy attraction and tension—well you get one HOT story!
This story was filled with romance and sexual tension, but a lot was going on underneath as well. Strong themes of being true to yourself and looking beyond one’s reputation are developed and explored with all the characters. Ashton’s character especially showed readers how easy it is to get lost in someone else’s shadow or image. Hold on to who you are and be yourself are two strong and wonderful messages for readers of any age to embrace.
With just the right amount of southern hospitality and small town cattiness, this story creates a warm and cozy world that will pull you right in. Ms. Glines uses the open land, swimming holes, and southern heat all to her advantage. A shirtless Beau will make your belly flip flop! My stomach dropped a few times whenever Beau put his feelings about Ashton and Sawyer into words. He has this warm, but fierce way with words and emotions. I do feel like readers get a bit jipped concerning Beau’s view and feelings with a major development near the end of the book though. But we always want more—it’s a sign of a strong book and author. Always leave us wanting more!
The Vincent Boys will make you swoon, smile, and never look at a stick shift quite the same way again! Have fun with the boys, y’all. I know I did. :D

Aaah, I feel so bad for loving such a morally wrong book! Lol! I know I shouldn't want characters to be deceptive, cheating and hurtful, but I looove Ashton and Beau together!
My heart did break for Sawyer though. Just needed to put that out there, before I condemn myself as a cold hearted bitch. Oh, bless Sawyer. He did nothing wrong, he was a sweet, kind, gorgeous, loving boyfriend and they hurt him. :( I do feel, strongly, in real life, that there is no excuse for infidelity and lies, like those of Ash and Beau's, but my God does it make for a good read.
“Trouble can be a lot of fun. It's the straight and narrow that makes life tedious and boring.”
The sexual tension was palpable. The Vincent Boys made me heart race, it put knots in my stomach and a lump in my throat, on numerous occasions.
I really wondered if I might struggle to like Ashton, when I realised the direction the story was headed, but for some reason, I didn't. I wanted her and Beau to end up together, despite feeling for Sawyer, and I can only attribute this empathy to great writing.
Beau's arms slipped around my waist. I knew I should step away but I couldn't make myself. This was home. Being in his arms like this was where I found peace.
I downloaded the uncut version afterwards, out of curiosity, and flicked to the good bits. It did make the story much more intense and it made me connect, with Beau particularly, even more. I felt his pain and his loss more, at Sawyer's return, and I felt his need at the ending, having read more detailed descriptions of what he and Ash had shared. I think it made quite a difference and just illustrates the power of a connection between two people sexually and the heightened intensity and complication of emotions that are brought about when sex is introduced.

At the moment, I am Team Beau, but that's because I think Beau is right for Ashton. I have no doubt that after reading the next book, I will be Team Sawyer. I think it's safe to say that both of the Vincent Boys are pretty damn gorgeous and I wouldn't mind me either one of them. ;)

Not a big Beau and Ashton fan.
Whether or not Sawyer knew the real Ashton or thought she was too perfect, cheating is not romantic. Oh poor Ashton your boyfriend thinks you are too perfect what a real bummer why don't you go cheat on him with his cousin?!?!?!?!?! Ashton and Beau haven't spoken in years, then all of a sudden as soon as her boyfriend is out of town they are all over each other?!?! Gross. I stopped reading before I got really upset.

Something is definitely wrong with this story, but ooooh I loved Beau way too much to care about anything else.
The Vincent Boys are two cousins and they both love the same girl they’ve been friends with since they were 5-6 years old. Sawyer - the good boy, the town’s Prince, the perfect one - claimed Ashton as his three years ago. Beau - the badass, the true alpha, the town’s pariah distanced himself and let them be. Ashton - the preacher’s daughter, the town’s Princess, the church going, Good Samaritan, secretly loves Beau, not really her boyfriend, Sawyer. 🙄
Sawyer takes a family vacation, leaving Beau and Ashton to get closer, and closer, and closer... until
So, you see, of course the moral side of me wants to blame both Ashton and Beau for cheating on Sawyer. I really wanted to slap Ash a couple of times, but yet, I got sucked in her feelings towards Beau, and I forgot about the slapping.
I want to be honest and confess that even though all is truly messed up, reading it, it felt also right. I mean, Beau and Ashton are really made for each other and there’s no way to fight the attraction and chemistry between soul-mates, right?
So, this should count as a simple “guilty-pleasure novel”, where I don’t get to judge the plot, the characters, nothing. I just enjoyed Beau and his alpha-caveman tendencies, put him on my bookboyfriends’ list and that’s all.

