Someone born to maintain, fix, and correct any and every issue that could go wrong in the Habitat that he lives in. To make sure he and his fellow humans can remain on display and entertain their owners as any good human pet would.
Or at least, that’s what he was born to be.
Now after getting a second chance along with a super power that lets him alter anything and everything in regards to his own body, he’s trying to fix his life.
To live his life for himself with the goal of actually enjoying it, all while being thrust ever deeper into a situation he didn’t expect.
A situation involving Tongsta, their pets, and the galaxy as a whole.
One that’s going to need his help to fix it, whether anyone wants it to happen, including Wrench, or not.
Now that the Tongsta are firmly aware that Hume, and Grae, are living creatures, life is changing.
Wrench and his people are working the part of crew and earning their keep. Being treated as equals of worth instead of pets.
Except even as things change, there will always be problems that spring up. Things that break all on their own.
Which will of course require Wrench to fix it and anything that gets in his way.
At this point though, he’s getting tired of fixing everything and everyone that comes his way and his patience is wearing thin.
The fix it list only grows and the tools he has at his disposal are getting worn-out.
With any luck, this job will be done and Wrench can take some time-off.
I got about 70 pages into this third book in the series, and it's been months since I read the 2nd. I found I just couldn't reconnect with the MC or the harem.
As is somewhat common in the author's books, the MC is often quite distant, and feels like he does things more by rote than due to any passion he may or may not feel. Even finding out one of the harem members (that he hasn't had sex with to this point) is bat-bleeping insane and a homicidal mess she barely controls because of him doesn't do more than make him think "OK, forget I found out and just keep her in line."
I'd like a little more passion and enthusiasm from my MC, especially towards the harem. But this MC is mechanical, despite the fact that he flirts outrageously with every female he encounters. It's like he has some sort of flirting Tourette Syndrome in that he can't interact with anything female without being suggestive. At times, he feels more creepy than anything else.
Used to love this author. But recently the books are becoming predictable and not that entertaining. The moment wrench got blasted into space, I was like "again?" And told myself, if he finds himself on another enemy ship waiting for goodie to save him then I quit, sure enough I ended up just saying fk it and skipped the rest. The only part I even cared about is when wrench saved ryker.
If you enjoyed the first two, -Don't stop now Sex scenes / violence / Not really LitRPG. Surprisingly smart This series is easily one of the most Pro-Altruism that Randi Darren has written. It's light and fun (for him). and while things get a little weird... with the classic multiverse shenanigans, This is quintessentially it's own thing and a fairly enjoyable Sci-Fi story.
You can't end it like that. This has been a brilliant series and really hope you write a second trilogy to it when you have the time. Love wrench and they say he views the world especially his the relationship with mom. As always you write a great book and know how to leave people wanting more.
This is one of the weirder series I've read, but it's great because the things that are alien, really are alien. Strange technology and motivations and everything. Also, Wrench is probably my favorite protagonist. Love how sweet some of the relationships are.
I couldn't tear myself away from the book. An amazing conclusion to an incredible story. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have and will pray for a continuation, even if a short story :D
Wow, this book series kinda blew my mind and even knowing the tie-in with the greater universe of stories, I still got a surprise, again, WOW! Will there be a 4th or even a 5th, hoping to hell there will be!
Have been a huge fan of this author so any books he writes is an automatic buy for me since I tend to go back and re-read series again. Great book 3 and am hoping for more books with Wrench and his ladies.
A fine ending to this 3 book series. I enjoyed the characters and their adventures. There's a nice balance of the harem and action themes. I hope there's more to this series!
I felt like the ending was a bit rushed. Other than that, this has been a great series of three books. The world building was epic and the characters are enjoyable.
