Wow. Just wow. This book was a crazy ride from start to finish.
This is the story of Lucien Black aka the Devil himself and Aurora Arden a struggling writer. One night in Vegas and she wakes up married to the Devil. A Devil who vows to keep her at all costs.
Lucien is charming, handsome, filthy rich, dangerous, and lethal in ways Aurora canโt quite grasp. She feels this magnetic pull towards him, feels him before she sees him and canโt get enough even after seeing his true self, (well after she takes a minute to process).
Aurora is a good girl who thought she was on the right path until she visits her boyfriend at work as a surprise with his favorite lunch only to find his secretary riding him like a bucking bronco.
This story has so many instances where I wanted to strangle both characters as well as her brother and ex boyfriend. Omg if you have ever wanted to just slap someone silent itโs Logan the cheating ex. Ugh the author does a great job of making you loathe him. Her brother Max is overprotective to fault.
I have two issues with this story, well two character issues, one is her bff Clara and two is her brother Max and their understanding of her explanation that Lucien is the actual devil.
I feel like if my bff was to drop that bomb on me I would freak out and at the same time not believe a word she said. I would have offered to drive my friend to a 72 hour mental health hold at the nearest hospital. But I had to remind myself this is just a fictional story.
The jump between worlds was awesome and the detail in Hell was amazing. It was a telling/description unlike anything Iโve ever read before, very unique and very well done.
I enjoyed the majority of the story other than my rant above. I love their journey of learning each other as well as themselves. It had a little bit of everything in it. Mystery, lust, deception, fantasy, spiciness, betrayl, and of course love.
If youโve never read this author I recommend them. There werenโt any real triggers from my stand point unless waking up married to a stranger is a trigger or drunk, obnoxious exโs are then you may have an issue.

Aurora goes through a lot! She wanted to surprise her boyfriend and well let's just say they both got surprises. Aurora got the short end of the stick.
Clara is the best friend we all need. She was not having it so she decides to take Aurora to Vegas. Now Aurora is a writer and she is definitely not out going. No she is very shy and thinks of others before herself. Clara is able to break her out of her shell for a little while.
What Aurora didn't know was someone was stalking her and already claimed her soul. I'm sure your asking who could that be well I gave you a hint. He claimed her soul... yea you guessed it she found her self in the devil's grasp.
Lucian (love the name) I couldn't help but love him. He has a few red flags but it's fine it's fine. We will ignore those he is hot. I might be in love with him too.
Trust me you will love Aurora she is easy to relate too. The devil is well a devil so.. he is very handsome I might add and yea you'll be rooting for them before the end of the book. Aurora is his Starlight and he will do anything to protect her.
Aurora said herself their story is far from over and I have to agree! I can't wait for what's next. I loved reading this! I have a daughter named Aurora and a miscarriage that I named Starlight so naturally I had to read this book! I'm so glad I did! ( please don't be sorry... I now see it as a blessing in Disguise I got my daughter. Her name is Maleficent).

How would you react when you woke up one morning in Vegas...married to the devil? After catching her now ex boyfriend cheating, Aurora goes to Vegas with her best friend and upon meeting Lucian...her life is drastically, and maybe excitedly, changed.
To say I devoured it is a total understatement! I used to love the show Lucifer (after season 3 I didn't care for it but dang i can still drool over the actor lol) so I've kind veered toward some story lines this and of course Hades and Persephone ones.
I loved Aurora! I'm so glad that she isn't this petulant adult child that some stories like to paint their FMC as. She was smart and fun and NOT an idiot! And she had the bestest best friend, Clara whom I hope to get a story out of her if things persist with Marcus lol. Just saying.ย
Oh my dear Lucian, just because you a sexy devil doesn't mean you can keep stuff from our Aurora. I loved the way their relationship built even if it was a bit shocking in the beginning. Normally I would be like...ummm that's sketchy, but I can't help myself! I loved it!
Okay I'll stop gushing. The story is told in Aurora and Lucians povs. I'm not normally a fan of waking up married kind of trope. This was a fun read and you kind of start to root for this relationship because Lucian is the devil but Aurora is his Starlight and he will do anything to protect her.ย
This is a VERY SPICY book so I would definitely check your trigger warnings...because that throne scene...oh my...

This book was cute! Aurora catches her boyfriend cheating, so her BFF Clara takes her to Vegas for a classic rebound adventure. Enter Lucian Blackโmysterious, gorgeous, charming, and oh yeahโฆ filthy rich. They hit it off, and before she knows it, she wakes up married to him. Small twist? Heโs the actual Devil.
The pacing is fast in the beginning, which I loved, but once the wedding happens, things slow down as Aurora and Lucian navigate their new life togetherโdealing with insecurities, conflicts, secrets, and of course, some unexpected threats. The mix of fantasy, romance, and humor kept things engaging, and the side characters? Fantastic. They always add extra charm to a story for me.
Thereโs definitely an age gap trope at play here, and the fantasy romance element made it even more fun.

