Oath of Allegiance

Rate this book
Betrayal. Revenge. Patriotism.

Allison Quinn has dedicated her life to protecting the Constitution and the people of the United States. But when a shadowy group called Anarchists for Tomorrow launches relentless cyberattacks across the nation, Allison knows their ultimate target will be more than digital—it will be devastatingly symbolic.

The stakes skyrocket as Allison uncovers their plan to strike at the heart of American identity—Mount Rushmore. Racing against the clock in the rugged Black Hills of South Dakota, she must outthink a high-tech threat and outmaneuver a network of radicals determined to bring the country to its knees. But in a mission where no one can be trusted, danger lurks at every turn.

This isn't just about national security. It's personal. Allison is convinced these terrorists are tied to her father's unsolved murder. Finding them means uncovering long-buried truths, seeking justice for the ones she’s lost, and facing a reckoning that could shatter her world.

As the fight intensifies, Allison realizes the cost of stopping these attacks may be unbearably high. Can she catch the enemy before the unthinkable happens? Or will justice for her family demand a sacrifice that changes everything?

In Oath of Allegiance , the line between justice and devastation has never been thinner.

The Allison Quinn Thriller series contain mainstream, high-stakes novels. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone. These books contain a small amount of adult language and violence, as is customary for the genre.

I was given an ARC from the author for my honest review and promotion on social media.

This is the fourth and final novel in the Allison Quinn Series. What a way to close out this series!

We are once again joining our three favorite JCTF agents, Allison, Donovan, and Kate on their hunt to bring down John Howard, his cyber terrorist cohorts and the AT. Allison is also still on the hunt for the person who murdered her father when she was 9 years old. She is haunted by that day, and tormented by the memory in her dreams.

We soon find out that phones are exploding, planes are crashing, cars are malfunctioning. Anything with a computer is going haywire. Our three have chosen to step back and go off the grid and old school NO technology. They have even chosen older cars that are not controlled by computers. They know or believe that they know where John Howard will unleash his next big attack and when. Mount Rushmore and/or Crazy Horse Memorial on July 4TH!! But their boss doesn’t agree. The JCTF plugged in the information and were given possible locations for future attacks. Our trio’s location was not listed, so it was pretty much dismissed. But they agreed on the date.

They decided to meet up close to Mount Rushmore a few days before July 4th. Allison hitches a ride and meets up with Kate then they travel together, while Donovan agrees to meet them there. They all travel back roads staying off the highways away from the cameras where they could be spotted. Once they get to the designated meeting place they dig in their heels and scout the location. The only problem is there are two locations and only three of them. Would John Howard be sick enough to attack and destroy one or both locations on one of the busiest days of the year? Or will he be stopped?
Vannetta Chapman was woven an action packed, nail biting suspenseful thriller. It is my opinion that she has answered the questions, dotted the “I”s and crossed the “T”s. Giving us (and Allison) closure.

I must admit that given all the plane crashes in the United States in just the first two months of 2025 made this one even more frightening. I also was reading this on my phone which gave it a different feel…would it explode? Could the USA be under a cyber-attack? Or is this just a coincidence?

This book is a great conclusion to the Allison Quinn series! After a life lived in reaction to her father’s murder, Allison finally comes to understand the difference between justice and revenge. That was almost as tough a battle as the ongoing conflict between JCTF and AT! (read this thrilling series to know what those important acronyms stand for). Beyond the exciting strategies and cyber tools, what I really enjoyed about this book was the off-the-grid approach that Allison, Kate, and Donovan took, and the patriotism woven through every chapter. Both aspects took me back to a simpler, easier time in America where people pulled together. The growing relationships among these three agents also made me smile. No matter how complicated life and technology becomes, nothing beats love and loyalty. I received an ARC from the author and wasn’t required to post a review.

Received as a review copy from Booksirens, this is an honest review. It's bittersweet to see this amazing, smart and sophisticated thrill ride of a series ending. And the author truly saved them very best story for the end as Allison Quinn, Kate and Donovan work off the grid after frightening attacks targeting mobile electronics means a more down- to- basics operation is how this trio will track down the terrorists behind this latest threat against the country. With all of this going on, Allison finally uncovers what was behind her father's murder death that delivers a satisfying and to such a poignant, heartbreaking narrative thread.

A great series to discover for the first time or to come back to read all of over again.

Highly recommended.

Here I am again, having just finished Oath of Allegiance by Vannetta Chapman, and feeling like I might’ve lived the plot myself as I am totally drained. Normally, stories centered on espionage, terrorism, and government agencies aren’t my go-to reads—but this series hooked me from the very beginning.

In this installment, Allison Quinn, a Department of Homeland Security agent, is tracking down a radical group called Anarchists for Tomorrow. They’ve already launched several cyberattacks across the U.S., and intelligence suggests their ultimate strike will culminate on the Fourth of July at and around the Mount Rushmore area. For Allison, though, this is also personal—she believes there is a tie to her father’s assassination which occurred when she was a child.

The stakes couldn’t be higher—for Allison or for the country. The story is fast-paced, tense, and extremely well-written, keeping you on the edge of your seat. Even if this genre isn’t usually your thing, it’s well worth the read.

I was so happy that this was the final book in this series. I don't think my heart or mind could take much more abuse. The highs and lows, the heart pounding action, and a touch of romance made it all worth while. The action, drama , and danger are relentless and nonstop. I was ecstatic when

some of the villains got their just deserts, but I was hoping for a fiery death for them all. No way should they be allowed to breath air after what they all took part in, but the author saw it differently. I did enjoy how it ended up for the couples. It was fitting. I voluntarily read a free copy of this book provided by book sirens and am giving an honest opinion.

