Alaskan Hideaway

Rate this book
Anna and Jim Nolte retire to a remote Alaskan cabin after growing completely disillusioned with people and society in general. The cabin was constructed as a hunting and fishing lodge catering to people who wanted to fly in to a remote location, but not sacrifice their luxuries like indoor plumbing. Anna and Jim are soul mates and preppers to the core living a subsistence lifestyle where Jim could hunt and trap to his heart’s content. Even in remote Alaska, they are confronted with an EMP attack on the lower 48 and the uncertainty of knowing what will happen next.

a good short read

This author is a good PAW/prepper fiction writer. The only flaw is his need to make one or more anti liberal rants in each book. Pro tip for writers: not all preppers are far right!

really not worth the time spent reading

I have enjoyed the author’s stories up till this one, sadly this one is terrible, so bad that I’m warning other readers.. Mr Carson you can do better

short story with a different concept

Less prefer how to, more married couple innuendo.

Overall a quick read, but nothing exceptional.
Story was well edited, and decently paced.

Dumb

The sexual innuendo throughout was a distraction! The characters did not even seem real. Is muskrat harvesting really that simple?

Good story

The whole story was good. The way the characters prepared. But the casual way they carried on was unrealistic. The story was too short. Left wanting more.
