This is the third book in the Euphoria series.

Hailey Langley is a former special crimes investigator turned biochemistry professor. Her husband, Mark, a government agent fighting drug trafficking, is currently recovering from extensive third-degree burns. Euphoria is a deadly illicit drug that has torn their lives apart. Embracing Euphoria opens in South America where Hailey is helping her frenemy recover the daughter the woman shares with a cartel leader.

This book has a lot of layers. It’s sweet, exciting and has great tension. Embracing Euphoria opens with a fast-paced action sequence that involves sneaking onto cartel land, getting caught and then escaping. Part of the book is devoted to Hailey’s relationship with Mark, as they try to heal his wounds, both physical and emotional, while at the same time hoping to repair their marriage. And then there’s the grieving father hell-bent on revenge.

The story is smooth and easy to read. Even though I hadn’t read the first two books, I had no trouble following the plot.

In the final book in the Euphoria series, Hailey Langley is a woman of many talents. She’s a government agent, a scientific researcher, a college professor, and a full-time mom. Now, she’s trying to rescue a kidnapped child in Colombia. Back home in the US, her estranged husband, Mark, is going through his strenuous rehabilitation in an undisclosed location. Their marriage is on the rocks. All Hailey wants is to reunite with her husband and be a family again with their teenage children, but Mark’s trauma and the danger Hailey finds in Colombia follows her back to the States. How will she and Mark rebuild their lives together?
I’ve been waiting a long time for the conclusion of Hailey’s story. It’s been years since I read the first two books, but they slowly came back to me as I read this one. In my opinion, this series needs to be read in order, so start with book 1 and work your way through. Hailey and Mark are wonderful characters. They’ve both experienced trauma, and their response to that trauma was very real. I really missed not having Parker in this book (he died in book 2), but he was one of my favorite characters in the series.
The POV shifted between Hailey, Mark, and José, the main villain, so the reader gets a wide overview of what’s happening in each aspect of the story. Most of the action/suspense scenes took place in the beginning and at the end. I wish there had been more of them. Ms. Becker does action well. The middle mostly focused on the couple’s strained relationship. At times, the medical/scientific jargon was hard to follow, but it was necessary to flesh out certain parts of the narrative.
Embracing Euphoria is a wonderful, satisfying conclusion to the Euphoria series. For readers who love crime thrillers, espionage, and romance, I recommend you check out this trilogy.

As “Embracing Euphoria” by C. Becker opens, the reader is really dumped right into the middle of the action, in a rescue effort in at an estate in South America to rescue a woman's child that is being held by the kingpin of a Colombian cartel. The fast-paced action further escalates from there, with plenty of thrills in a story packed with suspense and intrigue.

The novel centers on Hailey Langley, a woman thrust into a perilous situation where survival and trust go hand in hand. After narrowly escaping an attempt on her life by Colombian criminal Manuel Mendoza, she becomes entangled in the desperate quest to find his missing daughter, Rose. Yet, as danger lurks, Hailey realizes that even allies—like the unpredictable Colleen—may have secrets of their own.

This story is a whirlwind of action and emotional depth. Mark, Hailey’s husband, is recovering from brutal injuries inflicted by Mendoza’s men, and his healing journey—both physical and emotional—is interwoven with the enigmatic Euphoria plant, which might hold the key to his physical restoration.

Becker nicely crafts a fast-moving narrative filled with unexpected twists to keep readers engaged. The characters are multidimensional and interesting—Hailey’s tenacity shines as she faces relentless obstacles, while Mark’s internal battle with his scars, both physical and emotional, brings a compelling emotional layer to the novel.

Overall, this is a fast-paced, riveting read. Becker’s storytelling grips readers from the outset, making this a difficult book to set aside. If you love fast-paced thrillers with unpredictable turns and strong characters, this one deserves a place on your shelf.

Hailey never thought she’d see her husband Mark again. But Mark is scarred both physically and emotionally from the fire. Plus, there’s a new villain from Columbia who’s itching to make Hailey and her family pay. Both Hailey and Mark will have to let go of the pain and trust the love in their hearts if they are to overcome this latest adversary.

Embracing Euphoria is an action-filled romantic suspense I couldn’t put down. This is the final book in the trilogy, and it kept me on the edge of my seat while reading. The premise is like something you’d hear on the news. The descriptive narration and world-building makes for a tension-filled story. The couple may be an established married couple, but they have many obstacles to overcome.

What makes Embracing Euphoria an unforgettable read are the characters. Each character is well-written while also being realistic. The character arcs of Hailey and Mark over the course of the story allows the reader to care and connect with them. There’s an emotional undercurrent to the story which plunges the reader alongside the characters.

C. Becker showcases her writing ability in this tale. Each element of the story brought me closer to the characters. It’s clear she did her research on drug running and drug cartels. Well done.

If you’re looking for an intense romantic suspense, you’ve got to read Embracing Euphoria.

Fictional Euphoria is a South American plant with a split personality. The part that addicts and kills is cultivated and sold by a Colombian drug cartel. Another part has the potential to be a miracle medicine. A strong cast of characters live on either side of the equation, their lives entwined and enmeshed by the plant, all working through traumas committed by the drug.