Who knew that the Devil could love?
Aurora is a well-established writer who discovers her boyfriend in a very compromising position when she tries to surprise him after learning of his promotion.
Cue best friend, Clara, to fix it all!! Gotta love a best friend who always wants to make a sour situation more fruitful, especially since she will get to guide her very shy, always thinks of others first, and best friend out of her shell, even if for a brief moment. So off to Vegas to ignore the heartbreak and break some hearts!
What Aurora wasn't expecting was to meet a man who had already staked a claim on her heart and her soul.
I truly enjoyed reading The Devil's Starlight. It was a nice pace, you will relate to the characters, even if you don't like one or two, and the story kept you wanting more. As Aurora said in the last line, "Our story is far from over," I do hope I get to catch what is next for Aurora and her dashing Devil!

I really liked the concept of this book and all of the elements were a lot of fun. It was an easy and enjoyable read. The execution fell a little flat for me. There were parts of the story I wish had been a little more flushed out and others that I felt were repeated.
The story starts when Aurora catches her boyfriend cheating on her. She tags along with her best friend to Vegas and wakes up married to the Devil. From there the two of them try to navigate their marriage and what all that means.
For the most part, I really enjoyed this book, but ultimately felt like it just needed more. The characters could have used more development, especially the side characters. I would have liked to see more of the MMCs POV especially prior to the two of them meeting. I feel like that was a missed opportunity. Thanks to A. Reibold and Hawthorn & Aster for this ARC!

There is a good mix of spice and suspense throughout the book and that keeps the pace interesting. I also enjoyed the โtoursโ which Lucian brings Aurora on. It was vividly described and make it easy for readers to imagine the scene.

I read "The Devilโs Starlight" and tore through it really fast. Itโs an addictive romance with that โwhat is even happening and why am I so interested?โ vibe, where the heroine goes on a spontaneous trip to Vegas and suddenly wakes upโฆ married to a stranger. Then the best part begins: Lucian Black is too perfect, too influential, and clearly hiding secrets that pull her deeper and deeper into his world.
I loved how the story keeps the suspense high and constantly throws new questions at you, while the relationship walks a razor-thin line between attraction and unease. In the end, itโs exactly the kind of novel that turns into โone more chapter and then Iโll sleepโ (and, of course, you donโt).

OMG I am such a sucker for a โThe Devil finding loveโ story! Do not care what else it is about, I just love when the โbig badโ Devil finds someone he becomes soft for. I literally melt! And Lucian in this story is just perfect! Also can I have a story of the besties! A quiet, shy and blushing demon with a high energy, over the top human, yes please!
Back to Lucianโฆ..๐ซ ๐ฅต!! Also enjoy our girl Aurora. I love her growth and how much she found herself. I also seriously like that she is a bit of an older FMC. Itโs highly enjoyable to read more mature characters!

This book was an awesome surprise! While the main couple, aka the Devil and his Queen, get together is rather quick and highly unbelievable... it really doesn't matter. The story and characters are so beautifully woven together that you don't care about that detail.
You quickly fall in love with all the characters - even the buttheaded ones. Which is not easy to write well so I give extra kudos to the author for that! The worlds are well written and balanced even better.
I started it and could not put it down. Every time I tried, I got mad and instantly had to pick it up and go back to hell. It was amazing. Cannot recommend this enough.

This was an amazing story. I loved the premise of it being about the Devil, Lucian, and a human, Aurora. Both characters had so much depth to them. It's really about darkness and light. Aurora brings the light to Lucian's darkness. She's like a beacon for him. They balance each other.
This is a beautifully crafted story. It's told in a way that makes you really believe Lucien is doing everything for Aurora in her best interest and out of the goodness of his heart. It might be in weird ways, but he learns Aurora is her own person, and she's independent. Totally loved this book!

I devoured this book! You know when you get into a book and you canโt put it down? That was me. It was a fun read and I wanted to know more about the mysterious Lucian so i kept going until I was completely out of pages.
Aurora and Lucian made that perfect couple even with how different they were, I mean Lucian is Lucian! They had the most amazing interactions and engagement. It was just to perfection.
We need our own Lucian!
I loved how the details were given and how easy it was to follow along.

I am a huge fan of dark romance and this comes with a supernatural aspect! What do you ask? Well, Lucian, our MMC is rich, charming and, honestly larger than life! But, what secrets might he be hiding? Wait until you find out where he's from!
Aurora's weekend and impulsiveness, now has Lucian Black in her life! He's her Husband! But, will he continue to be?
I couldn't put this story down.
And now...I'm checking out the other Riebold stories!
Cannot wait to read more by this very talented author!

A. Riebold never misses with her books. I've read 5 of hers, and this is my favorite. I mean, if she can make you love this MMC, what else is there? We'll written the story flows and at about 333 pages it's not one with a lot of nothingness. This one is a gem. Be sure to grab a copy up and happy reading.

This was a new to me author, but I spotted this blurb and thought it sounded really good, so decided to dive in and I am glad I did. I really enjoyed this book. The story held my interest and the chemistry between Lucian and Aurora was undeniable. I thought Lucian was awesome and I liked Aurora a lot, even if I did find her a tiny bit frustrating.

I love Aurora. She's so spunky! Clara is a pretty amazing friend. This book has such great characters and a deliciously wicked storyline. But wait... can we talk about Lucian? Oh my!.

I liked the story idea but it just felt repetitive and unfinished. Things seemed very rushed and as a reader I never really grasped the struggle Aurora was having. The conflicts were all resolved too easily so they felt insignificant. It was an okay read with quite a bit of smut, but nothing beyond that made it a must read. I would definitely pick this author up again though.
