With a price on his head and the Vasyke determined to make an example of him, Captain Joel Richmond has one last chance to break free from the Necrodrome. Armed with stolen weapons and a desperate plan, Richmond and his dwindling band of allies must fight their way through an army of Lilri fighters while explosions rock the arena. But when their escape attempt goes catastrophically wrong, Richmond faces an impossible retreat into the deadly labyrinth of the palace, or make a final stand against overwhelming odds. The explosive third book in the Arena series.
5/5* Fascinating read! Outstanding! Space Gladiators in an Arena fighting with space fighters, shuttles, and any kind of space crafts instead of swords or chains. Loved the nervous tension, the edge of seat racing through mazes of buildings and bridges with whichever space craft they were assigned with. The prisoners fighting to death to survive and plans of escape. A riveting, action-filled, dramatic and ferocious scenes, gritty and grim. I love this series! It’s one of the best I’ve read of Daniel Young. He has outdone himself with the series.
I love reading this author's books and, have read most of his work.
This is why reading this series seems like deja vue. To readers who are starting to read Daniel's work, it is my opinion that you will not be disappointed in the least. However, for me, I can anticipate, while reading, what will probably happen as this resembles a terrific series by the same author, that I read not so long ago.
I have decided to stop reading the series after having the same reaction for the past three books but encourage readers to pursue reading if this is their first series with this author or, for lack of mentioning the series name that gives me the feeling of deja vue, have not Read the series about the military father who goes looking for his military son who was declared lost after an anomaly in space.
That is the only reason why I rate this series and book 3 Stars.
I guess it had to happen. The fact is that Joel Richmond's notoriety reflected badly on their jailors. A decision was made the would all have to die. No exception. But Zuna And Sonoko had a plan which could allow them to escape. But would they? This third book in the Arena series by author Daniel Young is quite an action sizzler as death seems to pursue Joel and company with a fierce ferocity. Enjoy
Joel Richmond and his team are back in the arena as the story begins and trying to come up with a new way to escape. Thus begins more flying battles, fighting prisoners and trying to survive it all. Was glued to the end and laughing as I watched it all play out this time. Could not wait to see what battles and surprises this time would occur. Loved it. Great story and characters.
Once again Joel is still trying to find a way to save his life and escape the Alien enemies. How will he accomplish this, is there a way. Full of danger and intrigue, will he survive what others before him haven’t been able to do. Can’t wait for more by this author.
