There's Still Beauty in This Street Love: Her Fallen Angel
Focus. No Distractions. Ángel Cruz had been chanting those words to himself most of his life, struggling to stay disciplined and dedicated in the crazy, brutal world that surrounded him. His work as an exclusive assassin demanded all his attention. Ángel had no time for relationships… until the day he set eyes and his wandering hands on Tamar Kinsey. For the first time in his life, he was distracted as hell, focused on the Kinsey princess. Ángel was determined to have her laughter, her loyalty, and the one thing he never expected to her love. Despite her family’s insistence on sheltering her from everything, Tamar Kinsey had made up her mind to master the underworld as well as her older brothers. Ángel Cruz’s offer to teach her the game was too good to pass up. Tay found Ángel’s dark persona and overprotectiveness both frustrating and alluring. Even as she learns to love her fallen angel, the demons of his unresolved past threaten to destroy any chance they might have in the present.
Their sexual chemistry was off the charts, but Briar Rose and Ty Kinsey were still figuring out this relationship business. An up-and-coming surgeon, Briar knew a stellar reputation is crucial to her goal of rising into hospital administration. The appeal of her young dope boy made her want to throw caution to the wind and, for once, just live. Ty vowed to renounce his player ways and rock with her solely. But, as Briar learns the profound importance of family to the Kinseys, she fears that her longest-held secret will keep her and Ty apart forever.

Poor Angel. This was decent I was hoping for more for Angel and Tamar.

It would be higher if half the book wasn’t a retelling—and I mean a straight-up copy-paste of the last book. Like, sis, we was there. However, I loved this book down. Her and these cliffhangers, though—I swear, if the other book wasn’t out already, I wouldn’t know what to do with myself.

So much potential
This author has so much potential. Hopefully, Elle will think about her reader’s suggestions. I feel these books are reading the same and the sex scenes are redundant. I also feel that each person should have their own story and there needs to be growth in these characters. Every woman that she writes about is extremely immature. The men also read the same.
Additionally, all the chapters read unfinished.
For this to be a crime family book nobody can fight and the women ain’t about nothing. They’re weak and they possibly maybe can shoot. The men are all controlling.
I love Alpha males but these males read controlling.
IMO: extensive research needs to be done before writing another crime novel or anymore sex scenes. For example, research BDSM. Read other authors to inspire you. Also, why do the women have to be weak spoiled brats. And if Tamar supposed to be the example of a “trill” female she isn’t. Maybe go watch Laura Croft, John Wick, to get some inspiration. Maybe read 50 shades of Gray or go watch Zane to get some inspiration for the sex scenes.
This review isn’t meant to be rude or anything. I just see so much more potential and feel like if tweaks are made it will level up

Being this is a continuation, majority of the book didn't need to be a retelling of book 3 in the beauty of this street love.

these cliffhangers!
Technically speaking, this is a continuation of the Beauty of this Street series and is really a Book 4. It doesn’t make sense to read this without the previous series. However, this has a lot of repetition of shared scenes with Book 3. Where the BotS series sort of has Tre and Tripp as the leads with their siblings playing significant roles, this spin-off continuation focuses more on Tay and Ty with their siblings now being main characters. This story focuses on Tay’s complex relationship with Angel and Ty finding out about Briar’s secret.

GOOD READ
This was a good read. The Kinsey family is growing, and the brothers are still overprotective of their family and the women in their lives. I love the moments with Tamar and Angel. The attraction and chemistry between these two is undeniable. Just when things are starting to look good for them, an immediate shift happens in their growing relationship. I'm rooting for these two and hoping for a positive outcome in part 2.

3.5 ⭐️ Angel and Tamar’s story is a bit difficult to get through. There’s not a lot going on btwn them two, it just seems like this book could have been part 4 or the original series. I am looking forward to Briar and Ty though.

This book had me hooked from beginning to end. There was love, drama, family chaos, threats, bad decisions, and enough emotional foolishness to keep me fully invested.
Trey and Shamar continued to stress me out because these two clearly love each other deeply, but getting them to communicate and act like they have some sense is a whole different story. Trey has come a long way, but that man still has moments where I want to reach through the book and shake him. And Shamar gives him a run for his money too, so honestly, they are perfectly matched in their own chaotic way.
I also really enjoyed watching the budding romance between Tamar and Angel. Angel is clearly falling hard, and seeing this man (who is usually so dangerous, controlled, and emotionally guarded) start to soften with Tamar was one of my favorite parts of the book. There is something about the way he wants to protect her and is beginning to envision a real future with her that has me completely invested. Their relationship is still developing, but the chemistry is definitely there, and I’m excited to see where it goes.
There were also so many moments that had me laughing, especially Trey threatening the ambulance driver while Shamar was in labor. Sir, please! That whole family is dramatic, protective, and slightly unhinged, which is exactly why I enjoy reading about them.
But that ending? DISRESPECTFUL. After everything Shamar went through, ending the book with her on the cusp of dying was just cruel. I literally finished the last page like, what the hell?! Now I have no choice but to immediately start Part 2 because there is absolutely no way I can leave things there.
This series continues to be messy, emotional, funny, romantic, and addictive. It’s also stressing me out in the best possible way.

