This is a fast-paced, spicy romance that’s hard to put down. The story follows a billionaire whose life is turned upside down when a woman, pretending to be his assistant, stirs up unexpected emotions. One wild night together leads to a sizzling attraction, but when the truth comes out, the stakes get even higher—he’s about to be a father.
The chemistry between the main characters is electric, and the tension keeps the plot moving quickly. I love humor as well as spice in my romance books and this did not disappoint! My family was annoyed at how many times I'd laugh out loud, but I couldn't help it! Gwynne is great at describing the characters so you understand how they're thinking and feeling and root for them to have their HEA. The only bad part is the story is short, so the timeline is short, but that makes for a great quick read. I definitely recommend this to everyone for a good laugh, not to mention some hot scenes!

I could not put this book down. Leah’s story will tug at your ❤️ strings, have you laughing and bring you excitement within minutes of each other while reading this book. When Leah’s roommate begs her to impersonate her for a few hours, Leah begrudgingly does it but meeting Duncan has been a game changer. Lies, detail work, emotions and intense feelings lead these two down a very bumpy path. Can Duncan win Leah over or will she run? Can Leah survive giving up some control of what’s controlling her life?.

Anyone looking for a steamy romance, read this book! I started reading it with the intention to put it down and come back later but I couldn’t put it down! I read the whole thing at once. I love that the characters are flawed and relatable. After I was done reading I just wanted to read more about Duncan and Leah. This book has it all- deception, real-world problems, tender moments and steamy romance. Highly recommend!.

Leah goes more than she bargains for when she goes in place of her friend to drop off papers that has her flying off to New York with the boss. Duncan knows that something is off but can't place it and as he spends time with Leah feels overcome him. When he learns the truth will he and Leah's relationship continue to blossom and lead them along the path to happiness.

I simply loved it from beginning to end ❤️! Gwynne’s books are compelling from the very beginning. Read this one in a few hours 😅. Duncan and Leah’s journey is unexpected, entertaining, alluring and powerful. Together they’re strong and perfect. Deceit and manipulation is what initially brings them together but they didn’t anticipate the chemistry all the lying would cause nor the love ❤️ born from it! A real page turner and very recommended reading !

I loved this book! Gwynne does a fantastic job creating characters that are relatable and the banter between the two main characters is perfect. She had me crying alongside the female main character. The romance and spice of this book was perfectly blended. While the male main character was a grump, we did get to see the softer side of him too. Can’t wait to read more of Gwynne’s books!

Very High School

The characters and dialogue were, surprisingly, very immature. I didn't notice it was less than 200 pages, which might be why the entire book spanned a period of time that was barely over one pay period. All of it, just - ridiculous. It surprised me, because I've read some of her other books and liked them.

Sweet love story

Leah is portrayed as a strong heroine, able to deal with whatever is thrown at her. Duncan is successful and dominant, although immediately attracted to Leah, who pretends to be her flighty roommate. I enjoyed their story and how they were able to grow together.

Duncan and his assistant

Duncan can’t keep assistants, he has no time for incompetence, he now has a new one, only the one who turns up is apparently not who he hired and it took a few days to find out what happened.
Loved this book, full of love and romance, kind of an instant attraction , very unlike both parties.

Summary captured story pretty well. He is supposed to be this tyrant but around her he seems all soft. She has to be his assistant for six months because her roommate screwed him over. They both can’t resist each other and somehow two forms of birth control don’t work. The minute he finds out he’s running to buy the ring.

This was my very first billionaire romance, and I absolutely loved it! I went in with uncertain expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised by the perfect balance of steam and substance. The backstory and plot truly kept the story engaging. Leah and Duncan's chemistry was electric, and I found myself so thrilled with how everything unfolded! While Justine wasn't my favorite character—she felt more like a source of tension in Leah's life rather than a beloved figure—I appreciated her role in the narrative. I wholeheartedly recommend giving this a read, and I can't wait to dive into the rest of the series!

I enjoyed this book a lot. It is a quick steamy read filled with just the right amount of chaos and spice.
The relationship between Leah and Duncan is all kinds of cute and messy, yet together, they work perfectly. They are relatable and real, and I love that they author can capture that so well. Flow and pace are set well, and it all makes for an easy, fun read.
