Some doors should never be opened...

Former detective Morgan Reed thought he had left the shadows of his past behind—until a viral podcast and a missing ship off the coast of California pull him back into a world where cutting-edge technology meets buried secrets. Reed soon uncovers a terrifying conspiracy linking covert government projects, advanced weaponry, and a force so dangerous, it threatens to reshape global politics.

As the lines between reality and the impossible blur, Reed races against time to find the Daedalus Key—a secret capable of world-altering devastation. From the sun-drenched beaches of California to the frozen waters of Alaska, he faces shadowy agencies, ruthless tech moguls, and a relentless assassin known as the White Lion. But as memories from a killer's mind infiltrate his own, Reed’s greatest challenge may be figuring out who he can trust…before it's too late.

For fans of Michael Crichton and James Rollins, The Daedalus Key is a pulse-pounding, mind-bending thriller where science and myth collide. Get ready for a high-stakes ride packed with twists that will keep you guessing until the final page.

Author also writes under Brian Shea

BRIAN CHRISTOPHER SHEA has spent most of his adult life in service to his country and local community. He honorably served as an officer in the U.S. Navy. In his civilian life, he reached the rank of Detective and accrued ten years of law enforcement experience between Texas and Connecticut. Somewhere in the mix he spent five years as a fifth-grade school teacher. Brian’s myriad of life experience is woven into the tapestry of each character’s design. He resides in New England and is blessed with an amazing wife and three beautiful daughters.

Writing has always been a dream, but life seemed to find a way of interrupting. It wasn’t until recently that he dedicated time to this passion. His first book, The Camel’s Back, gave him a much-needed mental break from his work investigating atrocities against children. He allotted time in the morning each day. Usually waking at 5 to bang away on his manuscript. The second round of daily writing would occur after his children were asleep. He proved that working full-time and raising a family were no longer valid excuses to putting off his novel.

This is the fourth and final installment of the Memory Bank Thrillers series. This series collaboration between Brian Shea and Raquel Byrnes gives readers a techno thriller that is unique, creative and entertaining. This book is the action packed culmination of the series! Will Reed be able to unravel the ‘madness’ of a killer’s memories buried within his own mind to stop the launch of a weapon which could devastate the entire world? Reed is once again joined by his childhood friend Coyote and his former partner Natalie De La Cruz in this quest to finally stop a madman.

The Daedulus Key is a fast-paced story where a new weapon can do much harm and violate the rules of engagement. Reed has his memories mixed with those of Slater and there's a void in them he cannot get past and fill in the blanks. The White Lion seems to be mixed with Slater's past and is also hunting Reed, what are the motives? Will Reed, Nat, Coyote and Jacoby be able to arrest Danzig, the mastermind behind Slater, the White Lion and the new weapon? This is one of those stories that'll keep you reading through the night. Higly recommended!

The Daedalus Key (Memory Bank Thrillers Book 4), my eighteenth read from author Brian Christopher Shea again co-written with author Raquel Byrnes. Excellent technothriller, the conclusion to the Memory Bank Thrillers series. Shea is a master character creator, blending seamlessly with co-author Raquel Byrnes. I look forward to more from this collaboration. “I received a complementary Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it.
