⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Hailey Arquette does it again—and I am officially not sleeping near a mirror.
Okay… first of all, can we talk about Ethan?!
This boy—sorry, skull—had me cracking up and tearing up in equal measure. I started The Other Reflection thinking I was in for a suspenseful paranormal mystery (which, don’t worry, I got in spades), but I didn’t expect to get so emotionally attached to a ghost with a protective streak and a serious case of unfinished business.
From the jump, Reily Garrett drops you into a fast-paced, high-stakes chase that never lets up. Meeka’s on the run, blending in at college (as if finals weren’t stressful enough), but the second the threat shifts from the physical world to the psychic one? I was all in. And I mean mirror portals?? Psychic spirits?? Girl. I had goosebumps, and maybe checked my own mirror a little too cautiously for a few nights after.
What hits hard, though, is the emotional weight that rides alongside the action. Ethan’s sacrifice? Gut punch. His devotion to Meeka even after death? Total heart squeeze. But it’s not just tragic and sweet—it’s badass. Once Ethan realizes he’s not alone on the spirit side and taps into this squad of paranormal misfits? It’s like “Ghost Avengers Assemble,” and I loved it.
Hailey Arquette’s world always has that perfect blend of creepy and clever, but this book added a layer of grief, loyalty, and just enough snark to keep me flipping pages like my Kindle owed me money.
And look, I’m not saying I’m emotionally invested in a ghost, but if Ethan doesn’t get some version of peace, I will riot.
Bottom line: The Other Reflection gave me everything—mystery, danger, psychic chills, a devoted skull-boyfriend, and enough plot twists to make me question every reflective surface in my house. If you're already a fan of the Hailey Arquette Murder Files, this one just took things to another (literal) dimension. If you're new? Buckle up, baby. You're in for a wild, haunted ride.

I love getting multiple character views of what is going on - especially the villain side (full body chills each time). This book was extremely eventful as I was in the edge of my reading seat the entire time. Lost it when they captured the newborn twins. That resulted in Kiera’s group joining forces with Hailey’s crew to take down these big enemies and their special psychics. I love Dante’s return - Casper still has much to learn, the more help the better and their connection is a big part of that. The most exciting discovery was Trenton, the Major and Hailey’s extended talents - discovering what more they can do will help their cause tremendously. I love that Meeka has joined the group in Pennsylvania and they found her sister - I look forward to seeing what comes of their story. Cannot wait for the next book!

The Other Side by Riley Garrett is book 8 in her Haley Arquette and Casper Decur series. This book introduces Meeka Wilson a troubled physic & Ethan Sullivan, her deceased boyfriend who appears as a skull. The team must locate and try to save them before the enemy captures them. But it won’t be easy. As Haley & Casper continue to build their army, the enemy is doing the same. Even though they convinced the Tunneler to join their forces, the enemy now has Sliver, who can pull people through mirrors, and his deceased brother Dreamer, you can enter your mind through your dreams and control you. This will be their hardest battle yet. But, who will come out on top? Get ready for another great read from Riley Garrett.

I really enjoyed this book. I love the already established characters but Meeka and Indy are a great edition to the psychic team. I love how Addy and her team are evolving, and have become a force of its own. I found the new information we learn in this book about the funding of the team interesting. It was great to finally meet Ash and Taylor's twins. I would highly recommend reading the series from the beginning as the whole series builds on each book.

Another fast paced action packed book in this psychic series. Meeka and Indy join the team and they all try to find out more about their enemy who is always one step ahead. With the imminent arrival of Ashlynn and Taylor's twins emotions are all heightened. Brilliant.

Definitely needs to be read as a series book as so much is covered in regards to this entertaining and addictive character, Hailey Arquette and her paranormal universe of storytelling.

Book 8 of a series. For best reading experience grab the others first. You can read as standalone but some references will be missed.
Decent fast paced, fantasy mystery. Protecting someone doesn't always end with your death. Can saving them,save yourself?
Anyone who enjoys fantasy suspense mystery is going to be hooked on this series.

This series is so good! Hailey & Casper find a new psychic and her spirit partner and hope to help them before the bad guy gets them. There’s lots of action and drama in this book which kept me unable to put this book down.

Yet another compelling read in this paranormal series. Almost constant action as the team take on a rival protagonist and his allies, with some unexpected results. New members continue to join as this war continues. The range of abilities is amazing and highly imaginative.