I love Beau, where the hell was he when I was growing up ?!? What was it about this book that I loved so much; it was the feeling of falling in love, a soul deep connection that never dies, that promise of your one-true-love. Beau was so protective of Ash, and made sure that she was always taken care of even when she wasn't his. Ash’s inner battle was frustrating at first; you wanted to yell at her for caring what anyone thought of her, thinking she needed to be the good girl everyone expected her to be when all she want to do was be free to be.
Rewind: Beau, Sawyer and Ash were the best of friends, Beau and Sawyer are cousins and complete opposites; Beau’s a bastard son with a good for nothin’ mama, and Sawyer is the town’s prince. Beau and Ash were the troublemakers and Sawyer was the one to always bail them out, with Beau taking all the blame. Beau and Ash were always drawn to each other, but when they started noticing the changes in Ash, from girl to woman everything changed, Sawyer took the chance and got the girl, while Beau was pushed aside knowing that he wasn’t good enough for her.
Ash and Sawyer have been together for three years, during the summer before their senior year, Sawyer goes on a family trip and Ash left alone, she runs into Beau and his bitchy girlfriend Nicole one night, and it’s the first time they had a chance to talk about what happened to their friendship. Ash has changed no longer the bad girl he remembers, but the preacher’s prim and proper daughter. Ash needed to let the real Ash out, and she only ever felt safe with Beau, he never judged her and knew her better than anyone else. She didn’t need to be the perfect person that her mom, dad, Sawyer and the town expected her to be.
They know what they’re doing is wrong, they know they’re gonna end up hurting Sawyer, but it’s unavoidable. When Ash’s loses the only other person who loved her unconditionally, Beau is there to help her get through it all. Beau never expected her to be perfect, he loved her just the way she is.
Although the characters were in their senior year in high school, it was hard to picture them when they acted much older that your normal teens. This book did revolve around cheating but it not like the other books where they cheat and there are no consequences, this was quite realistic in that sense, Beau and Ash has to own up to their mistakes.
I was totally in the mood for a YA book, this brought out some memories of the crazy shift I did when I was younger, totally loved every bit of it. I’ll hold off on the 2nd book for now until the mood hits me again.

I love Beau, where the hell was he when I was growing up ?!? What was it about this book that I loved so much; it was the feeling of falling in love, a soul deep connection that never dies, that promise of your one-true-love. Beau was so protective of Ash, and made sure that she was always taken care of even when she wasn't his. Ash’s inner battle was frustrating at first; you wanted to yell at her for caring what anyone thought of her, thinking she needed to be the good girl everyone expected her to be when all she want to do was be free to be.
”There was a peace in his arms I'd never experience with Sawyer. It was as if I'd come home after years of searching.”
Rewind: Beau, Sawyer and Ash were the best of friends, Beau and Sawyer are cousins and complete opposites; Beau’s a bastard son with a good for nothin’ mama, and Sawyer is the town’s prince. Beau and Ash were the troublemakers and Sawyer was the one to always bail them out, with Beau taking all the blame. Beau and Ash were always drawn to each other, but when they started noticing the changes in Ash, from girl to woman everything changed, Sawyer took the chance and got the girl, while Beau was pushed aside knowing that he wasn’t good enough for her.
”He’d finally won the prize I’d thought was mine.”
Ash and Sawyer have been together for three years, during the summer before their senior year, Sawyer goes on a family trip and Ash left alone, she runs into Beau and his bitchy girlfriend Nicole one night, and it’s the first time they had a chance to talk about what happened to their friendship. Ash has changed no longer the bad girl he remembers, but the preacher’s prim and proper daughter. Ash needed to let the real Ash out, and she only ever felt safe with Beau, he never judged her and knew her better than anyone else. She didn’t need to be the perfect person that her mom, dad, Sawyer and the town expected her to be.
”Because I want you. Just you. The girl I know is in there hiding from the world. I want my Ash back.”
They know what they’re doing is wrong, they know they’re gonna end up hurting Sawyer, but it’s unavoidable. When Ash’s loses the only other person who loved her unconditionally, Beau is there to help her get through it all. Beau never expected her to be perfect, he loved her just the way she is.
”Ash, I’m trying real hard to be good. Good isn’t my thing, but Sawyer’s important to me. Please remember I’ve got my limits, and you studying my mouth like you want a taste is pushing me dangerously close to the edge of those limits.”
Although the characters were in their senior year in high school, it was hard to picture them when they acted much older that your normal teens. This book did revolve around cheating but it not like the other books where they cheat and there are no consequences, this was quite realistic in that sense, Beau and Ash has to own up to their mistakes.
I was totally in the mood for a YA book, this brought out some memories of the crazy shift I did when I was younger, totally loved every bit of it. I’ll hold off on the 2nd book for now until the mood hits me again.