Oath of Allegiance is the 4th book in the Allison Quinn Thriller series by Vannetta Chapman. This was a new author for me, and even though I had not read any of the previous books I could easily follow along with the story line. Allison, Donovan and Kate work together to finally put an end to the AT terror group. This was an action packed fast paced book, that I found to be entertaining. I would recommend this book to others.

I received an ARC from BookSirens, and I am leaving my review voluntarily.

Thanks to BookSirens for the arc. Reading the prior books is not a necessary thing as enough background is provided. The characters are well developed and challenge an anarchist group with designs on changing the fate of technology. The twists and turns are fun to follow and the evil is portrayed well. A good read

I so enjoy Chapman's work. She does her research for location or technological tools for accuracy in detail. This series installment wraps up the important story lines, leads relationships to their inevitable end, and gets rid of some of the "bad guys."
Be sure to read these in order.

Oath of Allegiance by Vannetta Chapman is the fourth and final book in the Allison Quinn series. While this book is part of a series, it is possible to read it as a stand alone novel. I recommend reading the other books in the series for a richer reading experience.

Oath of Allegiance is a suspense/techno thriller novel intended for a mainstream audience. As usual, Ms. Chapman's characters are very true to life and relatable. The novel begins with Allison Quinn hitchhiking in a country that is on the edge due to recent cyber attacks on personal electronic devices. Cell phones are exploding, electric vehicles are unreliable and potentially lethal. Cyber attacks have shut down major airports. Allison and her team, Donovan Steele and Kate Ballou, are off the grid and racing against the clock to stop a major attack that they believe is coming in the near future. The author's premise of technology being used by terrorists to harm unsuspecting innocent citizens is disturbingly realistic. While she admits that some of the tech in the story is only rumored to exist, it all feels very much in the realm of possibility. Given our current love of our devices and dependence on technology for communication, navigation, and entertainment and the very real threat of criminals or terrorists hacking into personal, corporate, or governmental technology and causing harm, the events in this novel feel disturbingly real. This is a very satisfying conclusion to the series.

Get your copy on release day, Feb. 25 and binge the entire series. You won't regret it.

Vannetta Chapman is a talented and versatile author. I have enjoyed reading her suspense books, her dystopian series, and her Amish fiction.

I was provided an advance copy of the novel by the author. All opinions are my own.

I received an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

The story begins with Allison heading out to meet up with Donovan and Kate at a location which the trio believes will be the next location for John Howard's terror group AT will do its' next attack. This location is different than the one that their task force boss believes will be hit. The task force has put at probable list together and Allison's location did not make the list. The one thing that they all agreed on was the date. The trio were being very careful as they travel to not use any items whereby their ultimate locarion could be seen because of a digital footprint.

The trio arrived at their lodging with a few days to prepare. They went to the two sites that they believed would be involved and made their preparations. The time for the event arrives and the trio had to split up to cover both. Kate went to one, while Allison and Donovan went to the other. They gave it one more try to convince their boss but were unsuccessful.

To discover the location the trio went to, what was discovered, what AT's plan was and how it all worked out, then read this book.

The ending is well done. Don't miss out!

This is the final book in the series, it is well worth your time to read all of the books.

Buckle your seat belts! You're in for a wild ride in the conclusion of this cyber tech series by Vannetta Chapman. Allison has been searching for her father's killer for many years. He was murdered when she was 9 years old. She is in a race for her life with her partner Donovan and good friend Kate. They are in pursuit of John Howard who is an extremist trying to get Americans to not be so obsessed with modern technology. When he devises a plan to destroy the Crazy Horse memorial and Mount Rushmore on July 4th, will Allison, Donovan and Kate be able to stop him and save the lives of many Americans? Will Allison finally have closure and find out who really murdered her dad when she was 9? Read this fast-paced suspense story to find out. It's a page turner. If you haven't read the rest of the books in this series, binge read them to know the whole story. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed are my own. #oathofallegience #bingereadthisseries #harpercollinspubishing

I was anxiously awaiting this next chapter in the Allison Quinn saga and it was truly worth waiting for. I have to give this a 5 star rating. If I could give it more I would. This was an absolutely brilliantly written and constructed book. It was continuous action, twists and turns from the very first word in the book to the very last. Vannetta has really researched her subject matter, has thoroughly developed her characters and as with all of Vannetta's books no matter the genre, a total experience to read. I am honored to have been one of the first readers and I can say nothing negative about this book. I really hope we haven't come to the end of this series and that we will go on several more adventures with Allison Quinn and her partner Kate and love Donovan. I highly recommend this book and I know that readers of this series are probably excited that it is about to be released. If you havn't read others in this series you could read this but it will make you want to go to the first book to see how it all began. My thanks to Vannetta Chapman for yet another outstanding book.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. The ARC version I received had so many errors that I had to reread sentences many times (missing words, extra words, wrong words) that it threw me out of the story. Hopefully, these issues were resolved in the final version.
This book was almost all action, with good, patriotic folks and over-the-top evil doers. I liked the setting and the inclusion of the tribal police. The action was relentless in the last section. The closure for Allison wrapped up too quickly to feel genuine.
This book was a very quick read and great for folks who like action.

This book completes the series of Allison Quinn, or at least that's what the author says. But you never know what an author will do when the characters are "this" good. I know I would love to have Allison's personal story come back to life in a book. This book is full of all the stuff I love....great suspense and action, technology I can't begin to understand that just makes the action better, and characters that are believable. I definitely couldn't stop turning the pages at some points when things got tense!
I was happy to be on the early readers team for this book.

An adventure packed thriller which did not disappoint. Allison and her team are in the Black Hills hoping to prevent a disaster caused by AT which her superiors are not convinced will happen. Unable to use modern communications, the team uses their intellect tract AT down. I receive an ARC from Book Sirens and the opinions expressed are my own.