Hailey Langley is a government agent, a scientific researcher, a college professor, and a full-time mom. She has a personal interest in bringing the drug dealers to justice; her son died after taking the drug, and they almost destroyed her marriage after setting fire to her husband, Mark. Her pursuit takes Hailey in this final book to the jungles of Colombia for a hair-raising rescue of a child kidnapped by the son of the drug lord. Old grudges are resolved, mysteries are unwound, and ends are tied up.

The Euphoria trilogy spans decades and is a complex, intelligent, page-turner thriller and romance. C. Becker brings her experience and excellent research skills to inform readers about the world of illegal drugs, medical science, and justice. If you haven’t read the first two books in this trilogy, I strongly recommend doing so.

Phew - what a ride! Embracing Euphoria delivers a powerful and emotionally charged finale to the Euphoria trilogy, tying together the threads first woven in Finding Euphoria and Losing Euphoria (only one of which I have read, so now I need to backtrack!). While the novel can stand on its own as a gripping mix of medical thriller and romantic suspense, readers who have journeyed with Mark and Hailey from the start will appreciate the deeper emotional resonance and character growth that culminate here. Becker skillfully balances the tension of danger and the tenderness of healing, exploring how trauma and love can coexist in the face of overwhelming odds. The story’s pacing feels urgent yet grounded, and you are thrown straight into the action from the off. The Colombian setting adds both exoticism and peril to the narrative. As a standalone, it’s an engaging and satisfying read—but as the conclusion to the trilogy, Embracing Euphoria feels truly cathartic, offering hard-won closure and hope to characters who’ve survived so much. Bravo C Becker - a great read!

The last book in the Euphoria trilogy opens with explosive drama. Hailey Langley and her unlikely sidekick are deep in the Columbian jungle trying to rescue a little girl from her drug-baron father and human-trafficking grandfather.

Back home on seemingly safer ground, the focus of the novel shifts to the rebuilding of Hailey’s marriage (after thinking her husband was dead) and the slow and painful journey to healing after unimaginable trauma. Trouble is never far away, however, and Hailey must face her nemesis one last time in a final blast of nail-biting action.

Riveting action scenes aside, the book is a sensitive exploration of how the bonds of love, family and friendship can give one the strength and courage to surmount all obstacles. It’s a heart-warming end to this well-written series which expertly blends romance and family drama with action, adventure and science – an entertaining mix!

Hailey Langley is back, and she still has a ton on her plate with her husband, Mark, recovering from severe burns in a secret location, two teenagers at home, and she's trying to help her friend in South America get her daughter back from a cartel leader. I liked the combination of internal character-driven and external plot-driven conflict being used to drive the suspenseful and tense storyline along. Hailey and Mark both have trauma in their past to reckon with—especially Mark—and they've both made enemies in the dangerous world of drug cartels. The science side of things, particularly the fictional drug Emphoria, is interesting and written in an accessible way that the average person can follow. I liked that the drug has a beneficial side to it, as many drugs in real life do. Fans of romantic suspense and action suspense will enjoy this book.

Embracing Euphoria is a Romantic Suspense with a lot of punch. The plot is a good percentage of the plot. It starts out with action and continues with it. The romance between Hailey and Mark overcomes his life shattering injuries as he struggles to become whole. At first Hailey believes Mark is dead and after she finds him a live, she joins his fight. Included in the plot is a deadly plant that can kill but handled right produces a miracle salve.

This is the 3rd book in the series and I would advise reading the first two as this book doesn’t provide a lot of back story. It’s like coming into a movie about a quarter of the way in. Still, I found it a good read, enough to give it 4 stars.

Embracing Euphoria is a high-stakes medical thriller with deep personal conflicts and unexpected emotional depth. The plot is full of twists and turns. The characters feel real—particularly Hailey’s tenacity and Mark’s vulnerability. The balance of sophisticated medical intrigue and raw human emotion, creates an engrossing story. If you’re looking for a book that keeps you guessing and also leaves you caring, this one is a strong contender. I didn't read the first two and I wish I would have because even though I was able to pick up the plot after the first couple chapters, it would have given me more insight about what was going on in the beginning.

Embracing Euphoria is an epic thrill ride, and the science and suspense kept me turning the pages! The mature romance was refreshing, and the strength of Hailey Langley and all that she and Mark faced got me emotionally invested in these characters. The plot is top-notch, and the twists kept me guessing. The author knit together a plot that is steeped in real-world issues written with depth and sensitivity--I couldn't help but root for the characters and cheer for them after each challenge they overcame. This was a fantastic conclusion to a series that gripped my heart and mind!

Embracing Euphoria by C. Becker is the final book in this intriguing and suspenseful trilogy. It’s a great read, especially if you like edge-of-your-seat suspense and action-filled scenes, all complimented by a soul-satisfying romance. The author has obviously conducted a great deal of research into the world of illegal drugs and foreign cartels. The hard-hitting story line rings true. I highly recommend this book.

This is a deep story that took me by surprise. When I think back on why, I believe it’s because the characters are so well thought out. Sure, the plot is satisfying – defying the drug cartel and its consequences – and the writing is smooth and clear, quite engaging, but I think I mostly grew to like the characters as I read. The realistic romance brought it all into place for me. Overall, a good read!