I have a confession to make. I uploaded Kindle on PC at work because of this book. I wasn't going to, I swear! But I kept reading some glowing reviews that I just had to check it out myself. As soon as I got to the first two pages, I pretty much kissed productivity goodbye. I'm awful, I know! I have to uninstall this program before the IT gets wind of it. Can you imagine how much trouble I'm going to be in? I shudder to think.
This is quite possibly one of my favourite contemporary lit of the year. It was so addicting that I barely noticed the time passing. Before I knew it, a work day had passed and 8.5 hours were spent...well, not working.
Meet Ashton, Sawyer and Beau - best of friends since they were kids. Growing up, Ashton and Beau were the quintessential trouble makers and Sawyer was the one who'd had to constantly bail them out of trouble. They were inseparable until Ashton and Sawyer became an item, forcing Beau to the sidelines. Ashton changed dramatically from the wild child to the prototypical preacher's daughter just to keep the perfect veneer that everyone expected from her. They eventually grew apart, to the point that Beau didn't even know who Ashton was anymore. Heck, some days, Ashton didn't even know Ashton anymore. But deep inside, Beau knows that the real Ashton he loved from afar and for so long was still hanging around her goody-two-shoes persona, bursting to come alive. All he had to do was help her realize that perfection is as fabled as unicorns.
I'm a sucker for bad boys, and man Beau played this character to a T. He's mischief and swagger and compassion all rolled into one frustrated hot mess. Unlike every other bad boy characters I've read as of late, he didn't make me want to yank my hair out in utter aggravation. He didn't go out of his way to be a jerk to Ash. In fact, I actually loved the way he needled her to bring out her true personality.
I think this is the FIRST ever love triangle that I could honestly say I truly enjoyed reading. I've figured it out that the annoyance usually come from a character whose feelings waffle between the other two sides. It drives me up the wall! But here, Ash's reluctance to be with Beau stemmed from the fact that she would be the reason for the possible wedge between Beau and Sawyer. I thought her selflessness was commendable. She was willing to valiantly walk out of the boys' lives for their sakes.
The romance between Beau and Ash was sizzling hot; so hot that I'm not quite sure if this fits the YA tag. But I'm not the tag police so I couldn't really care less. Just a heads up though, there was a word that was used that I don't really think is suitable for the YA audience. I won't even mention it. And please don't think that I'm conservative. I'm far from it. Heck, I don't even know if this book is being marketed as YA, so maybe this little reminder is moot.
Anyway, I really love this book. The writing was fresh and straightforward. I couldn't ask for a better book to risk getting in a whole slew of trouble at work.
So why the four star rating? There were some minor...very, very, very minor editing miscues (bare instead of bear, and since instead of sense). I have a Kindle copy so maybe the paperback copy will be different.

I love Beau. 💖💖💖 Protective, caring and, sexy. Ashton has been a good girl all her life but deep inside she is rebellious. Sawyer, Beau and Ashton were childhood friends but when Sawyer ad Ashton went out, the friendship cracked. Once Sawyer left town and things happen, Ashton and Beau can no longer hide their feelings and acted upon it even if it meant cheating and betraying Sawyer. Beau is the town’s bad boy, Sawyer, the Prince Charming and perfect boy. The heart wants what it wants. I personally find Ashton not as likable because she was very fake, selfish, little redeeming quality. However, she does turn a bit real in the end showing her true character. I didn’t like how she would make her own decisions thinking it was the best for everyone even though it’s not. She seems like a kid which she is but it’s still frustrating. She also wouldn’t leave Sawyer at first even though she already cheated. I also didn’t like the fact that when she was bullied by the school, she did nothing and just silently took it and waiting for it to die down or for someone to save her. SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A BADASS HEROINE FFS. ANWAYS BEAU IS MY BEST BOOK BOYFRIEND.
Honestly I’ve been waiting to read this since 2016. I don’t know what was stopping me. Maybe it’s the cheating. I love badass heroines but this lady is erm not my type haha.
