Unable to leave him behind, she wakes Zayden from stasis and offers him the choice between joining her journey to her brother, who crashed on the far side of a mountain, or discovering the planet on his own. As they navigate the untamed jungle, his skills prove invaluable until his Heat starts, and she finds herself helping him through it in unexpected ways.
Zayden wakes to the sight of a mesmerizing human who stirs instincts he’s never felt before. Drawn to Karla, he vows to protect her as they travel through the dangerous wilderness while struggling to control his overwhelming desire to claim her as his Mate during his Heat.
But when they reach her brother, Karla, and Zayden must will they escape the planet, or is their connection worth staying for?



“I have never met a human before,” Zayden murmured, closing the distance between us.
Our lips were a hairsbreadth apart, and I was so ready for the kiss that I was almost disappointed when his mouth moved away from mine. His nose nuzzled my neck, and he sniffed me, making goosebumps travel down my arm. As he breathed in my scent, he let out the most guttural groan I’ve ever heard in my life.
“What are you doing?” I whispered, afraid my voice would break the tension that hung between us.
“Scenting you,” Zayden replied.
“Why?”
“To see if you are claimed.”
“Claimed?” that word took me out of the trance I was in.
No man, male, Alien, whatever would ever claim me. I was my own person and didn’t belong to anyone. I pushed against his rock-hard chest, not moving him an inch. His muscles rippled under my touch and distracted me for a moment. When I raised my blaster again, he finally backed off.
“You can choose if you stay here or join me to the other side of the mountain, but there is not going to be any scenting, claiming or mating between us,” I said, my trembling voice betraying my inner turmoil.
He smelled delicious, and his warm body so close to mine did things to me I couldn’t put into words, but we didn’t have time for this. We were crashed on a planet Gods knows where with Gods knows what kind of creatures roaming the surface. The sooner I was back with Kai and we could get off this rock, the better.
“I do enjoy a challenge,” Zayden said with a sly smile.
I pointed a firm finger at him. “No, no challenge.”
His smile only grew wider as he leaned forward and licked my outstretched finger. A shiver of delight washed over me as his long, wet, and pointed blue tongue touched my skin.

i didnt rate this book when i first read the arc because it personally wasnt my cup of tea and didnt want to be a jerk BUT i definitely can see how people could love this and we should all should support indie authors ~

When Karla and her brother crash on another planet, the ship in pieces. The stowaway alien Karla find hidden onboard helps her travel to meet up with her brother using his Gaines survival skills to help. Along the journey Zayden comes in to Heat and needs Karla’s help to get through it leading to a few spicy encounters between the two and a new romance 👽

A fun and hot short read! There's an MMC in heat, an exotic-looking planet for the characters to navigate, schmexy chasing, horn and tail play, and mutual exploration 😏 I loved how the MCs bonded over their similar family history. The ending got me excited for the other book telling the story of the FMC's brother, so I'm diving right in!

Zayden is such a cinnamon roll who will do anything to keep her safe! Karla is a bad bitch who wouldn’t let crashing on an alien planet slow her down, but still keeps her heart under lock, even if she does feel a draw to this massive, horned alien. If you ever need a quick, pallet cleanser type of read, this one is for you!

ah this was such a fun read. I love Lilith's aliens and oh man Zayden 🫠 swoon! This was a quick read with chasing, mates, heats and very large red alien with horns. Karla is a strong willed human, who accidentally crash landed on a strange planet. After checking over the damage, she comes out finds our alien hero Zayden hidden away on her ship. He falls into his heat and Karla is more than happy to help in the most delicious way. I really liked this and am looking forward to the next story.

Lilith Leana knocks it out of the park again! Karla and Zayden are so endearing and it's such a joy to read their story. This has everything you would want in a novella. A strong FMC who tries to guard her feelings to keep from being hurt. A strong, gorgeous alien that will do anything keep the woman he's with safe!

I’m not quite sure how she always manages it, but Lilith writes characters I feel for in just 60 pages. Not to mention the spice really be spicin. I don’t read a lot of novellas where there is a lot of character development but the stories behind these two lovebirds makes me attached to them instantly.

Short, sweet, and spicy! This book has it all... moments of sweetness between them as they get to know each other, spicy times as she helps him through his heat. Zayden is a big red alien with gorgeous blue horns who crashed on an uninhabited planet with Karla, a fiesta human woman. He is so infatuated with her from the moment he opens his eyes, but he tries so hard to hide it from her so as to not scare her away.
