This book will probably be on my reading list if I am honest. It is about the Failsafe diet. The failsafe diet is an additive, amine, salicylate free diet. Additive, amines and salicylates are in so many of our foods and they affect so many people as well. Some people are affected with behavioural issues, some with health issues, the list of what can be affected by your diet is immense. Unfortunately in the UK there aren't many dietitians, or Doctors who believe that diet has such an impact, seems to be mainly because it doesn't show up in tests! Most of the research and resources available are from Australia.
Anyway, back to this book. This book is mainly written for parents doing this diet for their children's sake. It has some antidotes from patients doing the diet as well as some basic information about the diet. It has a handy fridge list of what to 'eat' as a starting point. It also has a handy wallet list of additives that you can find in foods when you are shopping, that you should be avoiding.
The main helpful resource for me is that the book has loads of recipes. It has breakfast, lunch, mains (including vegetarian mains), snacks, baking, sauces and gluten-free recipes as well. It has given me more variety in my diet and more ideas for me to try.

It can't hurt to see if diet is a factor!

This is a book that changed my families life for the better, I use it all the time for recipes and we have never been healthier. My daughter no longer has night terrors and tantrums, she no longer gets asthma. I don't get eczema anymore!
It really makes you think twice about what you put in your mouth, and what you are prepared to feed your children.
