Experience James, Emma, and Dane's story in one complete collection!

Book 1 ~ Guardian

True love never dies.
Emma Donohue begs to differ.

When a late night accident claims the love of her life, Emma secludes herself in memories of James. In his sandy brown hair and clear blue eyes. In their innocent first kiss and declarations of love. In their plans for a life together after college. But happy dreams can’t rid her of the guilt she carries. She can’t erase her actions the night he died. She can’t erase her reaction at his funeral. And she can’t erase the hollow void that fills her chest and consumes her heart.

The first time Emma hears James’ voice, she’s astounded. It sounds as if he’s standing right beside her, and she fears her shattered heart is trying to drive her mad. But, as she continues to hear the voice, she finds comfort in it. With the help of her best friend Shel and handsome newcomer Dane, she tries to move forward and start living again.

Until the voice in her head turns out to be more. So much more.

You know what they say.
True love never dies.

Book 2 ~ Allegiant

Last summer, Emma discovered that true love never dies.
It can return.
It can give you hope.
It can pull you from darkness.

Until it’s ripped from you.
Again.

As her 22nd birthday approaches, Emma Donohue finds herself back at school and utterly alone. Hours away from family and friends, her solitary days are spent contemplating what never should have been. James should never have died, but he did. He should never have been assigned as her Guardian,
but he was. And she should never have allowed Dane to get too close to her heart.

But she failed.

Desperate to fill her time, Emma is intrigued by her mysterious new neighbor, Garrett. She’s never met anyone quite like him before, and, curious, she attempts to discover his past. Little does she know his presence will pull her into a world she could never imagine. A world that follows an ancient doctrine.
A world built on loyalty, yet plagued by secrets and lies.

A world that will threaten everything – and everyone – she loves.

Book 3 ~ Reborn

You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone.

When Emma Donohue wakes to find her world turned upside down, she wants nothing more than to return to the life she knew. To a life filled with a loving family, close friends, and college classes. To a normal life that didn’t involve the supernatural, odd bracelets, or three strangers who refuse to leave her side.

Unsure of what truly happened during The Allegiant’s attack, Emma tries to reconcile her past with her growing feelings for James, Garrett, and Dane. They remain steadfast in her protection, awaiting the arrival of the only people who hold the answers.

The Larvatus.

When Madeline and Ash appear, the revelations they bring not only rock Emma’s world, but everyone she touches. Her mind is twisted, caught up in new abilities and new desires. Her old self forgotten, she has never been more scared. She has never been more confused.

She has never been more empowered.

You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone.
But, sometimes, the absence leaves space for something better.

Experience James, Emma, and Dane's story in one complete collection!

Tragedy struck and took the love of Emma's life. She can't erase the pain that consumes her heart. Her best friend Shel comes to visit to help her heal and it starts by visiting Jame's grave. Emma continues day by day and her heart is mending slowly but then all of a sudden she is hearing a familiar voice, the one she thought she would never hear again. Until the voice in her head turns out to be more...so much more...

I came across this trilogy sold as .99 a few days ago and it was it is story I that will consume your heart. This trilogy will bring not only the supernatural within but also a love triangle and different friendships.

Fair warning, first two books have major cliffys but great news is that all 3 books are out today! Meet the Charmed, Larvatus, Allegiants and the Guardians of The Guardian Trilogy!

I read Cardinal and Sparrow by Sara and they were amazing! So when I got the chance to meet her at a signing (She is amazing by the way!) and seen this series it was a no brainer… I had to read them! I started this series and finished in just a few days! Not because they were short, but because I could not put them down they were just that amazing!

Guardian-

What happens when you lose the love of your life? Emma feels she cannot go on, it is heartbreaking! This book sucked me in and consumed my life! I loved every bit of it. It felt so real, this is a well written book, and so enjoyable to read. I loved the characters Dane took a little while, but he eventually grew on me ;) You really need to read this book to understand, and I promise you that you want to read this book, it is amazing! 5+ Stars!

Allegiant-

I jumped right into Allegiant as soon as I finished Guardian and let me tell you it is just as good as Guardian! (Maybe even better, if that’s possible!) Some new twists are going on, another amazingly written book by Sara Mack!

Reborn-

This was such an amazing end to one of the best series of books that I have ever read! I did not want it to be over, and was in a huge book funk for a few days. If you’ve read the first 2 books, then you are probably not here to read these reviews because I would imagine you are already half way through this book haha! That’s how I was after the first couple of chapters of book 1!
If you haven’t read this series yet, what are you waiting for?!?!?? It. Is. AMAZING! 5+++ Stars!

Guardian:
You know what they say. True love never dies.

Emma is dealing with the emotional tragedy of losing the love of her life, her high school sweetheart James. As the story progresses you will take an emotional rollercoaster ride with her. Ms. Mack did a great job of writing the characters that will have you feeling all the sadness, anguish, and even moments of happiness in this story. What takes this story to another level is the paranormal elements. It is so much more than Emma hearing James voice. As this helps her start to heal it opens the story to elements of paranormal that she discovers about Guardians. You will even feel for James as he deals with his death and afterlife. I will be honest and say that I had mixed feelings about Emma hearing James, at times it felt like it was holding her back from healing but that ended up being farther from the truth.

I feel that I am reading a good book when you are invested in the characters and your emotions are constantly changing as you turn pages. You will get that with this book. I can't wait to read the other books.

Allegiant:
Emma has decided to return to college as she tries to return to some normalcy in her life. James is struggling with his feelings for her, as he does this he tries to stay away. Emma is still trying to deal with her feelings for James and Dane

This book is page after page of surprises, twists and turns. It is also a emotional rollercoaster ride with feelings as James, Emma, Dane, and other characters try to deal with the ups and downs. Ms. Mack does a great job to just throwing more and more twists and turns that you won't see coming. This is a great paranormal read with characters that you will be invested in me. Each book keeps getting better and better. As usual she ends with one he!! of a cliffhanger.

Reborn:
This was the best book in the trilogy. As Emma struggles to regain her memories she discovers new things about herself. I loved that we get to know more about The Allegiant, The Larvatus and The Guardians.

This book was full of action, angst, suspense, and romance as Dane and James compete for Emma's love. Emma has new abilities that she has to learn to cope with. When the people she loves are threatened she uses her new abilities to save them.

Will Emma embrace her new abilities and learn to live a new life, will her memories return, and will she pick James or Dane?

I highly recommend this paranormal romance read. You will be invested in all of the characters.

This review contains spoilers.

I did not like this trilogy at all. Emma's boyfriend, James, dies at the beginning of the book. She grieves, and hears his voice. He turns out to be her Guardian, so he can look out for her. I think she handles hearing then seeing her dead boyfriend WAY too easily and without the hysterics that would be the norm.

Emma moves to go to college, and she meets Garrett, who ends up being James' superior. It took forever for her to realize who he was.

During a fight, Emma becomes a Gifted, which is just something else that you have to remember.

The whole hierarchy of the Guardians, Allegiant, Gifteds, and Lavartus isn't well explained at all. I think I'd there was a little more background for me to understand then the story would've flowed better.

I also had a hard time remembering who was good and bad in the story.

I think this story was far fetched from the get-go, and there were just to many things to keep straight.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.