Honestly yall can have Angel. Not my cup of tea. This was ok. Part of the same story just from another perspective with a few new things added in. Seems like we’re caught up now so the second book should be all new.
The following are all the thoughts I had while reading this book so it may contains some spoilers:
The way Angel is talking about himself…yeah I don’t think he could pull me! He's not lying about shallow women but yeah they can have you pookie! I don’t want a man that every woman has had! I just realized that I don’t want a reformed hoe! Yeah single for life! 🤣🤣
Blessed with the gift of sight at four years old? Hmmm well that little girl in Apocalypto was around 5 or 6 so maybe so. Lol
Yeah as of right now I don’t care for Angel. You’re not going to feel me up like that at your family function. Especially since yall aren’t in a relationship at the moment.
And then she doesn’t have on any panties. 🧐🤨 smdh

Angel is such a complex character. You can see the pain, the trauma, and the layers that shaped him, which makes his relationship with Tamar feel even more intense. Their story really shows how complicated love can be when someone is carrying so much darkness.
Meanwhile, I’m rooting for Briar and Ty, but Storm is doing everything she can to get in the middle of their relationship and it’s getting real irritating. Briar might need to go ahead and put her foot in her ass because the patience would’ve ran out a long time ago for me.
Side note: Tre and these baby names had me cracking up 😂 He said my babies gonna be royalty!
And Elle, girl… another cliffhanger?! Heading over to the next book immediately!

3.5 ⭐️
This was good….focusing more so on Àngel & Tamar and Briar & Tyrese.
Angel is one selfish man. I hope he redeems himself in the next book because I strongly dislike the way his character is headed right now. Poor Tamar.
As for Briar & Ty goes….Storm needs to take her little behind somewhere. She is thirsty and annoying. I feel so bad for Briar and how that secret came out the way it did. 😢
The cliffhangers that Elle leaves us on tho….geesh! You can’t help but want to start the next book!!
Again, I would not recommend this book by itself. I would start from the beginning and work your way down for better understanding and appreciation.

So good!
I have been so into this series it’s keeping me on the edge of my seat. I have laughed so much. I have so many questions I hope all are answered and closed in pt2. The wedding sounds so beautiful but that dang Storm is doing the most I’m hoping this is the last of her quick. Angel better get it together with Tay. Shay and these twins whew everything better be alright or Tre will lose his mind even more.

Im late writing this review so I don’t remember much but a good bit of this are things we already know from book 3 of the other series. I will admit the retelling had so much more detail and is written so much better in my opinion. Having a story focused on only 2 couples made the writing much better. I might not remember it all but I was a solid read

I love a good novel but love even more. Really crazy story just like this one idk who’s crazier Angel the hired killer or Ms Tay whom is Boss lady and Angelina’s smitten to no avail what wi he do or will he do anything to gain Tay’s attention…. Maybe she’s feeling I’m as well but you gotta see for urself .
Happy reading

Now she pissed me off how she wrote this book. She literally took all the same passages/parts from the series before this and expound on the situations. I wasn’t keen on having to reread the whole story AGAIN just from Angel and Tamar point of view… 😒. Yes it helped bring their love story together but it’s literally word for word from the other book. Don’t like that.

Elle Elle Elle
This is how you write a story. A cliffhanger?!?! Elle is good with given you a dual love story in one book. While delivering shock and awe. Im so invested in these character stories and their growth. That for me, what makes a book 5 stars!

No ma’am… Same chapters in last book.
Good book, 3 stars because it’s quite a bit the same chapters as the previous book which really ticked me off. Love this author but if I had actually purchased, I’d feel jipped….and, I don’t like that.

Angel & Tay
The way that Angel stepped behind Tay needs to be studied because he was broken. He didn't want to talk about his life or explain anything but expected Tay to fall in line.

I love the author. I love the narrators. The storyline is a little bit for me for Book one I’m gonna move on to book 2 and see if I can get a grip. A lot of characters. This family is new to me. Probably should’ve read the other books before this audio to get an understanding of the family.

Fairytale gets on my nerves BUT Storm has lost her mind. Angel & Tamar do the absolute most too. Everybody else got it together at least. Tre having twins is CRAZYYYYYYY.

this is too much like the other books so I just didn't love it as much

Overall pretty good. There should have been a warning that it was going to be a pov of the same day. I didn’t mind it but I would have rather not have the retelling of the events.
