On his own since he was fifteen, Ángel Cruz has never had to explain how or when he moves to anyone. As someone who works from the shadows, he goes where and when work calls. That's me, in short. I've been writing since elementary school and won my first prize in seventh grade. I am a romantic at heart and love a happy ending! Join me on this writing (and reading) journey--you won't be disappointed!
This 5-part series has been a real page-turner. Did it meet 5 books? No, and some of the plot was dropped along the way sacrificed for the author’s choice to write the whole ensemble together. I would have wished for a bit more detail in this e.g. what happened to Isa after that conclusion… or for that matter what Tre did with Angel’s stepfather. I also found Angel and Tay’s back and forth will they won’t they frustrating, and Ty and Briar incredibly immature, particularly Ty. However, whatever I felt about the characters I can’t say this didn’t have me hooked and turning the pages. It’s only my second book by elle kayson and I’m intrigued and want to read more.
This was a great ending to the Kinsey siblings, their significant others, and growing families. What a rollercoaster it has been with Tamar and Angel. I'm so glad they were able to work their issues out and move forward in the next chapter of their lives. These characters have definitely grown on me through the wild crazy moments, silly antics, and finally, finding the perfect women and man to love and honor. The author does a great job with her stories because they keep you engaged and wanting more. Can't wait to read what's next.
This was a good ending to such a wild ride, but whew these women wore me out with their temper tantrums and attitudes sometimes warranted and sometimes drawing out the story but it was good to see everyone get their HEA!
I'm going through it with Angel and Tamar and I'm glad these two stubborn folks got it together. I want more of the Kinseys and I want to see more of Angel and Tamar together. Plus with all of the family weaved into both series, I feel there's much we missed with Ty and Tripp's evolutions. Here's hoping there's more to come.
Angel is TRASH!!!!! Idc i’m sorry but to me Angel and Tamar are toxic love. I am happy with how it ended though.
The following are all the thoughts I had while reading this book so it may contains some spoilers:
Smdh Briar is wrong for choosing her bestie’s cousin to “get over” Tyrese. Do you not remember what he did to Brennan? Hell Dominique saw what he did to Brennan. I wouldn’t have gave him the number. And idk why yall still go by that saying! That’s the dumbest shit to me!
And that’ll do it for me with Tyrese! You only have one time to threaten to harm me and i’m out! ✌🏾 *click* would have hung up so fast!
A limo to Pappadeaux? Ok.
The logical part of my brain knows there’s no way in hell a doctor’s office would just let you write your name on a specimen cup. You could write anybody’s name on it. But maybe that’s how they do it in Houston. 🤷🏾♀️
Now the pregnancy test idk. Maybe you could get the results fast.
Why do you need to meet her at a restaurant to get her out of town? See this is that stupid shit. 🙄
“Somehow, I never took you for a fuck boy.” Shiddd i saw it from the beginning.
Wait did Angel choose his big mama over Tamar???? And you still with this man? Yikes

3.5⭐️- Okay I did like this series a lot and it wrapped up the whole family for me. Ángel & Tamar may just be my faves 😭 he’s actually been through it and my heart breaks for him. My second faves had to be briar & tyrese and he was so down for her which we love to see.
But for me I felt like a lot of the book was just repeating itself and the same issues just kept cropping up. I don’t hate break ups in a book cos I love some angst but damn they broke up every chapter like chill 😭😭😭. Even in the last chapter they’re still arguing at a certain point it’s boring. Overall still an enjoyable book and I liked this one better cos it focused more on the two main couples
My only complaint was that the story didn’t continue, I was a part 3! I really do like Elle’s style of writing with her many different characters and POVs-it really was interesting seeing everyone’s perspectives. The storyline had a bunch of twists and turns and I love a book you can’t figure out in the beginning. Spice level was 5/5. This book kept me giggling and thoroughly entertained-a true page turner and the entire series in general had me in a chokehold.
Awesome spin off, couldn’t put it down. Read all 5 (for 3 and then the 2 spin offs) in 3 days. Tamar had me laughing in this spin off. Angel put her through it, geesh! But after understanding his upbringing versus hers even though they’re both in the street game, it made complete sense as to why their personalities were the way it was throughout the series. Love the Kinsey family as a whole, sad to see them go but love their happy endings!
We should get an Angel, Tre and Demon collab. Now that would be something.
I give it a good 3.75/5. I hate to see a woman taken out of her feminine energy and Tamar did a lot for me. A little too much sometimes (like pulling the gun on Isa)… also it was so unclear if Angel was fully Puerto Rican or half black so his (and his abuela’s) use of the n word threw me for a loop sometimes.
At first I was tired of the Kinsley clan. They were mostly reckless however heartfelt. I loved the bond of the brothers and the sisters. Angel was a hot mess!! But a hell of a protector. I couldn't stop reading it. It was good. Even when I would think come on Ty and Briar Rose. Finally, they got it together. I loved it!! Thank you for the entertainment!!✨️✨️💯💯💯
I enjoyed this series so much!! This story had me on my toes from beginning to end! The perfect blend of drama, comedy, & spice!! It ended perfectly and beautifully! Bravo, Elle!
I’m tryna figure out how Tamar got married before Shay???? I don’t like it lol. It’s good though. Im kinna annoyed with how silly Angel was and how he kept running 🙄🙄, but it was decent. I’m glad everyone else had a happy ending also…..
I wanted to love Tamar and Angel but this book was long and drawn out with too much of the prior books & scenes written into this one, just like part one. It came close to being a DNF because it just kept going Ang going without any purpose it felt like.
Loved it! Still think the over use of "my seed" was a bit cringe BUT that is a personal problem! All the way from Shay being kidnapped to Tay getting Married this series has been amazing! I laughed so much and would recommend to ANYONE interested 🥰🥰
This series ended so cute, I was giggling & rubbing my feet together the whole day it took me to finish. You can definitely see the growth in Elle’s writing as you go through this series and that’s also a beautiful thing to see.
Angel pissed me off the whole book then scared me. It all could’ve been avoided. I’m glad Fairytale and Ty got it together. I need more of the Kinsey siblings.
This is the second part to the phenomenal series of The Beauty of the Streets, and I loved this entire series starting with Shamar and ending with Tamar and her story! Did not expect all five books to be this good. So glad I picked up this series and read them.
