Niamh

Now is so not the time to be solving someone else’s problems. But when a little boy is haunted by his past life’s murder, how can I not help him?

If I don’t get justice soon, he could be haunted for the rest of his life. Without any memory of what happened or way to move on.

The clock is ticking. But how can I solve a case that’s supposedly already closed?

Edie

A demon told me I’m more than just a witch and a necromancer. But what else could I be?

When I set out to find my answers from my biological grandparents, I didn’t expect to get caught up in a magical murder mystery. But here we are.

Could this murder help me find out who I really am, and what I’m really capable of? And if not, where do we go from here?

Join Niamh, Edie, Ben, Fadil, and Tilly as they delve into a world of murder, mysteries, and vampires in The Dead Man’s Blood, book 7 in the Afterlife Calls series. Inspired by 90s and 2000s fantasy shows like Charmed, Supernatural, and Ghost Whisperer, it contains standalone mysteries that tie into the rest of the series and can be read on its own or as part of the rest of the series.

The demon that is possessing Maggie’s husband mentioned that Edie is more than just a necromancer and witch before he got away with Harry’s body. Now, in search of answers, Edie is off to Spain with Fadil to meet her great grandmother. When they get to town, they find a haven for the paranormal with Edie’s great grandmother as mayor of the town. But the peace there is shattered when it appears that somebody is hunting vampires who are simply living peaceful lives. Then others start to get sick. Edie and Fadil are determined to put a stop to the killings, but what could possibly be harming vampires?

Meanwhile, back home, Niamh and Ben are thrown into turmoil as Ben receives a shocking visit from his witch nieces that turns into them staying over while their father takes some time. Not only do they have to deal with the misuse of magic from the two girl, one of Abigail’s school friends seems to be suffering from flashbacks to a past life. His mother doesn’t believe in the paranormal, and Niamh and Ben have to find a way to show her the truth before it’s too late to help the boy with his past life.

This was such a wonderful book to read. I would classify this as a comfort read. Expanding the lore of the universe, this book is a nice gentle addition to the series. After so much excitement, it’s a well-deserved break for the characters. Though not necessarily as exciting as the others, this book is a breath of fresh air instead of a terrified running gasps. And with the cliffhanger of an ending, I can’t wait to find out what happens to our favorite characters next. If you have enjoyed the series so far, this book is one I cannot recommend be ouch. Though it’s definitely not the book to start with for context.

Our love for each other makes us stronger.

MUST READ SERIES! K.C. Adams does it again with this outstanding seventh book in what is a page turner series! If you are fans of Supernatural and Charmed, you will fall in love with this series just as I have. These characters are so well written that you become immersed in their lives and feel like you too are a part of this group.

Edie and Falin are off on their own adventure in seeking the truth to what the demon they fought had told her about her powers. While Niamh and Ben, now back from their cruise, hold down the home front and it's not as quiet as they hoped. Will the gang find the answers they seek? Turn the page and find out! I can guarantee that you won’t be disappointed.

Just like Niamh and Ben, I too missed Thomas.

If you love mystery, intrigue, humor, and things that go bump in the night, you will absolutely love this series! I truly could not put this series down and cannot wait for the next adventures with the gang!

Book 7 of the Afterlife Calls Series is as captivating as the first. Kristina's writing is so good you are instantly transported into the world of Eddie and Niamh and feel as if you are right along side them. Dead Man's Blood introduces new characters, some human and some not, and new supernatural issues that need solving. There are some answers to the questions raised in previous books whilst creating new mysteries to keep the reader second guessing what will happen next. I cannot wait to see what the next book will bring.

The Afterlife Calls series is a real page turner and not one book has disappointed. If you like Charmed, Supernatural or Buffy the Vampire Slayer then these books are definitely for you.

Loved this book. I was lucky enough to get an ARC to review. It was very interesting to see the how past lives were addressed. I really enjoyed Edie meeting extended family and traveling with Fadil. The paranormal village sounds amazing (minus the hills). How vampire hunters operated historically was a new twist in lore for me. I hope to see more of Ines, Oscar, Violet, and Stella in future books.

I just finished this one and omg. As I was reading through Nimah and Edie’s stories and encounters they have in this book, my main thought was you really can’t pick your family or those who are related to you by blood. However, Nimah and Edie have created their own family with Ben, Fedil, Maggie, Josh and Abigail.

In this book Edie sets off to spend a week with her great grandma (Javi’s) grandma to learn more about his background and how Edie gets her powers of being a necromancer. She learns more than she thinks she is going to learn during her trip and learns about vampires while there. Which makes her wonder if she really wants one as a friend.

Nimah on the other hand helps a little boy who has been reincarnated into another boy. You will have to read to find out how it all happened and if she is able to help the little boy. Also, Ben acquires some twins that are his nieces and need Nimah and Ben’s help.

Can’t wait to read the next one.

Our favourite ghost hunting and favourite spooky gang are back! This book is just as good as the last if not better! Kristina finds a way of bringing more action packed adventures but keeps them fresh and exciting! They're never the same and you always learn or see something new! You can see how well the world has been written and built up, and how well the books connect; giving you the impression this series is far from over and there is much more to come! Which is exciting and engaging as a reader! I left wanting more! The characters are as lovable as ever and she leaves you as always rooting for them, I can't help but feel protective over this wonderfully written group of characters! I cannot wait for the next installment :)
